As promised last month, I will only reveal the Japanese magazine that is giving away a set of Coach travel brush AFTER I’ve gotten my magazine copy and the brushes passed my QC. I hope you can understand why I’m not willing to reveal earlier. I will and would not want some of you to rush over to Kinokuniya, placed an order for the magazine, get disappointed with the brush set and then BLAME ME. Can you see where I’m coming from?

So to cut the story short, my magazine order finally arrived after waiting for a month. I was told that MORE May 2014 X Coach Travel Brush Set will arrive either end of March or early April since the magazine is May 2014 issue. As I mentioned before, Japanese magazine released their magazine about 2 months earlier last time, now it’s just one month earlier. I received the collection sms on a Saturday morning and I collected it on Sunday afternoon, right before I head to Carlo Rino “Spring into Summer Dreams” Fashion Show at Pavilion. Will talk about that later.

MORE May 2014 X Coach Travel Brush Set magazine is priced at the price I had in mind. I knew the cost would be roughly RM30+ and not exceeding RM40. If you’ve been buying Japanese magazine as frequent as I do, you’ll be able to guess the magazine price roughly. Some guess it based a hardcore calculation from Yen to RM etc, I guess it based on the magazine title and the supplement included. No calculation needed

Now, the Coach travel brush set. You’re reading this means I think it’s good and worth to buy even just as collectible item. I like to collect Coach magazine supplement from Japan but I don’t buy it all, especially some which I think is not something I would use like table clock. I’ve seen and bought numerous Coach magazine supplement but never ever ever have I encounter something related to beauty or even a brush set. This, is right down my alley. The supplement comes with two travel size brush consisting of a face/blush brush measuring at 12cm and an eyeshadow brush measuring at 11cm. It also comes with a plastic zip lock pouch, bearing the latest Coach Madison Gingham print which measures at 9.5cm height over 20cm width.

When I first saw the teaser from Amazon a month ago I knew these brushes will be in travel size. Usually magazine supplement don’t do full size or give out retail/boutique item. What this means is you have understand that the quality is not at the same par as boutique one (if they have similar product selling at boutique). Japanese magazine publisher usually mass manufacture these magazine supplement items. With nearly 2-million of these being produced, it will not be in superb condition or even quality. I’ve been greeted with glue over a pouch or crooked stitching and even crooked bag alignment before. This is also a reason why I said I need to see these brushes first before recommending to you here!

These brushes is not as small as I think it would be. It is the same length with my MAC travel brushes and the brush quality is surprisingly good too. The face/blush brush bristle is quite soft while the eyeshadow brush bristle is quite stiff. Eventhough so I have no complain at all on them as I’m not very particular about makeup brushes.

The pouch included is obviously 10 times larger and bigger than the brushes duo, which means I can store every other makeup stuff in the pouch as well. I only wish they have the pouch in cloth material or if not, in thicker plastic material. The zip lock on top will tend to spoil in no time as well. So I would rather keep it instead of using it.

When I picked up my reserved magazine on Sunday around 1.30pm, there is only 3 copies left on the shelf. Usually Kinokuniya use two different shipment for the same magazine. I’m not going into detail on Kinokuniya shipment and total quantity per shipment etc because that’s for me to know . I suspect this is the first shipment. In another few more days there might or might not be a second shipment. It depends on the quantity that Kinokuniya is bringing in. You can always give Kinokuniya a call and make a reservation on a copy or ask about this magazine if it’s sold out.

While I’m not a watch person, I find myself waiting eagerly for SMART February 2014 X Head Porter Plus Watch since a few months ago. Usually Japanese Magazine are two months ahead but this SMART magazine is only available end of January 2014.

I knew that the magazine had arrived Kinokuniya KLCC last week but I was so busy with cleaning my room that I have no time to drop by KLCC. I finally make some time last Saturday morning and grab myself a copy.

My estimation on the price of the magazine would be in between RM50-RM60 so imagine my surprise when I found out that the price is RM43.20. Isetan card member would be entitle for a 5% discount for cash payment. So always bring cash whenever you are shopping for Japanese magazine.

The watch is packaged in the typical Japanese magazine supplement packaging. There’s a hard cardboard housing protecting the watch and the watch itself is wrapped in a bubble wrapping. Nothing fancy lol.

After I bought the magazine, I sat at the food court while heading to Parkson and ripped off the magazine to see the watch. I used to bring a knife with me as these magazine is usually taped heavily so tearing into it can be a challenge. My first impression on the watch was “light and filmsy” but later on changed my mind as although the watch can be a little light but the quality is not that bad. Afterall I only spend RM41.04 on it  and IT’S HEAD PORTER ya’all!!

What I like is the strap. Top half of the strap is made from canvas I suppose? and the bottom is made from leather. It’s a tad bit hard. I suppose most new leather men watch is like this right?

Yes, this is a men watch. Not quite my liking but it’s Head Porter! And the numeric is so big and easier to read too

Many of you keep asking me which Kinokuniya I bought my magazine from since I started blogging until now. Okay girls. For the last time…Kinokuniya is ONLY at KLCC. One and only. There’s no other outlet than KLCC. Sometimes when I wrote Kinokuniya KLCC also there will be people who will ask where is Kinokuniya lololol.

If you are interested with this magazine, head on to Kinokuniya KLCC the soonest possible. Usually SMART takes a longer time to be sold out and there’s ample of stock left but since it’s Head Porter, it may be sold out faster than usual

From my usual Kinokuniya rounding one fine Sunday morning 2 weeks ago, I spotted quite a few good magazine supplement deal but I only picked up two magazine this time round. I was really looking forward to see something for Malaysia Tatler but sadly the day I went is still 30th June. Malaysia Tatler don’t put up their magazine for sale earlier than what was scheduled.

Vogue Japan August 2013 X Fendi Folder – RM38.50

I saw this magazine popped out in a Singapore blog but soon forgotten about it until I stumble upon the magazine. It was the last copy available and to be frank I have no idea what is it. All I know is that it comes with a Fendi something! lol

The magazine cost RM38.50, which to my surprise is quite cheap. I would expect RM40+ since it’s Fendi. You could get a 5% discount if you pay cash and by showing your Isetan membership card. Which is what I did.

There is two supplement included. The first item is a black and white plastic Fendi folder. The folder may seems a bit cheap but the material is quite thick. Overall it’s quite nice. Not sure yet what I want to do with this LOL.

The second item included is a set of 3-postcard showcasing Fendi’s design sketch. Cool huh

ifeel July 2013 X L’Oreal Professionnel Liss Ultimate Smoothing Shampoo and Masque – RM6.50

There is also countless copies of ifeel magazine that comes with a set of L’Oreal Professionnel Liss Ultimate Smoothing Shampoo 100ml and Masque 75ml. Normally I would ask the availability at the counter first before making payment but since the supplement sample is placed everywhere, I assume the balance is still a lot so I paid and went straight to the Chinese Magazine counter to redeem.

Does this look familiar to you? Yes, the same set appear a month earlier in Vanity Trove June 2013 edition :D. I have totally forgotten that I have this at home lol. Anyway, RM6.50 is really cheap. And I also spotted that there are boxes and boxes of free gift still available.

I haven’t been to Kinokuniya for weeks! I like to take a walk at KLCC on Sunday but recent weeks is just too crazy. I went to KLCC last Sunday despite knowing that I needed to be at somewhere else. While I was there I popped in Kinokuniya to see what’s up and new. It was only the 31st March so some of the magazine are not on shelf yet like Malaysia Tatler who never fail to give out great supplement.

I spotted 3 magazine at Japanese Magazine section that comes with Coach supplement. I was this close to buy all 3 magazine but I’m less impulsive nowadays so I only bought InRed March 2013 issue that comes with Coach File and Folders. This magazine is retailing for RM42.90 and I paid cash to enjoy a 5% Isetan member rebate upon presenting my card.

When I reached home, I started to unwrap my magazine. Normally the outer plastic layer is tightly taped. I felt odd that my copy was all loose. I didn’t really suspect anything until I took at knife to cut open the protective cardboard. One side of it was already cut off! I started to suspect my copy was an open copy. Then I removed the stuff out and there’s another layer of plastic that was also torn open. By then I was really afraid that my copy is a defective copy. First I saw the pink Coach file. It looked alright, until I open up to see the inside. Sigh. I’ll show you why I sighed.

Anyway, the pink Coach file is absolutely gorgeous. It is made from hard and thick card board that the outlet layer was wrapped with pink cloth-like material. It is quite huge but slightly smaller than A4 size.

I guess the glue overflowed and stick both the flap and the file together so the buyer that bought this copy sort of force open the file until it looked like this. You can’t really see this because of the bright lighting. In real life it was much more worse. And I guess she returned the copy to get a replacement. But because this was the last copy so I have no other copy to choose at that time.

There’s 5 slots in the file. I had been thinking what to do with this folder and I know I need to put some documents and cheque book in this. It’s easier for me to look for these docs when I needed. That’s because most of the time I find myself searching high and low for a piece of paper like my camera warranty card

There’s also 3 beautiful folders included. I’ve always wanted a Coach folder since 1 year ago when I saw this supplement popped out but already sold out by the time I went to Kinokuniya. I was kinda happy to get not 1 but 3 folders. How often you see and get Coach folder right? And these supplement are original Coach from Japan.

Now I have Coach mousepad, scrunchie, memo pad, post-it-note, pouch, notebook, calendar, luggage tag, Poppy diary, file and folders

This is the last copy from Kinokuniya and it’s March 2013 issue which is normally on shelf 1 month earlier. You can still order this unless Amazon Japan is sold out. I’ve just check and it is still available so you can try checking Japanese Magazine counter for reordering.
