Q-pot., with a capital Q, small letter p and a full stop at the end is a well-known brand in Japan is hitting Malaysia this week! More on that in a second blog post later today so keep an eye on this page for more info . I met up with the lovely Nanami from Q-pot. last week, who flew in all the way from Japan. I did not think much when I was contacted by Q-pot. through Instagram. When Nanami asked if I heard of Q-pot., I said no. But when she showed me this Q-pot. mook, I jumped. Immediately I recognized the logo. Of course I known of Q-pot. Why did I said no, eh? I was confused lol. Then it hit me. I am meeting and talking to THE Q-pot. THE Q-pot.!

Not sure if you remember the time where I was very much into Japanese mook and magazines. Mook stands for book + magazine is a yearly production for any Japanese brand. I was told that Q-pot. only produces two mooks in a year which are categorized by season – Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. This Q-pot. Seasonal Look Book Melty Strawberry Chocolate is Autumn/Winter edition.

Generally the items included in a mook are more well-made than those in magazine albeit some could be vice versa. It really depends. I cannot say the same for all. However this Q-pot. Seasonal Look Book Melty Strawberry Chocolate mook comes with a top notch well-made sling bag. The theme of this Autumn/Winter mook is melty stawberry chocolate, which translated onto the sling bag. The way I look at it, it is melting chocolate on a strawberry

The sling bag included in the Q-pot. Seasonal Look Book Melty Strawberry Chocolate mook is said to be a 4-way bag. There is even a picture guide in the mook to show you four different ways on how you can use the bag. I personally am using it most as sling bag, and occasionally as a shoulder bag

The bag measures at 21cm Width, 14.5cm Height, 5cm Diameter and it comes with a 130.5cm strap. I have no idea what material was used but if you can touch it, you will agree that it is made from a good leather-like material. There are no flaws on the bag at all, which I am happy with. Usually mass produced bag like these freaks me out a little bit because there tend to be some flaws, stains or bumps here and there. This one, none.

The inside of the bag are properly lined and it has two inner pockets as well. Once again, I was surprised to see that even the lining of the bags are well-made. Oh and no funky leather smell as well.

Lesportsac Japan will be celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary by releasing 3 designs of 2013 Spring/Summer mook (magazine book) on 28th February 2013. These bags are such a cutie! It is measuring at W25.5×H16.5×D10cm. Not very big which is quite normal for all the Japanese magazines or mook. There’s a limitation with the space that they can fold and stuff the bag in the magazine.

Here’s how the 3 designs looked like.

All three designs are OK and carry-able anytime anywhere. I prefer Style #1 cause it’s more girly girl for me :). Plus I like bright and colorful stuff.

I haven’t been buying japanese magazine for quite some time. Upon purchasing any item, I could purchase HbG 2011 AUTUMN/WINTER Fairy Sky with a 20% discount at Kinokuniya. Original selling price is RM69.60 and I only paid RM55.68 for this mook. That’s a RM13.92 discount!

The usual packaging for japanese magazine or mook brand item.

The brand item is not wrapped with another plastic or whatsoever. It’s just placed in the protector cardboard.

I can’t make sure if this is pouch, multicase or wallet. To me this looks like a wallet more than multicase. Which is why I bought this at the first place…as a spare wallet.

This wallet is HUGE. It measures at a whopping 22cm x 14cm. This is also another reason why I decided to get it. Plus the print is cute too. You will find the iconic HbG brand patch on the front of the wallet too.

The back portion however is really weird. It’s slightly shorter than the front portion. I have seen the display unit before purchasing and it is indeed shorter at the back. Maybe it’s the style. I don’t know. But this doesn’t bother me at all.

Huge & spacious interior! Love it.

A cute bear bear zipper pull ;). Cute to the max.

This is indeed a worthy mook to get.
