As promised, here is the second update on the new collection by China Glaze Malaysia

Neon color may be one of the trendsetter but nail polish addict all over the world are still puzzle with having any form of texture on the surface of the nail polish. Hence the birth of ‘Texture’ by China Glaze. Texture range is the next ‘in’ thing in the nail polish industry. It provides a sand-like feel to nails, not pearl, not fur, not shimmer and not fuzzy. According to China Glaze, the brand see the need to set new nail art trends for female fashionista as fashion nowadays are being more and more innovative. This can only be done by constantly creating new colors and also creating different texture to the usual glossy nail surface that we are accustomed to at the moment. I have seen a few type of textured nail polish such as pearls, fur and so on but to me these are kinda not safe especially when handling food. I cannot imagine accidentally eaten the fur from my nail polish when it comes to finger food lol!! Textured nail polish is the safe way to go

+ Toe Tally Textured – This is one beautiful orange shade that will definitely get all the attention.
+ Itty, Bitty & Gritty – The shade is a deep coral but with a touch of pink in it. So it appear more pink than coral.
+ Unrefined – This is my favorite shade of all four. A bubblegum pink that is not too pastel. There is no need to worry about the color making your skin tone darker.
+ In The Rouge – It’s a greenish yellow color but with more yellow in it. The shade will make any skin color fairer.

The trick in creating even and beautiful texture is to apply a few coats. Always start with base coat for protection but there is no need to apply top coat thereafter as it will make the surface glossier and evens out the texture. You wouldn’t want that to happen don’t you

China Glaze Malaysia have just brought in some new exciting range and shades in recently and I have the opportunity to see the collection from up close and personal.

First up, a range that caught my attention is these Neon Color Range.

China Glaze Neon Color range is uniquely created that it dries faster than any of the other color from other collection. The polish is said to goes on the nails well for almost a week without chipping off so easily. If you are like me…leaving nail polish on for 2 weeks or more, it is always recommended to apply base coat for protection and top coat for extra protection, longevity and shine.

According to China Glaze, they are raising the bar against their counterparts by launching neon color nail polish. It does make sense to take this first step in creating a trendsetter because fashion is all about innovation and evolving to set new trends to follow, that include fashionable nail polishes as well. I’m not sure if you notice but you can find nail polish in fashion store too. These striking neon colors does a good job in brightening up nails regardless any skin tone shade.

This Neon Color collection is not huge, with just six shade to choose from…you can rest assured that the color selection is quite complete.

+ Neon & On – A beautiful coral pink that resemble your office stationary’s pink highlighter.
+ Bottoms Up – A pink that melts any girly heart. Absolutely gorgeous. Kinda reminds me of Barbie.
+ That’s Shore Bright – A pastel purple with the right amount of purple. Not too dark but would suit fairer skin tone.
+ Too Yacht Too Handle – A mint green. Almost similar to it’s sister shade, Highlight of My Summer. The green in this is more.
+ Highlight of My Summer – Very similar to Too Yacht Too Handle but this is more neon-ly and lighter in shade.
+ Yellow Polka Dot Bikini – This shade would be the most neon of all six. It is exactly like a yellowish green highlighter. So bright!

These nail polishes dries down matte. It’s really gorgeous that way. If you are not into matte, just apply Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat on

Many months ago I was gifted with this beautiful creamy pink nail polish from China Glaze. It has been sitting in my drawer until recently I changed the shape of my nails and immediately took this out to use. I’ve been saving it for the nails as I knew it will be beautiful, and I was right

Hopeful is the shade that I received. It is a part of a 12 polishes in the United For A Purpose Collection which is also a China Glaze’s 2012 Breast Cancer Awareness release. These 12 polishes namely Faith, Angels Breath, Hopeful, Pearls of Wisdom, Dare to be Bare, Heart of the Matter, Hello Gorgeous, United, Beauty Within, Live Love Laugh, Exquisite and Always a Lady. Most of them are pale shades of pink but there is also a few glittery ones and bold fuchsia.

Is it so easy to guess what is my liking cause May from China Glaze Malaysia knew which shade that I will like

Hopeful appears more of a milky color with a hint of pink tint. Did you notice that I said a hint of pink tint? This means the milky color dominated the color payoff. You will still get the pink but just slightly.

I applied Seche Clear™ Crystal Clear Base Coat first to protect my nails from turning yellow and also to protect my nails from the nail polish. Then I apply a layer of Hopeful but the texture is uneven and it’s not opaque enough to cover all my nails. So I waited for it to dry and apply a 2nd layer of Hopeful. I managed to cover the unevenness just a bit but it wasn’t as smooth as I thought. To overcome this I apply a layer of Seche Vite™ Dry Fast Top Coat and voilà! Every unevenness, streaks, lumps are all smoothen out. Let’s not forget that my nails are shiny too

I have seen other reviews on this and theirs appear more pinkish on their nails compared with mine. As you can see, mine appears more milky. I got to say…I kinda like it. I have always wanted to apply milky color on my nails. But milky shade doesn’t look nice on short nails. I can’t keep long nails as my nails is quite thin and brittle. I can now apply this after changing my nail shape

China Glaze Matte Magic Flat Finish Top Coat

Not for summer collection but Matte Magic is a limited edition piece. It is a translucent off-white polish. What this polish does is that it changes the glossy finishing to satin matte finishing of any surface of manicure or even pedicure. It turns matte in a short few second but takes about 5 minutes for the surface to dry completely.

And lastly a group picture of everyone that attended this exclusive showcase event. It was lots of fun and laughter. A bunch of girls getting together while getting the nails done? You get the idea.
