Once in a while Sephora will organize beauty workshop for their members especially when any of the brand’s principal is in town. I couldn’t make it for Guerlain’s consumer event held on Saturday at Mandarin Oriental but I managed to RSVP two spots for Guerlain’s Special Christmas Event at Sephora KLCC last Sunday. Supposedly my friend were to go with me but she ended up in Pavilion and not KLCC. It’s no wonder she kept telling me she couldn’t find Sephora regardless my directions to her. It turns out we are not even talking about the same mall!

It was a quick beauty workshop with José Luis. It wasn’t a hands on event like the previous Make Up For Ever and Tarte workshop. I would prefer something that is not hands on so this one is perfect. José did five different look on five attendees and then we started exploring the collection. What I’m going to feature here is extracted from Guerlain website AND it’s all available at Sephora Malaysia stores . Yes, ALL OF IT. I don’t have the price so do go over to Sephora personally.

PETROUCHKA PALETTE Eye & Blush Palette – USD90

I was eyeing on the meteorites (what else) to add into my collection eventhough I knew that the shade is too warm and shimmery for my skin tone and also the palette is just beautiful. I get paranoid if I don’t use / finishes my current palette so I’ve decided to skip the palette. I like the lipstick but not looking forward to add more red to my collection. Skipped that too. I only purchased COQUE D’OR Perfumed Shimmer Powder Body & Hair. It was an unexpected purchase. I was the first to arrive and I get to chat with Adrian (Guerlain Trainer) and he showed me how beautiful the shimmer powder is. I’ve always wanted a shimmer powder especially the one from last year collection. It was sold out by the time I get to the counter. I was half sold there and then. When José used it for his fifth look demo, I’m 100% sold. I used my Sephora 10% discount so I got the shimmer powder for slightly cheaper price.

I didn’t know Smashbox came out with a holiday collection until I saw the display last week at Sephora IOI City Mall. The only YouTuber that I’ve watch a few weeks ago talking about Smashbox holiday collection is Shaaanxo.

Let me show you how gorgeous and how underrated Smashbox On The Rock Holiday 2014 Collection really are. I love them!

Of all holiday collection this year that I’ve gone oohhss and ahhhhss about, Smashbox IMHO is the only one that came out with sets that are useful and versatile. There is literally nothing in each set that I don’t want. Sometimes when you like a set but you don’t have the use for one or two items inside, you will still buy it because you wanted something in the set. With Smashbox, there was no such thing. Their holiday sets are very very useful.

I really like On The Rocks Photo Finish Primer Duo. Too bad the set was out only after the Black Card 20% sale otherwise this would be in my shopping bag for sure. I’ll just have to wait for clearance sale (if there’s any) to grab this and every other set that I’ve been eyeing . I also like On The Rocks Brush Set. I believe I didn’t see this the last time I’m at Sephora. Not sure if that was brought in for Malaysia market.

Hope you like this Smashbox On The Rocks Holiday 2014 Collections as much as I do. I may not buy immediately but if there’s any sale on any of these, you’ll see me bagging it lol.
