Honestly I have no idea what Black Friday is and why is there so many Black Friday sale around until a few days ago. So I did a quick googling and found the meaning behind Black Friday.

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States (the fourth Thursday of November), often regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

Thanks to Wikipedia, now we know why every single online shopping site you ever know are running their own version of Black Friday sale. I’ve gathered a few of them that I thought are good so you too can have a Black Friday sale shopping

I’ve never bought anything directly from Sigma before but I thought their complimentary worldwide shipping is a good deal. Just enter the code BF2014 at checkout. Oh and the site is also offering Cyber Monday sale of 20% OFF sitewide on the 1st December with the code CM2014 at checkout.

I was eyeing on Luxola yesterday for Black Friday sale and there wasn’t any. Then later that evening Luxola released an EDM on Cyber Monday sale with 40% OFF sitewide for the 1st December. It looks like they skipped Black Friday sale and head straight to Cyber Monday. But then again, all the discount doesn’t apply onto Zoeva anymore *sad*

I was so ready to get the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette two days ago but the free express delivery was over. I check yesterday and there was nothing as well. Most of the sale is for clothing etc and not the beauty products. Today when I check again, Net-a-Porter is back to offering complimentary express delivery (2-3 days) on all orders. The palette cost $10 more than every other site but the free express delivery is way better than other site. So in the end, it’s cheaper – $68 with express delivery vs £56.00 + £5.00 standard 21 days delivery.

Zalora is the mother of all online sale. For Black Friday, they are offering up to 70% OFF the brands listed as below. They have this 15% OFF on selected items with the code BLACKCRAY15 but that was valid until 28th November midnight. Subscribe to their newsletter and you’d get RM20 OFF too.

For the past few days Reebonz has been doing a pre-Black Friday Sale where as you’d get extra 11% OFF by entering the code 2014BLKF11MY at checkout. That’s the code I used to buy a Longchamp bag. I’ve always wanted another Longchamp bag but couldn’t decide on the color. Moving to the actual Black Friday Sale which started from 28th Dec to 30th Dec, the site is offering 500 items at 50% OFF, 400 items at 40% OFF and 300 items at 30% OFF. Not only that. Their two hourly specials – Gift-opia is happening from 10am to 10pm which will feature two items at final price for two hours only. If you’re a regular of Reebonz, you would have guessed that Reebonz never fail to have something extra for the weekend. The Body Shop too did a Black Friday sale. The 50% OFF EDM sounded so good so I check it out yesterday and disappointed to find that the selection is so small and unattractive. Perhaps you can find something that you like there.

Despite the mishap that happened to me a few months ago, I still check the page from time to time. Mysale has been doing a RM1 shipping fee which I find really good since we paid RM30 previously for a shitty delivery service. I couldn’t find any Black Friday sale on the site yesterday and it magically appeared this morning. Besides the deals and the RM1 shipping fee, Mysale also offer an extra 10% OFF, which will be deducted from your order at the checkout page. No discount code needed.

Lazada (http://www.lazada.com.my/)

Lazada is currently offering discounts up to 94% OFF for their Black Friday sale from 28th to 30th November. Besides that the site is also doing a Black Friday Weekend Giveway. All you have to do is to shop from 28th November to 1st December in order to receive a gift card to shop on 12th December. I don’t shop at Lazada personally so check it out if you’re into finding lots of funky stuff.

I’ve always wanted a good blending brush. Remember BLEND BLEND BLENNDD! Sigma is my first choice but unfortunately it’s not available in Malaysia unless I get it online. But of course I can get MAC one but it’s too expensive for a brush. I placed an order at www.sigmabeauty.com but the system had a slight issue during checkout. After emailing Sigma and numerous tries I still had problem checking out so I gave up. The last resort would be Luxola.

Almost all Sigma brushes at Luxola are sold out. After receiving an email that the brushes are in stock I placed my order immediately. Here’s my mini haul.

My main purchase is Sigma brushes. I bought 2 blending brush. Sigma E25 Blending (RM40) is said to be similar to the iconic MAC 217. I like Sigma E45 Small Tapered Blending (RM40) because of the round shape and pointy tip. Perfect for crease.

I notice that there’s a slight price increase with Sigma brushes in Luxola and I asked about this in Luxola Facebook page. According to them there’s a price increase globally. Thank goodness it’s not that much.

I also notice that Sleek Blush in Rose Gold are in stock therefore I ordered one too. Luxola refunded RM35 for the blush the next day due to system glitch. It was in fact still out of stock. As soon as the money was refunded I received an email from Luxola. They apologized for the error and mentioned that they will send the same blush tester. That was very kind and thoughtful of Luxola to do so. Thank you!

And not only that. Luxola also mentioned that they are sending me a Sleek Storm i-Divine Eye Shadow Palette (RM50). Now…that was a total surprise and unexpected. It’s not necessary for Luxola to compensate me with this palette but they did :). Once again THANK YOU!

I’m impressed with the overall shopping experience and the speed of processing my order. My parcel was packed and sent out the next day after payment. I was also provided with the parcel tracking number so every 2 days I will go online and track the whereabout of my parcel. It reached me in about 1 week which is okay since it’s shipped out from oversea (Singapore).

Every single item was bubble wrapped heavily in 2 layers and another layer for overall all items. Even the plastic packaging is also pre-bubble wrapped. For Luxola virgin shopper…you can be assured that your ordered item are treated with all the tender love and care before sending out to you.

I’d definitely be back for more Sigma brushes and hopefully this time Sleek blush are in stock.
