For the past few days my Instagram feed has been flooded with photos of ELLE Malaysia August 2016 magazine GWP in collaboration with Benefit Cosmetics. It has been months since I saw any good magazine GWP especially with the current economy. Everyone is holding their money and sponsorship tightly. So this ELLE Malaysia August 2016 X Benefit Cosmetics Brow Products is really refreshing!

Each magazine comes with just one Benefit Cosmetics new brow products deluxe size. There are five to choose from, or rather to hunt for.

1. Ready, Set, Brow! Clear Brow Gel
2. Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel
3. Ka Brow! Eyebrow Cream-Gel Color
4. Browvo! Conditioning Eyebrow Primer
5. Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil

So far I only managed to buy 3 out of 5. I’m not interested with Browvo! Conditioning Eyebrow Primer so I’ll skip that. But I am hunting for Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil. I notice that the stock for Ka Brow! is more than the rest. I wouldn’t mind more Gimme Brow

Magazine is selling for RM8.90 a copy. It also comes with a brow waxing service card. Only available at Kinokuniya KLCC, Times and MPH bookstores. Hurry! It’s running low as everyone is hoarding a few copies each

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you would know that I went for an impromptu 3D2N trip to Singapore over the weekend with an ex-colleague. It was not planned at all. She asked me if I want to go, I said yes, I booked the flight, booked a place to stay and off we go. I’m a perfectionist so if I sit down and plan my trip, most probably I won’t end up going so impromptu works best for me. Told y’all I’m very random

Since it wasn’t anywhere far and it was impromptu, it’s a trip just to go there and do nothing. But in my mind there is only a few things or places I want to check out in Singapore – to check out Watsons and Guardian, Kinokuniya, Sephora, Lush and Ladurée is time permits. In the end I forget about Sephora, Lush and Ladurée. I ended up only checking out Sephora ION, Watsons and Guardian. Towards the end of day 2, I walked pass a huge magazine stall at the corner of Holland Village while on the way home via MRT and my friend stopped me to check out Her World Singapore July 2015 X Agnes B 55th Birthday Exclusive magazine (S$7). I didn’t even spot the freebies at the back and my friend spot it! We both ended up with a copy and this is what I got.

Her World Singapore July 2015 X Agnes B 55th Birthday Exclusive magazine issue comes with a designer pouch. In total there are three designs to choose from. My eyes are on the star pouch since the beginning as I love anything star but I was also attracted to the big polka rounds. Turns out that copy was almost sold out and the magazine stall owner managed to find a copy for us. I let my friend get that instead because I still insist on wanting the star pouch, although I have an urge to get both copies

I found out that the pouches doesn’t comes in the same material. The big star pouch are made from thick canvas on the outside with canvas lining on the inside, while the big polka rounds are made from glossy plastic material. My friend actually like mine more and I’m glad I got this instead too. This star design was also low on stock. I couldn’t find this or the polka rounds copies at the airport or anywhere else.

What I like about this pouch is the fact that it is huge and thick so it can be used as a clutch bag and there are NO Her World tag or name printed on the outside of the pouch. It is only on the inside of the pouch, which is fine for me as long as it’s not on the outside.

Since it is the 55th birthday exclusive edition, the magazine itself is thick, heavy and there are also a bunch of samples in the magazine as well. I like that the magazine also comes with a sample kit of Lactacyd. There’s one for everything. Not looking forward to the sachets but I’m intrigued with the wipes. There is also a sachet tube of Sunsilk Co-Creations Smooth & Manageable Instant Smoothening Cream. It’s the same sample we used to get here in Malaysia from our local magazine.

So for a S$7, I say the magazine is worth to get. That is if you are earning Singapore Dollar and spend in the same currency lol. The exchange rate when I was there was S$1=RM2.80. That means this magazine cost me RM19.60. Not too bad. Some told me it’s not worth it. For me it is still alright since I have the habit of buying / collecting magazine supplements.

Last month, I’ve shared with you on Facebook that Malaysia Tatler October 2014 + Weddings 2014 issue are giving away L’Occitane Divine Skincare Gift Set worth RM250 and that I didn’t get any as I wasn’t feeling excited about paying RM30 for one heck of a heavy magazine that comes with a deluxe size L’Occitane set. Lucky for me because last Wednesday I went to KLCC for SK-II event and I found out that Baccarat November 2014 is also giving away the same L’Occitane Divine Skincare Gift Set worth RM250. And it only cost RM15. Now, that’s more like it.

I didn’t plan on blogging about this but there isn’t much action going on with magazine GWP for the past few months so I thought I could spice up my magazine GWP entry for the blog a bit otherwise there will be spider web forming lol.

I’m not sure if I’m into the box more or L’Occitane content more. I sure am more excited looking at the cute box though haha. Oh and each box is wrapped with a plastic bag.

Let’s see what is the content for the L’Occitane Divine Skincare Gift Set that is worth RM250. It contain three deluxe size product from Divine collection namely Divine Cream 8ml worth RM75.05, Divine Youth Oil 4ml worth RM62.55 and Divine Extract 4ml worth RM61.05. Total value for the product is only RM198.65. I guess the balance RM51.35 is for the box.

As for me, I wouldn’t even think of getting it if it’s RM30. I’m glad I didn’t. I only bought it because coincidentally I was at Kinokuniya and it’s RM15 per magazine. If you’re a L’Occitane fan, you may want to get this. If not and KLCC is too far for you, you have to judge yourself if it’s worth it and if you really have good use of it. You don’t need to buy if you have drawers and drawers full of over stashed skin care. Save the RM15 for other magazine GWP. There bound to be more good stuff coming up.

I was surprised that there are still GWP left even on the 5th. Usually GWP like this would be sold out in no time. I normally enter from the English magazine section so that I could see the poster from the front. This time round I enter from the craft book section so I’m not sure if there is any poster facing the front of the entrance. If the poster is there, I’m surprised it’s not sold out haha!

CLEO has done it again. After being quiet for two months since it’s last box set in June 2014, CLEO Malaysia released yet another edition of box set for the month of September. It is the CLEO September 2014 X Dipped Row Jewellery Box Set.

The collaboration this time round is rather unique. Instead of the usual skin care or makeup products, CLEO collaborated with Dipped Row. If you still have no idea who or what is Dipped Row, then you’ve been missing out quite a bit. I get to know Dipped Row when they was launched a few months ago. A few friends of mine was invited for the launch and they painted the stones on the jewellery. This is the reason why I had a vivid memory of Dipped Row. Who would paint the jewellery rhinestone anyway right? No one. Dipped Row did it!

Now, CLEO said that this box set is Limited Edition Dipped Row for CLEO but I claim to differ and I’ll tell you why. I have nothing again both CLEO or Dipped Row by any mean. I love them both. I’m just particular of the term used lol. Can’t blame me. I’m from magazine and digital publishing background . I agreed on this awesome deal being exclusive to CLEO but not the part where it said it’s Dipped Row for CLEO. Reason being, these pieces is currently selling at Dipped Row. If it’s “for CLEO” then it has to be something that you can’t get from their online store. No biggie actually. Just my crazy thoughts

I’m a seasonal jewellery addict. Sometimes I’m into big chunky rings, sometimes charm bracelet, sometimes huge earrings and sometimes necklace. For RM10 inclusive of a copy of CLEO September 2014 issue worth RM6 and one jewellery piece worth RM32 (earrings) or RM25 (bracelet), I say this is a very good deal. That is unless you are not into jewellery

There is three different jewellery to choose from – Florette Studs, Lennox Link Bracelet and another earrings which I couldn’t find from the website. I go for Florette Studs in Pink although I was drawn to green one as well. The quality of the earrings is actually quite good. It’s heavy and definitely an unique piece to have.
