When Innisfree had it’s store opening at Sunway Pyramid back in December 2014, I was so busy with work that I couldn’t sneak out to the opening. No matter how excited I was at that time to know that Innisfree is finally here, I just can’t go. Then when Innisfree invited me to get up-close with Lee Min Ho in January, I couldn’t attend either. Heck, I was too busy to even reply the email. That’s how busy I was with work. Some brand / PR company tend to remove me from their future invitation list if I didn’t attend one of their event so I thought I’ve already missed the boat. Turns out I was wrong. Innisfree’s PR was so kind to tell me a little secret on a brand new skin care range that they will be launching in February and they want me to be the first few to try. My Instagram and Facebook followers would have already know that the skincare range is none other than the Orchid Line.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream 15th Anniversary Set
In conjunction with the launch of Orchid Line, Innisfree released a very very verrrryyyy Limited Edition Orchid Enriched Cream 15th Anniversary Set (RM101). This set is so awesome for what it is and the best part is, you are paying for one product and get the rest for free! That’s not all. The hand cream is not available for purchase. It is only made available for this limited edition set. Let me tell you, once you’ve tried the Orchid Cream, you will want to beg to purchase the hand cream because the smell is sooooo gooooooddd.

Like what I said to Innisfree PR, it is rare that we can find skincare that are made using orchid as the main ingredient, what more a Jeju Orchid. Jeju Island is just one of those areas that orchids grow in abundance, in full splendor they deserve and Orchid-growing areas have always been heralded as a natural wonder that can take one’s breath away. Jeju Cold Growing Orchid was chosen among 60 kinds of orchid native to Jeju due to its great antioxidant effects. It is rare, so difficult find and grow wild as the seed is almost invisible to the naked eyes. Why Jeju Orchid you ask? Well, this type of orchid has an unbelievable strong will for survival in the harsh winter in Jeju Island. It’s beautiful in the spring when it blooms, smells amazing and lasts longer than any other orchid. After years of research and development, Innisfree finally found a way to extract its essence and processed it into Orchid Elixir™. Naturally a good antioxidant, it also works well with functional skin-activating ingredients to rejuvenate tired, ageing skin and to restore its natural self-defense power. This results in healthy skin with a radiant glow. In a nutshell, Orchid Line is an anti-aging skincare range 😀

Orchid Enriched Cream (RM101 / 50ml)

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream
Orchid Enriched Cream is the first product I tried on the same night I brought the set home. The first thing I do is to smell the cream. I died-ed with the scent. SO GOOD! It carries ‘cream’ in its name but in fact this product is more like a gel-cream texture than a cream type of cream. This cream is formulated with Jeju Orchid extract, Jeju Green Complex and green pea extract to firm up sagging skin, reduce wrinkles, reduce signs of visible pores, firm skin, improve skin tone and nourish skin.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream Texture
The texture is quite different from any other gel-cream I’ve used. It’s moisturizing but not oily. It’s a gel that melts slightly to essence-like texture and as I rub it into my skin, it absorbed into the skin in no time. I like that I can go very generous with the amount or be moderate. Either way I don’t get any breakout. I thought I could use it in the day time as well. You can if you have dry skin. However I find that my face gets oily on faster rate and my foundation slipped thereafter. In fact this product is more suitable for normal to dry skin. I have combination skin and I still find it to work well on my skin. Just not day time use 😀

This has got to be the most comfortable cream on the face. It is light weight and it makes my face so smooth and bouncy from the hydrating properties. If you see from the photo above, I’ve already ‘dug’ a hole into the tub and that was a week after I’ve got it! As I’m typing this, I’m already left with 1/4 jar. That’s how much I love this cream.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream Hand Swatch

Orchid Intense Cream (RM113 / 50ml)

Innisfree Orchid Intense Cream
The set I have also comes with a near half of full size tub of the Orchid Intense Cream. As the name suggest, this is the intensive version of the above Orchid Enriched Cream. It is formulated with Jeju Orchid extract, Jeju Green Complex and Jojoba Ester to help with wrinkles, skin firmness, skin tone correction, extreme dryness of skin and pores tightening.

Innisfree Orchid Intense Cream Texture
The texture is once again different from other intense cream I’ve tried. It’s not a gel-cream but a cream cream. It stays rock solid in the tub, unlike Orchid Enriched Cream that moves a lot. This small tub is so precious that I dare not go generous. Having said that, I like to pamper my skin with generous amount whenever I feel that my skin is drier than usual. The smell is similar the less intense version, which I really love. However my nose detected a crisp, fresh orchid scent lingering in the tub and the Orchid Enriched Cream doesn’t. In another word, it smells expensive.

This Orchid Intense Cream is not meant for everyone. It is made for those who has extremely dry skin. You can still use this product even if you have normal, combination or oily skin. Just use a pea size will do. I wish I read the info before using because I use this cream as if I have extremely dry skin. Yeap. I go generous sometimes. As a result, I suffer from pimples popping out here and there on the face. But I still like it!

Innisfree Orchid Intense Cream Hand Swatch

Orchid Hand Cream SPF15 PA+ (only available for Orchid Enriched Cream 15th Anniversary Set)

Innisfree Orchid Hand Cream
If you like slathering Innisfree Orchid cream onto the face, you will want to use a thick generous amount of the limited edition hand cream too. Let me just tell you that the scent is like a moth to the flame. It is so addicting. Innisfree hand creams are known to be non-sticky. Same goes to this Orchid Hand Cream. It finishes off to velvety satin, not a single stickiness left on the palm and I can still be happily typing away on my notebook. Once again the scent is synonymous to the two other products. Yes it is quite fragrant, some might feel that it’s overpowering but I find it quite acceptable on the nose. As long as it doesn’t smell awful 😀 . Some hand cream gave me sweaty palms. This one doesn’t. So there’s no major sticky situation happening.

Innisfree Orchid Hand Cream Hand Swatch
Here is how all three product texture in comparison just in case you’re wondering.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream 15th Anniversary Set Hand Swatch
If I remember correctly, there are just 1,000 of this Orchid Enriched Cream 15th Anniversary Set for sale beginning of February 2014 for just RM101. That’s right. You pay only for Orchid Enriched Cream and get the rest for free, especially when the hand cream is not for sale at the store 😀

I’m not so into hand cream but having said that I do, for some reason have a small amount of hand cream stash in my vanity. When I do put on hand cream I usually go for subtle scented one, and not the one that are overly fragrance infused. It’s rather odd considering the fact that I like my skin care to to be scented 😀

Hand cream is the most common gifting option for the ladies especially at times like this when Christmas is just around the corner. I’ve been lemming over Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream one year ago when I had skin allergy on my hand due to some hair product chemical. I remember clearly that I used to popped by any Clarins counter just to squeeze a huge dollop of Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream. And my hands would feel so much better and velvety smooth after that. I was given a 8ml sample to try but I wasn’t ready to splurge RM95 for a tube of hand cream. Last year, I happily redeemed a full size using points accumulated from Club Clarins 😀

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 6
This tube of Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream that I first own and reviewing today is the old packing. Do note that Clarins has changed this to a new packaging which is much more sleek and elegant. But comes with a screw cap. Oh bummer.

Despite the new, sleek, elegant packaging, I still prefer the old one for this hand cream due to the flip cap. It’s so much convenient when it comes to hand cream.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 7
Clarins said that their Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is an emollient-rich hand treatment that are infused with soothing Sesame Oil and fortifying Japanese Mulberry. These key ingredients works by forming an invisible protective “glove” that shields hands from the elements thus minimizing signs of ageing. I have to agree on this because Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream do indeed finish off velvety matte that resemble an invisible glove. With this “glove” on, hands and nails are visibly soften.

It is quite rare to find a multi-functional hand cream so Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is a gem. Not only it helps to soften the surface of dry hands, minimize signs of ageing, it also help to strengthen nails and condition cuticles for naturally youthful-looking hands. Say goodbye to dry, chapped, irritated hand!

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream can be quite interesting to use at first but in fact you don’t really need a lot. I usually use half of the stripe below. Below amount is just to show you a much more clearer picture of the hand cream :D. Sometimes when I feel that my skin is super dry and flaky, I’d sneakily squeeze as much as the stripe below to use. But of course it will take a much more longer time to absorb in lol.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 3
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is in a soft beige color but finish off colorless and the main selling point is definitely that velvety matte invisible glove finishing. I have this tube on my work desk in the office which I usually reapply each time I wash my hands. It doesn’t stain my laptop’s keyboard nor give a sticky hand shake but despite the velvety matte surface, it does get a bit slippery when in contact with water. Just wash it off completely and you’ll be fine 😉

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 4
Also got to give credit for the non-oily surface on the hands. It’s quite a hand cream I would say because it does help to condition my hands but I couldn’t see the product layering on my hand surface. It is not a surprise that many love this Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream as well.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 5
This year I redeemed another two full size of Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream but for some reason I now ended up with a few 30ml *facepalm* from various GWP and value set therefore I’m selling off these two full size :). You can check the sales up at this link.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is available at all Clarins counter and Skin Spa outlet nationwide.

Hada Labo has always been a skin care brand in my memory. Remember their “patting” lotion aka Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion? Then somewhere end of last year 2012, we have witnessed Hada Labo venturing into base makeup with the launch of Air BB Cream. This year, Hada Labo once again stepped out of the comfort zone and released two Hada Labo Hand Cream – Deep Moisturizing Hand Cream (Rose) and Whitening Hand Cream (Lavender).

Hada Labo Hand Cream1
I will start with individual review of both hand cream separately before comparing both hand cream at the bottom of the post :). First up. My mum’s favorite, which is also my favorite!

Deep Moisturizing Hand Cream – Rose (RM19.90 / 50ml)

The name said it all. This Deep Moisturizing Hand Cream is for those that are suffering from dryness on both hands. Did you know that your hand gave your age away if not properly taken care of? I have seen extremely beautiful girl with super dry, dark hands! I guess I have the reverse one LOL.

So. This hand cream contain Hyaluronic Acid, Super Hyaluronic Acid and Oat ß-Glucose that works by penetrating deep into the layers of the skin to infuse them with moisturization. Hyaluronic Acid is not only important for the face but dry hands too.

Hada Labo Hand Cream2
The tube itself is somehow soft and feeling fluffy to touch. The surface is matte which is great for a hand cream. It doesn’t come with a flip-cap but instead comes with a normal screw-cap. A bit troublesome so usually I’ll close back after dispensing, before spreading the hand cream with both palm.

Hada Labo Hand Cream4
What I like about this hand cream is the rose scent. I’m a huge hugeeeee fan of anything that bears the rosey scent. It is infused with Bulgarian Rose Hydrosol and also 3-kinds of Rose Essential Oil. What? Did I read wrongly? So much of rose ingredient? All that is actually essential to promote emotional balance, soothe and calm the skin as it will also prevent any skin irritation and at the same time relaxing.

The goodies doesn’t just end there. It also contain Vitamin E which is well-known for it’s effectiveness in anti-oxidant. Australian Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil for it’s moisturizing properties and it’s ability to restore smoothness back to the skin.

You don’t need a lot per use. See the dollop below? I use about that amount each use. I also smooth some from my palm to both of my elbow. I wouldn’t want to have smooth hands but dry and flaky elbow 😛

The smell is invigorating, just as I expected it to be, just the way I like it. It doesn’t have that artificial rose scent. Thanks to the Bulgarian Rose in it…it does smell like one expensive rosey hand cream. It does leave a layer of cream on top but not greasy at all. My hands are not super dry to begin with. I have a habit of washing my hands regularly. So applying hand cream after that is already a routine for me. I can still fiddle with my iPhone after applying this hand cream 😀

Hada Labo Hand Cream5
Here is the ingredient list for those that are interested.

Since I have two Hada Labo hand cream, I gave this to mum despite the fact that I personally would prefer to keep the rose one. But I always give mum the best that I can provide so she is now happily using this hand cream at night before sleep. I checked with her from time to time and she said she is loving the hand cream. Also because I think mum need moisturizing more than me since her hands are more drier and wrinkled than mine.

Hada Labo Hand Cream6

Whitening Hand Cream – Lavender (RM19.90 / 50ml)

Besides moisturizing our hands, keeping it youthful and fairer is also a part of the routine. Hada Labo recognized the need in a whitening hand cream so this hand cream is created for those that are in need of it. To be honest I never thought of having a fairer pair of hands before. It just never occur to me because so far all hand cream in the market has always been targeting on moisturizing.

Whitening Hand Cream is also infused with Super Hyaluronic Acid, Arbutin which is a natural double whitening agent as well as Lavender Essential Oil all the way from Europe to restore skin fairness and smoothness as well as maintaining it. This hand cream also have the ability to calm, soften the skin and also relaxes the mind thanks to the Lavender Essential Oil.

Hada Labo Hand Cream7
The tube packaging is the same with above Deep Moisturizing Hand Cream. It comes in a white, matte, soft tube with flip-cap. Be careful with the unscrew and screwing back the cap in place because I have a few incident where my cap just flew off! Hehe 😀

Oh, I just need to mention this. The hand cream doesn’t just ooze out. The suction is quite good. I guess I know why now Hada Labo uses this type of soft tube 🙂

Hada Labo Hand Cream8
Besides the whitening properties and effect, Vitamin E and B5 is also included in the hand cream which is a great help in repairing dry skin.

From my experience, Whitening Hand Cream is more thicker, creamier and slightly more greasier than Deep Moisturizing Hand Cream. This is perfect for the elbow too. I have this tube right next to my bed. Applying this hand cream is usually my last beauty routine before dozing off. After taking care of my hands, I always smooth this hand cream onto both my elbow every night before going to sleep. If you happen to bump onto me, remember to ask me to show you my elbow. I have smooth even-toned elbow which I give credit to this Whitening Hand Cream.

Like I said, this version of hand cream is more creamier. It is more greasier than Deep Moisturizing but having said that, I can still fiddle with my phone after that…playing Jelly Splash with my hands full with hand cream. The hand cream is easily absorbed in so I’m not so worry about the texture.

The scent is quite pleasant. Some product that are infused with Lavender oil smells artificial but this one just doesn’t.

Hada Labo Hand Cream9
I know what’s on your mind. You must be wondering what’s the difference between both hand cream eh? Here is the dollop and swatch comparison.

There is no major difference. Just scent, texture and function that’s all.

Hada Labo Hand Cream10
Which hand cream would be your favorite? I like rose one but loving the lavender version as it gave me a smooth and fair elbow 😀

Hada Labo Hand Cream is available exclusively at Watsons.

You know my beauty routine has always been overwhelming right? I’m already so lazy with body lotion or cream what more hand care. I do like hand cream (a lot) but taking care of my hands properly are pretty much errr neglected? I was told many times before that you can tell a woman’s age by looking at her hands. It’s creepy to think of it so I like looking at mine, just in case my hands betrayed me lol. I never thought I would need a proper hand cream until a few months ago when both my hands started to look dry. It doesn’t help when I have a bad habit of peeling the skin near my fingernail when I’m nervous or impatient. Yeap, that’s my bad habit.

When EVE LOM said I should try their hand care duo, I thought why not! Take a stroll to the nearest EVE LOM counter and you’d find that their product selection is not as confusing as others. Having said that they actually have two product for the hand and cuticle. Hand cream is common yes but cuticle cream? Not so.

EveLom26

EVE LOM Hand Cream + SPF 10 – RM120 / 50ml

This hand cream are said to keep hands looking supple and line-free. It contains shea butter and antioxidants to help prevent the first signs of environmental damage. It also contain natural exfoliators such as salicylic acid and kokum butter to smooth and brighten skin, bisabolol to smoothes and heals and jojoba oil and beeswax to seal in all the essential moisture.

EveLom27
EVE LOM Hand Cream + SPF 10 is packaged in a glossy white screw-cap tube with the signature gold brand name on it. I love this type of simple AND white packaging because it look clean but taking picture of this gave me sweat haha.

The hand cream is denser, richer and creamier that comes in white color as well. Even though so I’m surprised that it doesn’t leave my hand sticky but in fact it gave me a velvety finish. I only need the amount shown below for each use and it lasted for 2 – 3 hand wash.

EveLom28
And here’s the after. Above picture shown that I have drier skin which you can easily spot on my thumb and index finger. Look at those lines. Eww!

It’s good that this hand cream is not oily because I like to be generous. The smell on the other hand will need some time to get used to IF you’re into fragrant product. I can tell you it’s not your usual typical fruity or floral scented hand cream that’s for sure. My nose detected this natural organic-ky scent. Doesn’t really bother me since it’s on my hands not my nose 🙂

Did you notice the SPF? Yes. This hand cream comes with SPF10. Not much I know but at least I can be assured to my hands are protected.

EveLom29
Here’s the ingredient list for your reference.

Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Glyceryl Stearate Se, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Glyceryl Stearate, Ppg-3 Benzyl Ether Myristate, Squalane, Titanium Dioxide, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Garcinia Indica Seed Butter, Hydrogenated Coconut Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Beeswax, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cetyl Esters, Sorbitol, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Sodium Pca, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Sodium Lactate, Bisabolol, Aluminum Stearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract , Alumina, Salicylic Acid, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Cyathea Medullaris Leaf Extract, Castanea Sativa (Chestnut) Seed Extract, Isohexadecane, Sodium Phytate, Polysorbate 80, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan Gum, Leontopodium Alpinum Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Cinnamic Acid, Levulinic Acid, Sorbitan Oleate, Bht, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Levulinate, Alcohol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Extract.

EVE LOM Cuticle Cream – RM85 / 7ml

This cuticle cream by EVE LOM is packed with intensive plant-based moisturisers and protective waxes, this little pot of cream keep cuticles in peak conditions and encourage healthy nail growth. It contain sweet almond oil and chamomile to soothe and heal, yarrow oil to softens and smoothes and beeswax to inject moisture, seals and protects.

EveLom30_1
This unique EVE LOM Cuticle Cream comes in a 7ml pot which is the same pot used for Kiss Mix. With 2 same pot on my vanity table I really need to be careful and read before using. Wouldn’t want to mixed up both! LOL.

Unlike the hand cream, this on the other hand doesn’t have the signature gold brand name on. The pot is a screw-cap version which is not quite practical in my opinion. I have difficulties putting back the cap after applying the cream on my fingers because everything is just too sticky and messy.

The cuticle cream on the other hand is in a mint green color. Love the color. Don’t worry, this don’t turn your nails green *giggle*

EveLom31
Cuticle Cream is meant for your nails and strip of hardened skin at the side of fingernails. As I said before I have a bad habit of peeling the skin near my fingernails so my main focus is to heal the sides of my nails. What I do is I’ll dab some cream on the sides of all 10 fingers, spread and massage / rub in using both hands simultaneously. By massaging in, the cream are spreaded across my nails too so I need not to apply on the nails.

This cuticle cream is quite sticky upon application. Be sure to only apply this when you’ve done everything that you needed to do. I only apply this before bed so that I don’t get the cream everywhere. But of course you can apply this anytime of the day. It’s totally up to you. Give it say maybe about 15 minutes and the cream turns matte! That is what I really like about this cuticle cream.

The scent is unique which I find hard to describe. It’s not smelly nor does it smell fragrant. One thing for sure is that it doesn’t bother me.

EveLom32
To be frank I’ve been told about this cuticle cream before I discover EVE LOM. A friend told me about her friend who is fanatic about nails uses this cuticle cream to take care of her nails. I guess it’s not overrated or a boost because I personally had seen results after using this cuticle cream in less than a week. I’m so embarrass to show you ugly fingers *gulp*. Here’s my ugly, red, peeling thumb.

The After picture was taken 1 week after using EVE LOM Cuticle Cream. Actually I’ve seen improvement just after 3 days and I continued to use it till to date as I can’t stop peeling lol! Can you spot the different on my thumb? If not click to enlarge!

EveLom33
And here’s the ingredient list.
