Oh I love these! I was so happy when Mr Postman handed me the Sunplay PR parcel containing the brand new Sunplay Sport UV Body Mist and Lotion Sunscreen. Sports plays a big part in my lifestyle besides my love for everything beauty. Being someone active and constantly out under the hot sun, sun protection has become even more important than before. I must admit, I am so bad in applying sunscreen. I tell everyone to slap on sunscreen but I myself rarely do it. I am always eager to jump out of the car and run!

Choosing the right sunscreen for sports is tricky in terms of the SPF, texture and finishing. Sunplay’s new Sport UV range is formulated with Wet Skin Technology. This technology prevents the sunscreen from “bleeding” and turn white under wet condition. Both the Sport UV Body Mist and Sport UV Lotion has this quick dry formula. It is also what I like. As I am someone always jumping out from the car eagerly and start moving, I certainly do appreciate my sunscreen to have instant absorption.

Sunplay Sport UV Body Mist SPF120 PA++++ (RM58.90 / 165ml)

My favourite has got to be this Sport UV Body Mist. For an obvious reason – convenience! All I have to do is to mist all over myself like crazy and start running.

Because body mist is lightweight, I hardly feel anything on the skin, which is good as I would not want heavy layer on my skin when I am out for sports. Pros and con. The con is also because I cannot feel anything that I just keep misting and misting lol. I have tried this body mist midway running, under sweaty condition. No problem at all. The mist is kinda powdery from the look of it but it never leaves a white cast on the skin. One thing good about a body mist is that it will not drip down along with the sweat. My one advice is to mist this in open air. The mist from the can is no joke. If you mist like I do, you will create a smokey environment, as if you are having a bonfire or something . I shocked mom at one point as my whole car porch was all smokey!

Sunplay Sport UV Lotion SPF120 PA++++ (RM43.50 / 35g)

If you prefer the lotion version, Sunplay got you covered as well. In the new Sport range, there is a Sport UV Lotion version for the face and body. Personally, I prefer the Lotion version for the face. Not for the body though. I am not into spending half an hour applying sunscreen all over the body. That explains why I am slacking with sun protection whenever I am out running.

Comparing to the Sport UV Body Mist, this Sport UV Lotion has more scent to it. It is the usual scent in all Sunplay products. If you have been using Sunplay, you will know what scent I am talking about. Pretty pleasant on the nose I say.

The Lotion version is extremely watery. I did not expect it to be this watery. Kinda shocked me when I took it to the park with me that day. It is white in color but does not leave a white cast on the skin when it is fully absorbed. Just like the Body Mist version, this Lotion is also formulated with a quick dry formula with instant absorption on wet and dry skin condition. The texture is definitely more oily at first but quickly turned to dry velvety. Now, that is the right sunscreen consistency that I like! Perfect for a sweaty day out. As I sweat away, I did not see any white dripping. Just my sweat

Judging from the title you might already know what I’m about to talk about today. The keyword – high SPF sunblock, matte and mist bottle already excite me

This, my friend is a brand new product imported directly from Japan. Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is the first of its kind daily sunblock that comes in a mist bottle. The very main reason why most people would rather go on the day without any sunblock on is the stickiness. This daily sunblock doesn’t leave any white cast on the skin, however it is dispensed out in white especially if you spray-on too near on the same area like how I did below. But don’t freak out because the sunblock will be clear again once you spread it out and also this will not happen if you spray all over and directly to any part of the body. I usually spray like the below photo onto my palm whenever I need to use it on the face.

The best part about this Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is it’s multi-function use. It can be applied to any part of the body for example the face, body, hair and scalp. Removing is easy as it is designed to be easily washed off with any regular skin cleanser and shampoo.

You know how rebellious I am and how ignorant I am on reading instruction right? I was so excited to try this the minute I got it so I start shaking the can vigorously, hold the can a few inch away and start spraying on my face. I could feel the cooling sensation but I couldn’t feel the sunblock so I re-spray again and again until I gave up. I felt so silly because I didn’t read the description and instruction at the back of the packaging before that. Once I sit down and read, I was stoned. I’m not suppose to spray directly onto the face lololol. And then I found out that this sunblock is actually matte. That explains why I couldn’t feel the sunblock on my face. That was a facepalm moment . So yes. You heard me right. This sunblock goes on matte. To apply onto the face, spray the sunblock onto the palm and then only apply onto the face. I actually use quite a lot because it is just so matte. I wasn’t sure if I covered the whole face. Thanks to it’s Silky Powder technology, my no makeup face stays matte under the hot sun for the whole day. Literally just smooth and dry face until evening when I wash my face. Not bad for a SPF50 PA+++ I say!

I am not someone who do most activities outdoor like cycling, swimming, jogging, running and so on. But, I do have my fair share of staying under the sun most of the time – I roam around Klang Valley from meeting to meeting :D. During my younger days when I was very active with car races. I used to go Sepang International Circuit (SIC) most of the time. If you are a regular you will know SIC is extremely hot. Temperature at the circuit is much more hotter than KL. Other than that I used to drive up to Penang on every weekend for fun. I got tanned from the driving and I love it! So yeah, I was quite tan a few years ago and let’s just say I’m thankful that I don’t suffer any skin disease because I did not apply any drop of sunblock at all! Oppss

There’s this incident that happened to me just a few days ago. I can’t remember which day it is but I had forgotten to apply sunblock to the face. I was roaming around town for meetings as usual and when I reached home, my face was literally darker. No it wasn’t the foundation that oxidize on me as my face still looked darker after I double cleanse the makeup off. I was wondering what happen. Then only I remember I had forgotten my sunblock. Wow. The sun is really strong nowadays eh? What about the body? I strongly recommend these. Sunplay Watery Cool Body Mist Sunblock SPF 75 PA+++ and Sunplay After Sun Gel.

I remember my very first sunblock that I bought back in 2009. It was smelly and sticky as hell. I have to bear with all that because I have no choice. I was trying to protect my skin from skin cancer. Sunplay Watery Cool Body Mist Sunblock SPF 75 PA+++  is different from any other sunblock in the market. It has this icy cool feature that cools down and refreshes the skin instantly.

Sunplay is well-known for it’s Solarex-3 technology which is a unique 3-in-1 UV Defence System. What this system do is to provide superior photo stable protection, higher moisture retention and anti-aging properties which will help in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well. Sunplay Watery Cool Body Mist Sunblock SPF 75 PA+++ is the latest addition to the family that uses the same Solarex-3 technology.

This sunblock is a spray-on type. It is easy and convenient to use. Usually I would spray this on before getting into the car. In order for the sunblock to set faster so that it is not getting all over my car side panel, I would use my palm to even out the sunblock. It is recommended to hold the bottle 6 to 8 inches away before spraying. That way you will not feel the tackiness and the sunblock is evenly distributed all over the body. Remember to shake the bottle before each use.

This is how the sunblock looks like before it set and dry. Like I said earlier…other sunblock in the market is very smelly and sticky but Sunplay Watery Cool Body Mist Sunblock SPF 75 PA+++ is nothing near that. It has this faint flowery scent to it. I like the scent very much :D. The formula is very light. It doesn’t leave a heavy residue on the surface of the skin. Once the sunblock dries down, I hardly can feel anything. No tackiness, no stickiness, no funny scent :D. I strongly recommend you to reapply the sunblock after swimming or when you are going to be under the sun for long.

Although this sunblock is for the body, you can also apply this on the face. But not spraying on the face directly. Just spray onto the palm and apply on the face using your palm. As easy as that

The gel itself give almost instant cooling sensation to cool down the temperature of the body.
