Have you check out My Day Skincare Routine 2015 post up a few days ago? No? Okay, here’s the link . You know what, thinking back at what a dear friend told me last Friday, seven products is still a lot. She’s right. Seven is a lot . But I do sneakily skip one or two sometimes so it wasn’t that bad for me. I plan to cut down more when I finish off a few more products. I don’t like to waste skincare. I usually finish everything before moving to another new product.

Enough of the babbling, here is My Night Skincare Routine 2015 as promised

Night routine is one product lesser than my Day routine lol. What’s missing here is the weekly treatment products like scrubs, masks and so on. I also don’t include makeup remover in the night routine because I use them in the evening, not night before bed.

Cleanser and toner was the same as Day routine, except that I switched the cleanser to a new cleanser bought from Luxasia warehouse sale a few weeks ago.

Cleanser – Talika Photo-Pure Foaming Cleanser

Talika is famously known for their Lipocils Expert eyelash growth treatment. That was until they launched two series of skincare and later on body care. Last year Talika Malaysia sneakily launched a range of basic skincare products as the existing skincare range only consists of serum and moisturizer. So the basic skincare products will complement to the existing serum and moisturizer. I bought this foaming cleanser on impulsive because it was on super bargain of RM60 for a retail size cleanser, facial scrub and a sheet mask. I have no regret over my impulsive purchase as I’m always into self-foaming cleanser and this does it’s job nicely. The only downside is that each pump only dispense a small amount of foam. I have to pump at least 5-6 times each usage.

Toner – Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion

Ahhh this toner. I want to repeat on how much I like this toner but I’m gonna sound cheesy again heeee! You can refer to this post and this full review post on the toner . In a nutshell, this toner miracle-ly maximizes the entire Crescent White range and other brand products that I decided to slap onto my face.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

Some call this toner, some call this pre-serum, some call this miracle water but actually it’s an essence. An essence that has the texture and consistency of a toner. I used to use this in replacement of toner and there was no different with my skin. Then I realized that a toner is suppose to be used before this FTE in order to ‘bring out the best’ of the product. In fact Facial Treatment Clear Lotion is highly recommended as this two product work so much better hand in hand. I used it after Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion and it a good combination for me. Try it!

Eye Cream – SK-II STEMPOWER Eye Cream

Sometimes I amaze myself for the ability to make a dent into a product so fast. This STEMPOWER Eye Cream and Magnetic Wand is my current obsession. I really hate those fine lines on my under eye and I’m willing to try anything to reduce the appearance. The fact that the magnetic strip on the Magnetic Wand is able to deliver 3x more key ingredient in STEMPOWER Eye Cream is already enough to motivate me in using it diligently.

Essence – Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum

I’m a firm believer in pushing all the good skincare in the night routine because our skin repairs itself when we sleep. I use a full dropper amount of Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum when I’m not using Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream. When I do intend to use Innisfree moisturizer, I would skip Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum altogether. Meaning, I would only use one anti-aging at one time as a part of my initiative to reduce the number of skincare products.

Moisturizer – Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Créme

My most favourite night moisturizer has got to be the Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Créme. This one I GO GENEROUS because I really do want to get rid of all the spot marks. So far it has been working well, slowly but gradually reducing the marks. This 50ml jar can last for a good few months on average use. I say it’s quite worth the money. Once or twice a week, I will switch to an anti-aging moisturizer – Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream

As much as I love my Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Créme, I knew that I have neglected my anti-aging routine. I don’t really need it but I like to do prevention. This Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream is a cream-gel moisturizer that melts to essence-like consistency and it is able to moisture my skin at the same time. That is why you will notice that I don’t have any hydrating products for night routine. I have to be really careful with the amount of product for this moisturizer because if I go generous with it, it gave me a pimple or two the next morning. The intense version is even worse lol.

That’s my Night Skincare Routine at the moment. Not as dramatic as what I posted in 2012 or what I’ve used in 2013 through 2014. The products are pretty similar for Day and Night routine, the only changes are the cleanser and moisturizer. If you notice, my main product range is brightening. It helps to brighten my complexion, which could go dull if left unattended and lighten all the unnecessary marks.

What’s next? My weekly treatment products update . Have a great Monday ahead! I know mine is not going to be good.

I remember last year I wanted to do an updated skincare routine but the amount of product I used was ridiculously a lot so the idea was left hanging. I also remember reviving the idea the next following month and the products was still embarrassingly a lot so the idea was left hanging once again. The beginning of year 2015 is where I simplified everything in my life. I’ve always been a girl who like everything simple (except for my beauty routine) and I thought I should take a step back and cut down on my skincare products. You can say that I’m doing a ‘spring cleaning’ on all complicated things in my life. My skincare routine is the first I revamped.

If you recall, this (click on the link) was my 2012 skincare routine. I know, I know. It’s insane! I’ve no regret with what I used to use because I love the pampering session I put myself into daily. I’m now older and lazier *lol*. I’m going to split my skincare routine for 2015 into two post. This is My Day Skincare Routine 2015.

It may seems nothing much but from 11 products to 7 products, it’s a big step for me. Admittedly, sometimes I skip one or two products so that makes it around five products . I’ll tell you what product I sneakily skip below.

What I will not skip is my cleanser and toner.

Cleanser – Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Cleanser

I reviewed the whole Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening range about two weeks ago and it is the best brightening range I’ve used so far. I’m a fan of Estée Lauder brightening products because they works on me. The cleanser can be used day and night but because I have a new cleanser and I wanted to stretch out the usage for this cleanser, I only used it day time.

Toner – Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion

I may sound cheesy if I say I like this toner very much right? But it’s the truth and I’m running out. I used to skip toner, now no more. I find that toner binds everything together, especially if I follow up with SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and so on. To be honest, I’m not so picky on toner. Any toner is fine for me as long as it’s not heavy and sticky.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

My experience with this ‘miracle water’ has been a hate and love relationship. I said hate first because it doesn’t do anything to my skin after going through two bottles. Here’s my initial review. I was gifted this pretty huge bottle of Rochas Limited Edition 2012 a few months ago so I took it out to use. This time it is LOVE. I feel the difference with my skin. I can’t really pin point what but overall my skin looks good. My skin is now more balance, no longer as oily as it was before. The two bottles I’ve gone through doesn’t do that although I was told it will but this big bottle does what was claimed! However, this is also a step that I sometimes skip because (1) I was in a rush, (2) I don’t feel like using it or (3) I’m lazy

Eye Cream – SK-II STEMPOWER Eye Cream

I went through eye cream as fast as I go through moisturizer. It is something that I don’t take for granted and I don’t skip regardless it works or it doesn’t work. Before receiving the SK-II Magnetic Eye Care Kit for review, I was using SK-II Facial Treatment Essence-Eye. As I was composing this, I’m still on STEMPOWER Eye Cream and I will still be .

Essence – Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum

I don’t know what happened but one day I came to the realisation that I accidentally taken out all my anti-aging products from my routine. Thank goodness I managed to find a crack line and slot in Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum. I like this serum for it’s ability to works from the inside so I will always know that my skin are well taken care of. This serum has been nothing but awesome to my skin. I have to admit, sometimes I do skip this serum due to time constrain, which I’m not proud of myself. I usually try not to unless I’m really running out of time.

Serum – Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Spot Correcting Essence

I stopped using acne marks lightening gel all together and only use this Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Spot Correcting Essence to combat with old and new acne marks. So far it has been doing a great job especially on the new marks. They don’t even stand a chance . I’m running out of this serum very soon and it’s very expensive to repurchase. I have not found anything that work as good as this one so most probably I will repurchase the whole Crescent White range since most of the products are running out *cry*. Bless my wallet lol.

Moisturizer – Yadah Pure Green Emulsion

I wanted to give this away but no one wanted to try it so I took it back. Luckily none of you wanted this because I fell in love with it again. I fell off the bandwagon with using this briefly because I have a few moisturizer to go through but I always come back to this. Among all moisturizer that I have, this emulsion texture suits my skin the most for day time use. It’s super hydrating, non-sticky and doesn’t makes my skin oily in the afternoon, under makeup. Just a pump of this and I’m ready for makeup. This bottle is quite huge and I barely used up half bottle

There you have it! My current day skincare routine for 2015. I’m very happy with the simpler arrangement and I don’t intend to change anytime soon. That means I have to repurchase Estée Lauder Crescent White, which I will try my luck at the coming Estée Lauder staff sale. Look out for my night skincare routine post soon!

As I get older, I get obsessed with maintaining youthful skin and that includes getting obsessed with anti-aging products. I’m blessed with a ‘complicated’ skin that are not dry therefore I didn’t need to be worry about wrinkles. I really like to get my hands on anti-aging products that works from the inside because I believe that is easier and more important than working on fixing what’s on the skin surface. This is why Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum is right down my alley.

Funnily, I am not quite sure what this Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum is all about. I started using on the same day I got it because Antipodes is one of my favourite organic brand. Not that I’ve tried a lot but once I found a brand that I like, I stick to it. So have I found out what this Worship is? You bet I have. Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum is a water-based serum accenting the antioxidant potency of New Zealand-grown superfrui that helps the skin to maintain its youthfulness. It did it by fortifying skin cells against early ageing and free radical damage. Now that’s not too complicated to understand, isn’t it?

What I like about the serum, just like everyone else is definitely the scent. Organic or all natural product to me tend to be on the earthy or woody scent, which I find it hard to take in. But this…this smells heavenly! Antipodes serum in general are one of the best smelling organic product ever. It is made from a blend of wholesome of superfruit complex Vinanza Oxifend Plus®, boysenberry, blackcurrant, kiwifruit and revolutionary antioxidant Vinanza Grape® from grape seeds, which are extracted with a technique using only pure water for high natural bioactivity and no chemical residue. Add all that with shots of coffee berry, açaí and the essential fatty acid alpha lipoic acid (ALA) and voilà! A supreme daily organic skin booster.

The serum is bottled in an amber glass bottle, together with a glass pipette dropper dispenser. The serum is water-based so it is extremely light in texture, non-sticky and absorb into the skin with a few gentle pressing on the skin. I’ve cut down on the number of serum to use in day time from three to just one, so I added this into my day routine as well. However I only used three drops and 1/3 dropper amount for night time. Since this serum is also an anti-oxidant serum and the water-based consistency is lighter than my other serum, I use this serum right after eye cream. I go by smaller molecule product to the largest

Anti-aging product efficacy is very subjective. I can’t tell you this removes all my wrinkles because I have none. I can’t tell you my acne is gone because this is not what it is for or can I tell you my spots are lighten because this is not whitening product. But I can tell you that this serum did help my skin by boosting it from the inside and boosting the efficacy of my skin care. It’s very hard to explain. My skin feels different whenever I apply this serum. My makeup adhere so much better the next day and keeping my dehydrated skin hydrated thus lesser sebum. After all, Worship is scientifically shown to inhibit oxidative stress in-vitro by up to 90%!

I had a conversation with a friend a few days ago on the regrets I have with my skin care routine. My only regret has always been the fact that I started really late on a proper skin care especially anti-aging. I came from a family where my mum is not into all this. She never tells me not to pop my pimples or not to touch my face that could cause infected and acne buildup neither have I been told to use basic skin care in my teenage years. So now I’m catching up all the time I’ve lost. Whenever someone commented that I used too much skin care (they only wash and moisturize by the way), I just smile. No one will understand until they are hit 30. I guess I have to wait for them to call me and ask for skin care recommendation lol . Where am I heading with all this you ask? This boils down to my advise to start young and start smart in skin care especially anti-aging. Start young means in your 20s, start smart means choose the product wisely and not use everything. You may not see any difference when you’re at your 20s but when you hit 30s, you will appreciate all the prep work you’ve put in

I probably have no sane idea how this Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser review will turn out because when I’m typing all this out, I’m high on flu, sore throat and fever medication. Oh yes, it’s a deadly combination of sickness. I spent the whole of Saturday and Sunday on bed covered with two blankets, a jacket and fleece socks on. Let’s hope this review turns out fine *fingers crossed*

I still remember that I got this cleanser right before Chinese New Year this year. It has been sitting in my beauty stash for months before I took it out to use two months ago. For some reason I took a longer time to determine if I like an all natural product or not as to compare with other skin care range. That is because on my skin, natural product takes a longer time to work.

Antipodes is a New Zealand brand that came out with range of certified organic and premium natural skincare as well as makeup. I’ve tried Antipodes makeup products before but not their skin care. The Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser will be my first. This is a brightening cleanser in gel form. It contain properties to clean, clear and gives blemish-free skin, thanks to the action of exfoliating extracts from the New Zealand kiwi superfruit and vibrant hibiscus flower. It also contain Manuka honey that has antibacterial powers and antioxidant-packed Vinanza Grape which form the perfect union to help reduce and balance oil production, helping grant your healthiest glow ever.

When you see Antipodes, you will spot the signature green flora wallpaper design. I like the simple, medicine-like bottle very much. It is very opaque that I cannot see at all how much product is left in the bottle. Opaque bottle is crucial in any skin care product in order to preserve the ingredients in it from deteriorate. The bottle is also quite well-made. I find it quite hard to squeeze the bottle to dispense the product out but thank goodness the cleanser is quite liquidy that it came out in a jiffy.

Since this is a natural skin care product, I do not expect it to lathers up like other cleanser. The cleanser is a dark brown liquid that smells pretty much like honey. The scent is very pleasant and soothing on the nose. When I tried to warms up the cleanser using both wet palms, I don’t get any foam action. I still get the gel-ish texture on my hand. However it’s a different story when I massage it on the face. It starts to foams up just a little bit. It’s quite a decent gel cleanser to use but when I need to double cleanse after removing makeup, I do find this cleanser to be too mild. Therefore I’m only using this cleanser in the morning or when I need to wash my no makeup face middle of the day.

The Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser contain four main benefits as below. I do agree that it is a gentle cleanser and since it also lightly exfoliates, I guess I wouldn’t know . I do like that it brighten my complexion slightly. However it doesn’t quite balances my skin’s oil production. Mainly because I don’t use it that often.

• Gently cleanses and lightly exfoliates without irritating.
• Reduces and balances skin’s oil production.
• Natural extract of fragrant and refreshing green apple and cardamon.
• Leaves the skin clear and blemish-free with a healthy glow

This cleanser smells so good for a natural skin care product! I have yet to come across one that smell as good as this. This cleanser do lives up to it’s name of being a gel cleanser. It is a true gel cleanser that doesn’t lathers up. It is something different from every other cleanser that I’ve tried before and I didn’t know if I like it or not. It’s more gentle and milder than my other cleanser that’s for sure. It took me two months to fully understand the cleanser and how it works on my skin. The conclusion? I like it more day by day. The fact that it smells good and it brightens up the complexion makes the cleanser a whole lot better.

This bottle is a 200ml and all I need is a 5 cent coin size cleanser each use. Can you imagine how long it will be by the time I’ve used up the cleanser? A very long time.
