Last month a few of my readers and I attended an exclusive hands-on workshop with Mariesa Ferraro, EVE LOM’s International Skincare Expert and Trainer. Although I’m using EVE LOM products at the moment I still choose to go for this session for 2 reasons – (1) I want to meet Mariesa Ferraro. It’s not often that she’s here. (2) Since I’m meeting Mariesa I want to pick up a tips or two (and more) on EVE LOM products as well as techniques behind the brand. I might have missed some who know

I keep repeating this like old granny but I still want to say it again…EVE LOM products is so simple. No confusion here. I still remember when I first indulge in Clarins I am so confuse. The product selection is so huge. One will need to remember what is what and for what. With EVE LOM there’s no need to at all. It’s pretty straight forward.

She is the main reason why I went for the sharing session – Mariesa Ferraro, International Skincare Expert and Trainer. I have never met her before as this is my first EVE LOM workshop. Mariesa is quite camera shy. When all of us whipped out our camera you can see that she shy away a little bit

EVE LOM Cleanser

I believe I have not review the iconic Cleanser yet. My bad. The jar that I bought in Feb 2013 finished last month end. I have yet to repurchase another one so there won’t be any review…yet lol.

I am someone very much into the whole application routine. Using EVE LOM Cleanser requires a few minutes of your bath time but for lazy bum it’s too much probably due to the whole process – prepare warm water in a basin, massaging Cleanser, use Muslin cloth that are rinsed with warm water to dab to remove cleanser, repeat Muslin cloth process with cold water and lastly wash the Muslin cloth. Too much? Surprisingly I’m very into it! I’m crazy like that.

This is a 4-in-1 beneficial product namely as a makeup remover, a cleanser, a scrub and a toner. Can you imagine how simplify my skin care routine is whenever I’m using this cleanser? That is what EVE LOM present – Simple.

Mariesa also teaches us the Seven-Step Massage. Bear in mind you do not need to do this massage daily if you don’t want to. However it is good to do it once or twice a week or more depending on your preference. It is much easier for me to remember the steps with the diagram below as a beginner and remembering these steps will not be a problem when it is done often

EVE LOM Rescue Mask

My favorite deep cleansing mask with additional benefit – as a face scrub. I have talk about this product here so you can check out the lecturing review lol!

This mask harden within 10 – 15 minutes on the face depending on how thick you apply so even if you want to talk you just couldn’t open your mouth. I like the idea because it prevent the user from talking during masking. Some clay mask hardens but not till the extend where you can’t talk completely. After it harden I choose to scrub off the mask using my fingers in circular motion. That way I can scrub off any dead skin cells and even blackheads on the face.

EVE LOM Intense Hydration Serum / Intense Firming Serum

No other hydration serum in the market that is similar to EVE LOM’s. The serum is clear in color, smells wonderful and so light in texture that your skin just drink on it. I would recommend to apply this serum as soon as you removed Rescue Mask, while the skin is still damp and the pores are still open.

Firming Serum on the other hand is more gluey and thicker than Hydration Serum but still not till the extend of oily or sticky. What you can do is to apply Hydration Serum in the morning and Firming Serum at night. Or if you prefer you can use both at the same time. I used to do that :). A little goes a long way. You do not need the whole full pump. Just 2 drops will do.

EVE LOM Eye Lift

Mariesa recommended using Eye Lift for that instant eye contour lift as well as hydration to the eye area. When Mariesa mentioned about using one full pump for both eyes, I couldn’t agree more. I too find that it is really sufficient and one pump each eye would be too much.

The one I reviewed previous is in its old packing whereas it comes with a scoop type of applicator which you can use to apply onto the area area, just like what I did. The new packaging now comes with a pump!

Full review – Eye Lift and Eye Cream

It was a fun and informative day thanks to EVE LOM. Fun fun fun. When a few close friends gathered for a beauty workshop, it always mean lots of laughter and happiness.

EVE LOM changed my skin completely. No hocus pocus, all pure effective experience that is obviously shown here. I had the bestest beautiful skin when I’m on full EVE LOM skin care routine. I’m guessing my skin love the ingredient used. One particular ingredient that I absolutely adore is glycerin. I notice that most of EVE LOM products are infused with glycerin, which is great because it is really good for the skin. My face is smoother than it looks now. If only EVE LOM have whitening product to lighten those ugly, stubborn acne marks then my face would be smooth AND clear

What is TLC? TLC as we know means Tender Loving Care. That’s exactly what EVE LOM wants too. To give you the best tender, loving and care. There aren’t many products in EVE LOM but they have a very small range for matured skin which is what TLC is for.

In the TLC series there is only 2 product. I did say it’s a very small range right? Both of the product is also cream. The only difference is one is in tube which is more lightweighted while one is in a jar which is more creamier. The one that I’m going to talk about is more suitable for me which is TLC Radiance Cream.

TLC Radiance Cream is no doubt a cream but it is lightweight than other usual cream. It is infused with age-defying and protective benefits that will help to transform dull and maturing skin on the day time. The skin will feel soft, hydrated, radiant and youthful. It’s ingredient include Arctic Rasberry Seed Oil as a powerful antioxidant, Rosehip Seed Oil which is a natural source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C that protects the skin from free radicals while restoring skin elasticity. There is also Oat Kernel Extract and Sepilift that provide immediate skin lifting and helps to smooth fine lines.

To not confuse their loyal users, the outer packaging box used for TLC range is in pink rather than the usual white box.

In short TLC Radiance Cream is a moisturiser that are targeted for hydration and radiance. It is also an anti-aging cream that helps to lift and boost the skin making the skin more youthful and of smoother. The cream is a day cream so you need not to apply at night.

For the hefty price tag it is a major disappointment that the packing is just a normal squeeze tube that is no different from their Rescue Mask and Hand Cream. However after using the cream for quite some time, I can understand why EVE LOM package it that way. The cream is not as solid as conventional cream so I suppose EVE LOM thinks that this type of tube suits the cream? But still not so keen with the overall packaging.

The cream is also infused with precious oil of Bulgarian Rose Otto. There is a distintive rose scent which I absolutely love. I’m a sucker for anything that are infused with rose oil. It dispense out in cream color and spread as lightweighted as claimed. I thought the cream will ooze out when I unscrew the cap since I place it standing but it doesn’t despite it’s unusual runny texture. The cream will only comes out when I lightly squeeze the tube.

The dollop amount on the back of my hand is not the amount you need per application. In fact you only need a small pea size, warm the product with both your palm and apply using your preferred method. I like to spread evenly on overall of my face before pressing both palm gently from inner to outer of my face.

I am not sure about this one. Reason is I am using TLC Radiance Cream as the last step of my skin care routine on day time after Intense Firming Serum. Intense Firming Serum is one anti-aging serum that is extremely hydrating as well thus I don’t see any difference using TLC Radiance Cream. When the skin is healthier and hydrated the skin would be more brighter and radiant. Otherwise most of the products that I have on my dressing table gives me radiance too. I can’t think of anything else but to treat this as enhancement face cream for the last step of my routine.

I do understand that most of you don’t like layering skin care am I right? Then this is the cream for you. Moisturizer, anti-aging, hydration and radiance…all 4-in-1 benefit by just applying this cream alone. I believe you will see a better result than I can. I can’t say this is totally useless because it is not. I just can’t see the benefit for me when I already layered a few skin care before using this. EVE LOM recommend using Intense Hydration Serum with this TLC Radiance Cream because it increases the free-radical fighting properties of the Vitamin C in TLC Radiance.

Before I embark on a new skin care journey with EVE LOM a month ago I didn’t know what to expect. I was excited yet intrigued to see how and what it will do to my skin or how it will change my skin. All my previous EVE LOM review touches on special care i.e. lips, cuticle, hand and eye care which is just the surface of what I’m about to review today – the power serum duo. That’s what I call “them”.

Let’s be honest here. I didn’t expect much from these serum except for hydration serum to hydrate my skin and firming serum to firm and lift my skin. It wasn’t that hard to guess since that’s the purpose of the serum as printed on the bottle itself. Throughout this whole month I realized just how different these are, day by day I finally get it and proved myself wrong.

EVE LOM Intense Hydration Serum (RM405 / 30ml)

I have briefly talked about the technical stuff on Intense Hydration Serum here. I cannot stress enough how well-hydrated skin is important to help in solving every other skin issue. This lightweight serum is clinically proven to increase your skin’s moisture levels by up to 20% in just two hours by giving the naturally produced Hyaluron a boost. Hyaluron stores moisture by forming a structure to hold up to 99% water for increased hydration. These natural Hyaluronic Acid in our skin actually decreases with age. The serum is simple yet highly effective concentrate uses Hyaluronic Acid to help smooth, plump, hydrate and protect complexion.

As this is a highly concentrated serum all you need is just 2 to 3 drops for the whole of face and neck twice a day (morning and evening). You may see that 2 to 3 drops is too little. It is. Especially if you are used to apply more than usual quantity of face serum. I’m guilty of that :). This serum is to be used before any cream which is the same for all serum.

EVE LOM Intense Hydration Serum comes with a glass dropper bottle. The glass pipette is larger in diameter than usual. The end of the pipette where serum is dispense out is slightly rounded too. I find that having a rounded end pipette helps in dispensing the serum out more. So in the end 2 to 3 drops doesn’t seems that little after all.

The serum is transparent in color. The opaque white bottle makes it harder to see inside if the serum is finishing or what’s not. What I really like about EVE LOM serum is definitely the texture. It’s not runny like other normal serum. It’s slightly gluey thick that spread and absorb in in no time. It’s not sticky to touch after that as the ingredient is mainly Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerine. There’s something special about this type of texture. It’s neither serum-ly or gel and definitely not cream. What Hyaluronic Acid in its purest form does is that it increases water retention in the skin while Glycerine (my favorite ingredient of all) helps to attract water to the skin and restores suppleness to the skin.

Nowadays my skin care routine is simplified after using EVE LOM. I no longer layer hydrating serum with moisturizer because I find that my skin is loving the Glycerine in the serum. It is sufficient to keep my oily skin hydrated without making the skin oily. Two weeks ago I notice the change of skin texture. My skin is more supple even after I stop layering 6 to 7 skin care product which I never expected. The funny thing is I never notice the difference until recently when I’ve been getting lots of compliment on my skin improvement. Everyone had been telling me how much better my skin looks now comparing with last time. Gosh I must have looked bad LOL!

Remember when I said well-hydrated skin is important to help in solving every other skin issue? Well, it’s true. At the end of this post you’ll see how “clean” my face is now. Acne clears off on faster rate and mark heals faster too.

EVE LOM Intense Firming Serum (RM405 / 30ml)

This lightweighted serum contain MPC Concentrate from milk, yes milk. A simple but hugely potent milk extract which is packed with Cytokines to leave your skin smoother, firmer and rejuvenated. It helps to stimulate connective tissue and strengthen the dermis. Use it long term and you will find a visibly younger looking skin.

Exactly same with Hydration Serum you only need 2 to 3 drops for the whole face and neck. Apply day and night before cream.

Let me tell you prior before that this is more thicker, more gluey than Hydration Serum.

The glass pipette is larger in diameter with slightly rounded end. As you can see the serum is all over the outside of the glass pipette. If Intense Hydration Serum is thick, you have not seen the meaning of thick yet. It is so thick that even there’s bubbles in the serum!

The serum on the back of my hand doesn’t budge and sits more firmly than Hydration Serum. It is also transparent in color, soft and smooth that goes on the surface on the skin with ease. This type of texture is officially my favorite one. I couldn’t think of a better word for the texture in particular although the name said serum but serum as we all know is more watery than this. It is definitely not cream gel :).

The main ingredient is Milk-derived MPC Concentrate to help strengthen the dermis, firm the skin and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while my favorite Glycerine is to help attract water to the skin and restore suppleness. I had a wild guess that Glycerine is what making the texture as it is.

At first I’m using this after Intense Hydration Serum but later on changed it to night routine while Hydration Serum for day routine. That way my skin will not get confuse of both Glycerine and so that I can benefit from both on different routine. Don’t mind me, you can use both together at the same routine. I choose not to because I like to layer my skin care :). While I am on Intense Firming Serum I stopped using Clarins Shaping Facial Lift. I had tried stopping SFL before but my face seems bloated. I would say Firming Serums is a good replacement as I didn’t see any bloated face in this one month.

I think it’s the combination use of both serum that my skin improved a lot. My guess is Glycerine is the main factor that contributed to this drastic change. For so long I had never step out of the house bare face. Only lately I am able to. Whatever that I had like breakout and post acne marks are all healed in a faster rate. I am well aware that this two serum are meant for hydration and firming respectively but in fact it does more – for me that is. I especially adore the after-effect long term use of the serum. Mind you I’m not trying to say that this serum will help with acne or acne marks. It actually improved the skin texture thus improving the absorbability rate for skin care. I always top it up with whitening serum to lighten all the uneven skin tone and marks. It is also because of that my skin is more clearer than before.

You must be thinking “eh that’s what you call clearer skin”? YES IN MY CASE. Before this my face was triple more worse than the picture below. I’m still working my way with regards to the pores and marks so please bear with me.

Does Intense Hydration Serum helped to hydrate my skin? So far my skin doesn’t flake and oil up at the same time which means my face is actually properly hydrated without overly done. I’ve mentioned before in this post that my skin condition is pretty tricky. My face is dehydrated and yet oily at the same time. I need to apply moisturizer but also need to beware and extra careful so that I don’t overly hydrate my skin thus making it oilier. I was recommended to use gel moisturizer because that’s what we can get in the market. Now since I discovered that EVE LOM have this Glycerine-base hydration serum, it’s even better for super duper oily skin like mine.

Does Intense Firming Serum helped to firm and lift my skin? I relied too much on Clarins Shaping Facial Lift that I can almost die if I don’t use it. I tried stopping because it’s getting more expensive due to a few price increase. Even without using for 3 days my face water retention gotten worse and I looked bloated. So far Firming Serum helped to stop all that. Ever since I used this I don’t see any water retention on my face. You know those deep lines on my forehead because I like to raise my eyebrow when I do my eye makeup? I really couldn’t change the way I do my makeup so the only thing I can improvise is my skin care. What this serum does to my forehead is that it makes my skin bounced back to it’s original state immediately after I’m done with my makeup aka after I’m done raising my eyebrow

Which of these duo intrigue you the most? The price is on the high side but thank God you only need 2 to 3 drops of the serum so my guess is a bottle can last you for about 6 months or so? Let’s put it at 6 months which means you only pay not more than RM68 per month for a bottle.

Eye care is tricky. I don’t simply review eye care despite numerous request asking for more eye care review. It’s not as easy as you think. You really need to be hardworking and diligent with the application day and night in order to see positive result. When I do test out eye care products I make sure I follow all instruction and use day and night continuously for minimum 3 weeks or so. When you said you don’t see result from your eye care, perhaps it’s time to rethink what went wrong.

For today I’m going to introduce to you yet another duo product review from EVE LOM targeting to give you the perfect eye care solution. Like I said above…when you said you cannot see any difference with your eye care product, it could be you are using it the wrong method, amount or even when there comes a time where you are too lazy to put on anything. Gotcha don’t I :). This would be the 4th eye care review I’ve done so far. So you would have guessed that it must be good that I’m reviewing it

EVE LOM Eye Lift (RM260 / 15ml)

This is a powerful triple-action, anti-wrinkle eye cream especially designed to lift, firm and smooth eye contour eye immediately. It also gives proper hydration and radiance to the eye area at the same time.

It contains Retinol (which has been carefully encapsulated for use around the eye contour) to lift and firm, Soy Isoflavones to reduce appearance of lines, Oat Kernel Extract to provide the immediate lift and Vitamin C to brighten skin tone.

This eye cream is one of the kind that I ever seen! It comes in a extremely slim and long white opaque tube. It’s the same signature white packaging with gold branding that I talked about all the time when it comes to EVE LOM. What makes this Eye Lift cream even more unique is the dispense nozzle. If you can see it has a some kind of spoon-like tip that is the applicator. For first time use you need to pump the applicator for quite some time before the Eye Lift cream is able to dispense out. It took me a finger-tiring 5 minutes of continuous pumping before a squirt of Eye Lift cream is pumped out. *phew*

Eye Lift cream is in yellowish-beige color. It is quite thick but not oily nor creamy. The scent is pretty much scentless to me but as usual EVE LOM product smells organic-ky to me. If I can take the scent, so can you

For the first few usage the Eye Lift cream squirted out further than expected. I often had the cream ended up elsewhere but my eye LOL. But after that everything is back to normal. The pump just need some adjusting itself.

For me one pump is enough for both eye area. Here is a simple picture diagram on how I used the applicator with Eye Lift cream.
(1) Pump ONCE for Eye Lift cream onto on side of the eye area.
(2) Use the applicator to pick and distribute some Eye Lift cream onto the other eye area.
(3) Use the applicator to apply and massage onto eye area.
(4) Lastly, use 2-fingers to gently tap using circular motion around the eye. This will bring some Eye Lift cream to the upper lid. Repeat until fully absorbed.

However I must mention that the applicator is a little bit scratchy. Just a tiny bit. The hole on the area where the Eye Lift cream are dispense out (tip) is slightly curvy therefore the sides of the hole is the reason why it’s scratchy. For me I have no issue with it because I’m used to it already. I admit when I used it at first I’m quite shocked and scared that I’ll hurt my eye. Then I realized I’m just being silly. If you think you have problem with it, just use your fingers!

EVE LOM Eye Cream (RM260 / 20ml)

EVE LOM Eye Cream on the other hand is packed with intensively concentrated actives to revitalise the eye contour area. Using Shea Butter as base, it locks in moisture while diminishing dark circles and reduces puffiness with it’s intensively hydrating properties.

It contain Extracts of Swiss Garden Cress to even out skin tone, Echium Seed Oil to rejuvenates and Age-Defying Peptides to firm skin around the eye area.

This eye cream comes in a frosty jar. It’s huge for a 20ml product. The cream is in white. Although bearing the “cream” word in the name, this is not as creamy or thick as I think. It’s more fluid than any other eye cream. Maybe because of this, it’s not oily and it’s more moisturizing without giving you any oil seed.

This Eye Cream is scentless. I think my nose detected a faint of Shea Butter but it wasn’t too powering. The scent disappear immediately after application.

At first I thought that the moisturizing from Eye Lift itself is enough for me but then I realized I need more hydrating so topping Eye Cream on top of it complement Eye Lift even better. Eye Cream locks in moisturize for the eye area so that it’s not dry and easily wrinkle-up. The amount I used is just a light finger tip dip, spread with both hand’s fingers, dab and apply. I think I missed out the part where both Eye Lift and Eye Cream gave a satin finishing. Some eye cream will leave an oily layer. This duo doesn’t. In fact because my eye area is smooth and satiny makeup goes on smoothly and nothing settle into the fine lines.

Yes you can apply the Eye Cream alone if you want to. It is not necessary to pair with Eye Lift. Or if you feel like you want to pair it with your other eye lift, by all mean go ahead. I know most of you are afraid that moisturizing eye cream will give you oil seed. Based on my personal experience I didn’t encounter any oil seed forming despite the fact that I have super oily skin. Instead this duo sort of smoothen out my eye area. See it to believe it.

I wouldn’t say the result is super duper different because my eye area problem isn’t that severe to begin with. But it does indeed make a difference to my eye area. I like how lifted my eyes is now. You know how sleepy I can get from waking up 5.30am every day. This duo really helps a lot.

Eye Cream really does help with dark circle for me while Eye Lift helps to smoothen fine lines. Personally I feel that massaging eye product until it’s fully absorb helps a lot. Before I got to all this beauty craze I like to just apply and leave it there. It’s no wonder I didn’t see any prominent results. So girls, do not be lazy to dab and massage your eye area with eye care products! Most importantly must be diligently hardworking and no lazy day when it comes to eye ya.
