When I saw Crabtree & Evelyn GWP for the purchase of RM250 a few weeks ago is the angpow pouch set, I wanted that! The only problem is I don’t have anything to buy from Crabtree & Evelyn. I do have the thought of impulse purchase something from the store just to get this set. Then I remember Jenny; the eBay seller that I deal with from time to time. So I begin stalking her selling page a few times a day. Hey I’m not a stalker but just don’t want to let this set grab by other people

On Tuesday morning I reached office late due to a massive jam. I only have half an hour to enjoy my coffee before rushing off for a back-to-back meeting outside. While sipping my coffee I decided to take a look at Jenny’s eBay selling page. To my delight she listed the Crabtree & Evelyn Red Packet Holder + Red Packet Set! That’s not all. Here’s what was in my parcel.

Ahhh the Crabtree & Evelyn Red Packet Holder + Red Packet Set (RM20). It comes with a holder and it’s HUGE. I didn’t expect the holder to be as huge as a clutch size. It’s made from suede material on the outside while satin lining on the inside. Absolutely love the “chinese” feel of the pouch. The flower embroidery on one side of the pouch is exquisite. I love the chinese frog button on both sides. Here is what I learnt from google on chinese frog button. Hmmm interesting.

Chinese frog buttons, also know as Huaniu, are the necessity to mostly all cheongsam. The knotted head is regarded as male and the pair with an eye, female. Huaniu represent the soul of the cheongsam and provide a distinctive Chinese character. They are the product of thousands of years of traditional knotting craft and the designs and compositions vary from the plain to intricate.Traditional designs include floral, animal and insect motifs, and auspicious symbols, such as pomegranates and the Chinese character ‘shou’ , signifying fertility and longevity. Most Huaniu on cheongsam are designed to match the pattern of the fabric and the color of the braided trim on the collar cuff and hem.

In the set there’s also 10 pieces of red packet included. It’s very pretty and thick too. I love red packet. I’m a collector so every year I’d go crazy with it. But my collection is too huge and too much so this year I cut down quite a lot. I only choose those that I like to keep

Another item that I’m happy to spot is Ronasutra 2-in-1 Mineral Foundation & Powder (RM28). I’ve just get the hang of using this powder. It’s alright and affordable too. This one would be my backup. Oh and keep an eye on the blog cause my review on this powder would be up on Tuesday

Since I’m doing my makeup in the office nowadays I tried not to bring too many makeup with me to work. I prefer trial size mascara instead of full size so that I don’t have to take it out from the pouch I brought to work. Dior Diorsnow New Look Mascara (RM20) is said to delivers infinite volume and an unparalleled lash-multiplying effect with the new exclusive nano-brush. I haven’t have good experience with Dior mascara so hope this is better than the previous.

Yay!! I was given 2 pieces of Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Brightening Mask. Jenny is so generous. Thank you Jenny *hugs*

That’s not all. I was also given a Mid Valley MegaMall 2013 Ang Pows 13 pieces c/w Ang Pow Holder. So preeettyyy. My picture doesn’t justify the prettiness of the holder. There’s flowery print on the pouch actually. Just that the sunlight sort of glare my camera from capturing the print :(. Love it.

I knew you girls would be asking how to find Jenny in eBay. Here is her seller ID again – jjj*2008. It’s hyperlinked so either you click on the hyperlink as given or search in eBay. Meanwhile I’m going to save some moos (money) as I wanted to buy the SK-II Skin Signature Eye Cream set. The eye cream is retailing at RM339 at SK-II counter and Jenny is only selling it for RM228 with LOADS of SK-II freebies. And those Dior Capture Totale full size skin care is tempting!

I’ve been dying to get a room spray despite having fragrance diffuser and scented candles in my room. I like to walk in to a room which smells good. The air, the pillow, the blanket. Isn’t it wonderful :). When Jenny listed a miniature set of room spray by Crabtree & Evelyn for an irresistible price…I purchased it right away.

Crabtree & Evelyn Mini Home Fragrance Sprays is a set with four 30ml fragrance spray. A miniature set is always wonderful and useful for someone who wanted to get a room spray but couldn’t decide on the scent. Someone indecisive like me hehe! But I look at it another way. I like to have different scent in my room everyday. So this is perfect!

Don’t cha love the floral box.

I thought there’s scent description for each bottle at the back of the box but turns out it’s not. It’s just the usual description and caution in 2 languages.

The opening of the box is with velcro disc. It’s easy to open and close so I’m quite hardworking in taking different bottle everyday to spray my room before I sleep.

Each 30ml bottle is housed in an inner shell securely. All I need to do is to slide the whole shell out and pick the scent I want.

The scents that was included in the set are:

The scent description that I extracted from Crabtree & Evelyn Malaysia website is a bit tricky. If you can see Rosewater and Lavender description are similar. They just changed the word Rosewater to Lavender.

My favorite scent got to be Lavender. I never fancy Lavender because most toilet spray are lavender scented LOL! This particular room spray turns out to be the opposite of what I assumed. It’s does smells like pure lavender which is really calming.

The scent that I hated the most is Lily. I particularly like everything in the Lily range. I was surprised that the room spray is not as pleasant as I want it to be! It has this strong pungent scent that I find it yucky haha. Smells like something sour.

The second scent that I think is quite pleasant is of course Rosewater. No lengthy description needed. It smells like rose garden. I love rose scented stuff.

Iris are not bad either. Although the bath and body range is a tad bit strong but the room spray are just nice.

However I don’t recommend this for larger area like living room or if you have a huge bedroom this will not be enough. A fragrance diffuser would be recommended. Room spray are just temporary only.

Like I said before a miniature set like this help indecisive people like me to decide on which is the best scent for the room and liking. After rotating each room spray daily I finally pin-point down the scent that I will repurchase. But I wouldn’t mind repurchasing another miniature set :). Who doesn’t love mini!

Merry Christmas Street Lovers!

Although I am not celebrating Christmas due to various reasons this year but I do like to indulge in Christmas snacks. I never thought of featuring these lovelies from Crabtree & Evelyn but after seeing so many blog post on it I thought why not share with you how I like to munch on it.

Did you know the Christmas festive food sold at Crabtree & Evelyn stores are highly raved and famous? Almost everyone I know told me how good it is. I couldn’t really comment much as I only gotten a set of Triple Treat (2 cans of 200gram All Butter Biscuits) and recently redeemed a jar of Cranberry and Orange Sauce. The sauce is not a jam. It’s a sauce for meat. That’s what the peeps over at Crabtree & Evelyn told me.

Although Cranberry and Orange Sauce is not meant for biscuits, I like to be a rebel and eat it my way. The biscuits is flavored biscuits but it can be a bit boring and blank unless you had it with coffee. So what I do is that I like to put a lil bit of the cranberries on the biscuits. I’m pretty amazed with the Cranberry and Orange Sauce because it’s full with cranberries! Everytime I tried to scoop some of the sauce out I get loads of cranberries. It’s a bliss.

But it’s darn sour all thanks to the orange. Gosh. Couldn’t they use sweeter orange? LOL! It’s sweet enough but the sweetness are covered by the orange sour. I get full pretty fast because I couldn’t take sour stuff too much unless I had it with coffee (again)?

Oh and I tried the sauce yesterday morning on a freshly toast bread. It’s even more delicious!

I’d say it’s a good combo for snacking although the sauce is not meant for the biscuit :). I’m gonna finish the whole of this last can with the sauce.

It has been quite some time since I last purchase anything from my favorite eBay Malaysia seller jjj*2008. Yes that is the eBay seller ID so please read properly before bombarding my email asking for seller ID. It’s all written in the post and you should read. That’s what blog are for. To read!

Anyway, this week I spotted 2 things I want from her store and I placed my order in the morning, paid in the morning, parcel sent out in the morning as well and I received the parcel the next day! The most satisfied and efficient purchase ever.

Jenny (the seller) is known for her most secure wrapping, nice box packaging and extra gift generosity. My purchases this time arrived in a L’Occitane gift box.

Let’s see what I get in the box shall we?

First up is a travel size Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder & Mini Fan Brush Set which I got for a steal at RM35. What a perfect time to test out the highly raved powder. I’ve always wanted a fan brush but didn’t exactly have a real purpose for it except for sweeping excess loose powder off the face which I rarely do. Kinda excited to get a mini one from Laura Mercier.

Previously I wanted to go for Crabtree & Evelyn member preview sales to get the Crabtree & Evelyn Mini Floral Room Sprays which means I need to spend certain amount and be the first 20 in the store which is kinda hard since there’s so many people everyday. Thank goodness I spot this set at eBay. I rather buy this set alone than to spend a lot just to get this GWP. I bought this for RM59 which is kinda okay since it’s worth RM118.

Knowing Jenny, she always include some extras in the parcel and she did. Quite generous of her too although I spend just very little this time. She gave me a Avene Cleanance Exfoliating and Absorbing Cleansing Mask (Full Size), Avene Cleanance K Cream-Gel 5ml and Pure Beauty Youth Restore Essence with Black Pearl 3ml.

Always a pleasure buying from jjj*2008. I spotted a few more but on tight budget so need to hold on. Do visit her store if you don’t mind buying cheaper, branded and with extra goodies. I love her speedy response with emails, parcel delivery speed, her extra careful handling with parcel packaging and generosity.
