Wanna know a secret? When Scholl launched the Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Foot File a year or two ago, I was so intrigued that I kept watching Youtube video on how to use it. It’s therapeudic . The most interesting video I watched is from BeautyQQ. That little machine worked so well on her and her mum! Lazada Malaysia had a super-worthy-over-the-roof promotion whereas you only paid RM189 for Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Foot File AND Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond 5300 Drinks (50ml x 16). Mind you both of these already cost RM310.10 as normal price. My parcel reached me more than a week delay thus the late posting of this review . I am so sorry about that but do keep an eye on Lazada website. Who know they might change the pricing again for Hari Raya Promotion or any other promotion? Which I foresee they *might* . Don’t quote me

The packaging was easy to rip off, which was to my surprise and I was able to get the foot file out of the shell without any tugging war. It is a very simple hand-held device with just two item in it. The foot file itself and a plastic cover for the roller head. The overall package comes with the Electronic Foot File, a Diamond Crystals Extra Coarse Roller Head, a Cover, and four AA batteries.

Operating the Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Foot File is as easy as just a turn of the ON and OFF dial. As simple as that! No rocket science.

The roller head now are replaced with Diamond Crystals Extra Coarse. Although “extra coarse” sounds intimidating and painful, however it is not the case. It feels very comfortable on the feet actually. Before using the device, you are advised to clean both your feet and dry them up well. The device only works on hard skin on the feet therefore it can only be used on dry feet. Never ever try using it on wet feet. Work on one area at a time with not more than 3-4 seconds per area. If you keep working on the same area for a long time, you may risk having redness on your feet. So go back and forth if you needed to. You should not feel any discomfort or irritation at all. If you do, just stop using . There will be white powdery residue from the filing so do this in the open environment ya.

Lo and behold! Miss Feet aka my feet makes an appearance for the first time (I think) in this blog . Look away if you feel ticklish or having goosebumps lol.

I do not have hard skin on my feet but my feet do tend to get very dry and flaky with the hot weather.

As I am always on high heels, cracked heels is unavoidable. It gets worse with the dry weather but still, no hard skin formation thank God. My cracked heels situation is not the worse case scenario so it took me less than a minute to smooth them out. I was not able to smooth the lines away because like I said, the skin on my feet is quite thin so I do not want to risk getting my feet irritated by running the device repeatedly on the area. Once I was satisfied with the result, I stopped . I clean the foot file, wash the roller head, wash my feet and apply some foot cream. Voila! I am all done.

It seems weird to see that Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Foot File had a bundle with Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond 5300 Drinks but it is also good as I get to try this version of collagen drink. I always believe and mentioned so many times before that besides nourishing our skin from the outside with topical skincare, we also need to take care of our skin from within. Regardless which type of product you choose, additional step to nourish our skin from the within is better than nothing.

The Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond 5300 Drinks comes in a pack of 16 bottles. That is a whole month of supply as you only need to take one bottle every two days, before breakfast or bedtime. I like my collagen drink before bedtime as morning I would be on my usual coffee .

I remember how collagen drink used to taste fishy and not palatable at all. With the improvement year by year, collagen drink actually taste so much better now. Just like a fruit juice. This Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond 5300 Drink is made of collagen, perilla seed extract, silk protein, soy isoflavone, and added with fruity condensed juice of apple, lemon and lychee. It is also far less sweet than every other collagen drink I have tried. I like the taste of this one better. It does not make me feel thirsty after one bottle. Best of all? No nasty fishy taste on the tongue.

This particular Collagen Diamond 5300 Drink is specifically for mature skin. That’s my skin we are talking about. It is meant to restore youthfulness, resilience and radiance as Collagen Peptide has a shorter molecular structure and easily absorbed by our skin. Implementing collagen drink intake into my beauty regime is not a secret as I have reviewed two brands before. Recently I tried another brand that is widely available at all major supermarket and pharmacy. That brand is none other than Kinohimitsu.

I don’t know about you but I know Kinohimitsu as a brand that produce collagen drink. Throughout the years Kinohimitsu had elevated thus coming out with more and more products. Not only I’ll walk you briefly on J’pan Beauty Drink – Collagen but I will also touch briefly on J’pan D’Tox Juice 6-Day Program.

Kinohimitsu J’pan D’Tox Juice 6-Day Program (RM79.90/box of six 30ml bottles)

Kinohimitsu J’pan D’Tox Juice uses a smart way to effectively flushes out toxins from the body within 2 to 4 hours. Despite being a detoxifying products it doesn’t interrupt daily life routine. It is made from 100% natural ingredients without any additives so it provide a high concentration of dietary fiber. These fiber increases the beneficial cultures in the digestive tract and improved as well as fortify the body’s defenses. Oh and did you know that this is derived from the Japan Royal Family?

J’pan D’Tox Juice is available in 2 different flavors – Cranberry and Plum. The one I tried is the Plum flavor. I prefer plum for it’s sourish taste. Each bottle weight at 30ml each.

Kinohimitsu said that it is important to detox before starting on collagen drink. This helps the collagen drink to be accepted and absorbed into our body easily and effectively. I was so nervous consuming this. I had bad experience with diarrhea after detoxification previously. It doesn’t help when I have weak intestine that are sensitive. For my first bottle consumption, I purposely consume it on a Sunday where I was at home. I’m terrified about running to the toilet again and again. One hour after consuming my first bottle I felt that my tummy was growling. It is not stomach ache, just a light growling. As I hit the 2nd hours the growling is more frequent and stronger. I felt a slight stomach ache but still doesn’t feel like those diarrhea type of stomach ache. You bet I hit the toilet to “detox” lol. To my surprise that’s the one time toilet visit only. The growling and pain stopped. It gets better on subsequent bottles. This would be my first time experiencing a pleasant detox process.

Kinohimitsu J’pan Beauty Drink – Collagen (RM89.90/box of six 50ml bottles)

Referred as “Youth & Beauty in a Bottle”, J’pan Beauty Drink-Collagen contains 2,500mg of high concentrated fish collagen to restore youthful skin. Experts around the world recommended to consume collagen daily in order to maintain the healthy beautiful skin.

Previously the fish used by Kinohimitsu is from Japan itself. Then they moved the factory to Taiwan after tsunami and uses high quality fish from France. Research conducted shown that the structure of fish collagen is nearly matched with human collagen. In another word it’s the most closest therefore it is suitable and safe to be consumed by human. Consuming this helps to boost up the collagen amount in our body. J’pan Beauty Drink-Collagen molecule is so small that easily absorbed by our body.

Weighing at 50ml each bottle, it is the same across other collagen drink as well. What makes each of them different is the collagen mg.

The main ingredient used is fish collagen, perilla seed extract-WSP, silk protein, soy isoflavone, apple, lemon and lychee condensed juices. I can taste the sweetness of lychee. Absolutely my favorite taste of all. For a full ingredient list, please refer to the below.

This is also a short 6-days course program that is recommended to consume consecutively for 6 days. The instruction stated to drink this either before breakfast or before bed time. On my first bottle I consume just before my bed time and I was awake the whole night. If you have experienced this before with other collagen drink I wouldn’t suggest taking this before bed because every other collagen drink kept me awake the whole night. I prefer this chilled as it taste better but nonetheless room temperature taste good too.

What J’pan Beauty Drink-Collagen does is that it effectively plump up your skin for a smoother, firmer and younger looking skin within a few weeks.

Kinohimitsu said that I should be able to see improvement in just 6 days which is after consuming one box of 6 bottles. However I don’t see any. I feel that 6 days is too short to judge. I would suggest maybe continue consuming for at least 12 days and above? The good thing is I like the lychee taste very much and I didn’t experience any breakout during the consumption period. I do have problem sleeping if I take this drink before bed. Once I switch it to day time everything is fine again.

A lot of people are confused with the origin of Kinohimitsu. The brand is from Japan, under a company named as Kino Biotech that operate a manufacturing plant located in Taiwan. Before this their manufacturing plant was in Japan, that was until after tsunami where the company decided to move it’s whole factory to Taiwan in order to provide a safer consumable products for all.

The question now is are you willing to start oral beauty supplement drink if you haven’t done so? What is your preference in choosing the right collagen drink? Price? Taste?

Since last week I’ve been consuming DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 that I had since the official launch last month. At first I have no intention of reviewing this collagen drink but after half way through the box I decided to pen down my thought on this for own reference in the future.

Do you know what DHC stands for? No right? Me too. I always thought DHC doesn’t have a specific meaning to it but I found out that DHC stands for “Daigaku Honyaku Center” which began as an educational translation company in Japan in 1972 and later on became a leading provider of educational business materials. Now, DHC Corporation is Japan’s No. 1 direct skincare company. It is a leading direct-to-consumer provider of beauty products, including skincare, body care and makeup items in S.E.A. DHC in Malaysia as we know only available exclusively at Watsons outlet. We also know DHC as skin care but not others. That was until last month when Watsons Malaysia launched an oral beauty supplement drink – DHC Collagen Beauty 7000.

DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 is retailing for RM129 per box. If you are lucky you can spot a RM199 for 2 boxes promotion in January and from February until March 2013 Watsons is having another promo of RM109.65 (after 15% discount). This promo will valid from 21st February until 25th March 2013.

The one that I had has another box inside. As this product is made and imported from Japan, the original printing on the box is all in Japanese. So I guess DHC Malaysia make another box with English wording on it just for us. Rest assured. The design for both box is the same. It’s just a box.

In a box there’s only 10 bottles of the collagen drink and each bottle is at 50ml. As you can see I’ve gone through 6 bottles before I took this picture which explains the missing bottles. I didn’t have any intention of writing about this product at the beginning so I started drinking every night before sleep. I changed my mind after seeing some different on my skin. I’ll explain below. Picture browser please read!

The bottle as you’ve guess is in pink. Same with the box. The printing on the bottle however is still Japanese. Remember it’s imported from Japan right?

The aluminium cap doesn’t completely comes off after twisting. Somehow it’s still stuck with the excess aluminium at the bottom. For convenience…I just leave the cap dangling while holding it with 2 fingers as I’m taking a sip.

Unlike Brand’s InnerShine Ruby Collagen Drink I don’t chill the drink prior. Maybe because it’s in my room and it doesn’t taste particularly sour without chill so I don’t bother that much. But of course it will taste better if chilled. I’m just too lazy to do so. Feel free to chill yours!

It is recommended to drink this at night before sleep. Now…I have bad experience of insomnia if I took beauty collagen drink at night and not forgetting the bad temper the next day due to lack of sleep so no doubt I was a bit skeptical to take this at night. But since Cheesie and Audrey is doing it, I did it too. Surprisingly I fell asleep very easily and slept like a baby until the next morning. There was no break out or whatsoever like others too.

The only thing that gave me goose bump is the taste. Don’t get me wrong, it taste good all thanks to muscat grape juice and honey for the freshness taste but beauty collagen drink can never run far away from fish collagen. That’s what every collagen drink contain which explains the slight fishy taste. I’m someone who can’t take fishy taste so even just a tiny bit will trigger my senses. This one is just a little. Not that bad cause you will finish a bottle in 2 big gulp or 3 smaller gulp :). During the launch I sampled a chilled bottle and it doesn’t even have the fishy taste. So if you are someone who is as sensitive as me, you can still be able to drink this down but chill it first.

DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 is a high quality collagen drink that allows you to consume 7,000 mgs of fish derived collagen in one bottle. Besides that ingredients like Vitamin C and other essential ingredients are also added to enhance its efficiency to promote collagen synthesis. If you take this DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 every night before going to bed for 3 consecutive months skin elasticity will increased by 26% and up to 46% in skin moisture.

What changes my mind to pen type down a review is after I saw how much better my skin looks like after just a few days of consuming. I don’t have the Before and After picture for comparison because of a last minute decision so here’s what I think.

I had quite a number of breakout for the past few weeks before that and my face was horrible. Somehow after consuming this beauty drink my face somewhat looks smoother and even makeup stays on beautifully. I believe DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 helped the inner of my skin to speed the healing process. This beauty drink boost the benefit of all the topical skin care I applied because previously I don’t see any changes but after drinking this everything on my face heal twice the speed. As I only had just one box I can’t tell you exactly if this will heal all the acne scars completely (most popular question) although without a doubt I managed to lighten most of the acne scars on my face in a faster speed. If I’m willing to restock this product and top it up with topical skin care for long term…I believe my skin will be at a much more beter state.

Recently I’ve embarked on a new journey in my beauty regime. After many years of hearing about collagen drink I’m finally on it. Thanks to BRAND’S InnerShine RubyCollagen Essence I find that collagen drink is not as bad as everyone been saying.

Y’all know how many steps I implement in my daily skin care routine right? All these skin care is called “topical skin care” as it sits on the surface of the skin and only 30% (or less) gets into the skin. I’ve explained this theory before in this post. What happen if you keep spending and spending on skin care but finds that it’s still not there yet (like me)? Well I think it’s time to think of other alternative because no matter how many more steps I implement or how expensive the product gets…it’s still useless if I didn’t start to nourish my skin from within.

In this review you would be seeing my week by week progress for 28-days. I won’t go too scientific as you can read from the website link that I will be posting at the end of the review but I’m gonna tell you how it is to me throughout this 28-days trial.

You’d not miss this BRAND’S InnerShine RubyCollagen Essence at the supermarket with it’s distintive striking color. By far this is the most attractive collagen drink that would definitely lure me to purchase. I sucks at pretty or cute packaging lol :). Most girls do!

Anti-aging should start from early age. You can be 25 but you started to have fine lines at the corner of your eyes. Signs of ageing doesn’t mean you’re old. It could triggered from many factors beside age.

The box is very heavy. Inside a box there’s 14 bottles which means you get 14 days of consumption. Yes one bottle per day but of course you can drink more than one but I wouldn’t suggest having more than 2 bottles.

Every bottle sits comfortable and securely in a cardboard holder.

The bottle has a slight curve texture surface underneath the wrapper. Each bottle is at 50ml of content. I like the fact that the bottle is slim and compact. It’s so easy to carry in the bag and consume anytime and anywhere. That’s because I carry a bottle in my handbag daily and consume during working hours. Sometimes when I’m not in the office I’d just crack a bottle and drink it in the car or while waiting for my client. Yummy!

Unlike other BRAND’S products where there’s a vacuum seal this one doesn’t. It’s tightly sealed with aluminium cap and sometimes opening it could be a bit tricky especially if you took this out from the fridge directly. When I’m at home I’d just ask my mum to open it for me haha. I have smaller hands comparing to my mums.

Depending on preference on how to consume it, I personally like to take smaller sips and enjoy the taste and the drink while imagining I have youthful appearance LOL. No harm having a good dream right? So I like to pour it out to a small glass. When I’m in a hurry I’d just drink it from it’s bottle.

I like my BRAND’S InnerShine RubyCollagen Essence to be chilled. Personally I feel that it taste a lot smoother and less sour when it’s cold. Not that I have problem with sour drink but just like it cold. Again this is up to each individual preference. As long as you don’t put this in microwave I think it’s okay LOL!!

There’s a reason why the name is called RubyCollagen Essence and why is box and bottle packaging is in striking red. That’s because the color of RubyCollagen Essence is indeed red like a ruby! This is not coloring mind you. RubyCollagen Essence get it’s beautiful color from Pomegranate. I’ve heard most of the collagen drink in the market is not easy to consume due to the taste but this one taste just like fruit drink.

BRAND’S InnerShine RubyCollagen Essence contains the unique RubySignature™ which is a proprietary formula which works to defy ageing process by forming a triple-action of “supply, protect and support”. Unlike normal collagen drink, the RubySignature™ formula is a precious blend of easily absorbed micro-collagen derived from fish and Astaxanthin which is extracted from a special strain of micro-algae found in Sweden.

At the beginning I don’t see any changes with radiant. Maybe I was observing too closely that I can’t see it. However when I hit my 3rd week of consumption, that’s when everything is different. Self pictures taken for product reviews are much more clearer and nicer. Just one shot and I’m satisfied with the result. There’s also a changes with my skin texture. I don’t have the smoothest skin in the world due to acne breakouts during teenager days. I can see that my skin are more level out and smoother. If you look at below Day #7, Day #14 and Day #21 pictures and compare them with Day #0 you’d also notice that my skin are “lifted” but the bad thing is I look chubby on the face cause everything is up!! Haha. Nevermind that.

It is true what people said about collagen drink to nourish the skin from within cause I do looked much more radiant. Even the lovely ladies at Cerebos and Cerebos PR personnel said I looked so much radiant than before hehe. I must have looked quite bad when she first met me hehehe. It’s a happy compliment for me.

BRAND’S InnerShine RubyCollagen Essence works efficiently because it is 6000X more powerful than Vitamin C, 800X more powerful than CoQ10 and 500X more powerful than Vitamin E. 

My gosh. 6000X more powerful than Vitamin C. That’s like consuming a few thousands of oranges daily? You don’t need to do that. There’s a more simpler way now.

What about the end of my 28-days trial eh? Well, I look like this :). My skin glow even without me putting on Guerlain Meteorites Perles.

Even after 28-days of trial has ended but I still continue drinking RubyCollagen Essence because I see results. It may not be as immediate as a day or a week but it works. And quite fast too to be honest. This is my first time trying collagen drink and boy I’m glad it’s this and not others.
