innisfree threw one of the best road show event ever. Their first if you still remember was the “Journey of The Green Tea Seed Serum”, which was held at Pavilion in April 2016 and it was a HUGE success. This time, innisfree is back with another successful road show event – My Cushion Pop-Up Store for the highly anticipated My Cushion. Last month I shared with you the exciting news that innisfree brought in 100 new My Cushion Cases design, together with two new applicator – Stamping Puff and Cushion Brush. The promotion was a hit (still is a hit) and innisfree brought it to another level with this My Cushion Pop-Up Store.

Why 100 new cases? Simple. Everyone style and preference are unique to them, and different from everyone else. My Cushion is actually innisfree’s first customizable cushion foundation that allows you to match it to your style. I bet you didn’t know that, because I didnt too!  The pop-up store will be at Sunway Pyramid, LG2 Orange Concourse from 16th September to 20th September 2016. That’s next Tuesday and that is also why I churned out a blog post on Sunday . You’re welcome 

When I reached the pop-up store. I was a little bit lost. Overwhelming I would say as it occupied the entire Concourse Floor. Don’t worry. There will be lots of assistance if you need any. Just ask around. But if you prefer to do all the exploration yourself, then read on! I will be guiding you on how to go about the pop-up store.

The Gallery

This is where you will be educated a bit on My Cushion. It has the simplest pictorial ever. Easy to understand with just looking at the pictures. This Gallery will prep you later on how to choose your base, case, and applicator. Yes! You get to choose all that according to your preference!

The Tunnel

The end of The Gallery will lead you to this space called The Tunnel. Basically all the 100 new case design will be projected on the huge horizontal wall. Hint: It makes a darn good Boomerang photo background

The Experience

The end of The Tunnel will lead you to The Experience table. Girls with brightly lid large mirror AND lots of makeup to play with, who don’t like! I do! If you are new to innisfree My Cushion, this is where you get to try out the type of cushion suits your skin i.e. Water Fit Cushion or Long Wear Cover Cushion (RM52), the shades closest to your skin tone, and lastly trying out all the applicator i.e. Air Magic Puff (RM9), Stamping Puff (RM23) or Cushion Brush (RM45). I find the applicator part to be very unique as no other BB Cushion or Cushion Foundation offers different tools than the typical rubbery puff. So do try out and find that ideal finishing suits your skin. And lastly, of course is to choose your cushion case (RM33). There are 100 designs and colours to choose from

Once you are done with all that, you can start to create your My Cushion by filling in the simple form given all around the pop-up store. If you did not have any, feel free to ask from any of the friendly staff around.

The best part of all? You get to see upclose and personal ALL 100 new My Cushion case design. I was told many stood in front of these cases for minimum half an hour. I did not want to be one of them so I had my eyes fix on one and that’s it. No more looking lol . Okay. I lied. I went back and stood for 5 minutes staring at the cases so that I won’t regret my decision later on haha!!

As I mentioned on my announcement post last month, in conjunction with the launch of innisfree 100 New My Cushion Cases, when you purchase a cushion set consisting of a cushion base and a case, you will get to choose ANOTHER case from 40 selected designs for absolutely FREE. Cream mask are my absolute favourite since I started beauty blogging. I know many girls are very much into sheet mask but I cringed at them. Cream mask does not slide down my face when I had it on while working on my computer. Some sheet mask can be a little too wet hence slippery on the face. A big no-no for me. Throw me a tube or bottle of cream mask anytime!

I had this Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask for quite some time now. As for the delay in reviewing, you already know the whole story – work caught up, camera spoilt and admitted to service center for 2 weeks. All that thingamajig story. I have also been working on every weekend for the past few months, which I have no complains. I love working. Having said that, work and attending events does took a lot of my time away from really sitting down and photographing products on the weekdays.

The Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is not new new. It was launched last year, if the details do register correctly in my brain. Innisfree is known for the hard clay version namely Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. And this Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is the cream mousse version. If you like the clay mask, you will like this too. It comes in a metal can with a pump top. This clumsy girl dropped the can and created a dent on the can the first day she got it . The pump is rather unique. It has a button cap attachment. It is recommended to always close the button cap and the can lid each time after use, which I understand as the mousse could potentially dries up if you did not.

The clay mask has its pros and con. So does this clay mousse. It is in a mousse form so it is super easy to get the product out to use. However, this is also tricky. You have to press on the dispenser carefully otherwise the mousse will flows out non-stop. A gentle, I repeat…a gentle soft press is all you need to dispense the amount for the whole face. You hardly even need to press. I am not kidding. The mousse is thick so you can spread evenly all over the face even with just a 50 cents coin amount. Another tricky part is the button cap. You have to use one of your finger to tilt the cap back so it does not get all over the mousse. Imagine doing all that while trying to gently press the pump down LOL. It is one chore I tell you . Oh and the mousse does gets all over the button cap. I always clean it up first before stuffing the button cap back but that also still gives me one heck of a mess. You know me. I am particular with cleanliness of my beauty products. It is really not an issue. Just personal preference.

If you are particular with scent, this Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask might irk you a bit. I am not particular with scent but the strong clay scent is not pleasant for my personal liking. This only happened when I apply (ter-pressed) too much product on my face. I tried a thinner layer and I hardly can smell the clay. So lesson learnt. PRESS GENTLY!

What I like about Innisfree is that all their products contain something from the Jeju island. The Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is formulated with Jeju’s natural volcanic cluster called volcanic scoria, which was formed from Jeju island’s volcano lava flow. It contain twice as much nutrients comparing to other clay and has much stronger sebum control capability than other mud or even red clay.

Once it is on the face, it does not gets everywhere. It does not drip and harden the crap out of your life like other clay mask. It feels absolutely comfortable on the skin, even on my currently dry and dehydrated skin condition. The mousse is so smooth and I heard its molecules are so much more smaller than our smallest pores. With 6,020mg of Jeju volcanic clusters in it, this means the product is able to slide on between bumps of the skin to effectively clean the pores from deep within.

As the mask does not harden up, it is very hard to feel when it is ready to be rinse off. Remember, this clay mousse is supposed to be on the face for 10-15 minutes only, then wash off with lukewarm water. After rinsing, face feels cool to touch, soft and smooth. There was no tingling or tightening on the skin at all. I am impressed.

Now comes the fun part! Following up with a cold Super Pore Tightening Mask. This is a gel-like reusable face mask. Absolute cute! I died when I saw it. Innisfree is a brand that is conscious about our Mother Earth and they do go all out on living an environmental-friendly lifestyle. Every year, Innisfree’s Eco-Handkerchief Campaign is launched in the month of June in conjunction with World Environment Day. This campaign actually started back in 2010 as an initiative to inspire its global customers to reduce their waste of paper napkins and facial tissues as well as to encourage customers to bring their own bag for shopping at Innisfree by rewarding them with a hankie with a low minimum purchase amount. Last year the design for the hankies evolves around seasonal plant motifs. This year, the designs revolve around the haenyeo, or “sea women,” of Jeju Island as well as the marine life of its waters.

I have watched a documentary on National Geographic channel before on South Korean women making a living by being a diver. These women are named as “the last mermaids on earth” existed since centuries ago. Sea women or haenyeo are resilient and fearless women who make their living by harvesting seafood with their bare hand from the ocean floor. The haenyeo way of diving and harvesting is recognised worldwide as eco-friendly as it not only minimises pollution but also co-existing with the nature. This centuries-long tradition has become important to South Korea cultural preservation that the South Korean government have requested for them to be added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

Three designs bearing the closest image of haenyeo swimming alongside indo-pacific bottlenose dolphins, basalt, and the coral of the sea of Jeju are imprinted on this year’s Eco-Handkerchief Campaign. The campaign tagline “Use a Hankie, Save the Earth!” remains the since as previous years and the clear initiative also remains the same. And that is to encourage the public to stop using napkins and facial tissues by replacing them with handkerchief. Innisfree make these hankies more trendier and fashionable through the Limited Edition theme. Besides using hankies to wipe away sweat or what not, you can use it as a handbag accessories, which I love to do or to wrap and carry a lunch bento box from home, also another environmental-friendly way to have lunch instead of packing them from the food stall using styrofoam.

Simply spend RM30 and above in a single receipt at Innisfree stores from June 1^st until June 30^th, decline the paper bag from the store AND then you will be rewarded with one of the Limited Edition eco-hankie.
