I got to know Love Face when a few bloggers went to one of their event and posted on Instagram about it. Usually I browse through Instagram in a fast manner, not paying much attention but most picture from the event that I saw was 23.5N. And the brand 23.5N from Taiwan was one of the brand that I particularly like when I attended the Taiwan Beauty Power Networking Event last year. I was like… since when 23.5N was launch in Malaysia? Because I remember the brand told me that they “have plans” to expand their market to Malaysia shore but I didn’t expect they did it in just a short few months. So I started browsing Love Face website. To be honest at that time I have no idea what I was looking at as I can’t understand what they are trying to sell – is it a monthly beauty box subscription? Is it a curated type of beauty box? Why so many mask? And so on. Fast forward to a few months ago when I met the lovely Founder of Love Face. It was then I understand what is Love Face. I find that the Founder and I both have one thing in common; and that is we both do what we are passionate about and everything else such as money etc comes next. It was through that one meeting that I see my younger self in her, which is why we could meet and chat for hours. We are going to launch a Love Face X #IWillBeOkay box soon but before that, I thought I might tell you a bit more about Love Face in this short and simple post.

1. First and only online store selling imported Taiwan beauty products

We have all seen a lot Korean beauty online store, Japanese beauty online store, Western beauty online store and what not. Love Face is more passionate about Taiwan beauty products and this fills in the gap in the market. They have deep understanding of the Taiwan beauty trend (even more than I do) and fell in love with the products they had tried. Then they go the extra mile in bringing the products in. Everything you see on Love Face website are specially curated by the Founder herself. You will not find the same set elsewhere, even the travel set of 23.5N are all curated and well chosen. Based on the conversation I had with Love Face, I find that Taiwan beauty products are expensive to bring in, hence not many people want to sell Taiwan products here. However, you will be able to find rare brands from Love Face. Among the brands Love Face carry are 23.5°N, L’herboflore, Soffy Girl, Beauty Mate, A.H.C, Beauty Love, Gifu Cosme, LuLuLun, Utena, and Maison De Blanc. They are slowly adding more and more brands in so keep checking them out from time to time!

2. Main focus is face sheet mask

I remember telling Love Face the first impression they gave me, hoping they will not get mad at me for being such a straight forward person. But I meant well and I wanted to help so I told Love Face what I think – that I don’t understand their direction. I’m glad I did because then I understand the whole business aspect more. I won’t spill all the beans here but in a nutshell, Love Face focuses on face sheet mask, besides bringing in Taiwan skin care brands into the market. When I implement #IWillBeOkay Shop into this blog, I wanted the check out process to be the simplest ever because I get the nastiest comments sometimes and I know I will get pounded with more nasty comments if they are not straight forward like – click buy, pay and get the parcel. The first thing I check when I first browse through Love Face website was their check out page. I know, weird that that’s the thing I see first . And to my surprise, they are the simplest ever! Comparing to every other online store, Love Face has a hassle-free check out page. According to the Founder, they do get enquiries on how to check out despite being an automated step-by-step website. So they customized EVERYTHING to be within the same page. That, my friend, is the simplest and most hassle-free check out I’ve seen. I started to think we think alike lol.

I love quirky beauty products. I bet all girls do. That’s what makes them buy it! Sometimes you thought you’ve seen it all, used it all, then something quirkier came out and it blew your mind. This was what makes my eye balls popped out of the socket several months ago. I first saw this new Dr. Brand Magnetight Skin Recharging Magnet Mask from Tati of Glam Life Guru channel. I quickly went on Kensapothecary website to see if we have it here in Malaysia and most importantly the price but to only find out that we do not have it. Yet. Fast forward to a month or two ago, we can finally buy Magnetight mask.

I have the mask for quite some time now. I did a quick Insta Stories first impression, literally bringing you along as I unbox and apply the mask for the first time, and many of you DM-ed me saying you saw a significant smoother and brighter skin as soon as I removed the mask. I promised an Insta Video and that took me a while to post up because my eczema on the forehead is having too much fun. It would be so weird to see a red patch on the forehead hehe. Dr. Brand Magnetight Skin Recharging Magnet Mask comes in a hefty square tub. I for one is not someone who read instruction before using any skincare so I really do appreciate the box that has a 3-piece top, which I need to flip open one by one in order to get the tub out. Each piece are printed with a step by step how-to-use instruction. It was pretty handy for me. I already know this is a magnet mask that comes with a piece of magnet for removal so I was searching high and low for that piece of magnet only to find it sticking tightly on the bottom of the tub. How genius!

I received quite a lot of enquiry on what does the mask do. Basically everyone is curious as to its function so to speak. It is defined as age-defying mask therefore I am just going to classified this as an anti-aging mask. It claimed to dramatically transforming the skin appearance by harnessing the power of attraction. Hence the magnetic mask gimmick. It is also said that the magnetic properties in the mask has iron based formula that is able to help in reducing signs of aging and to destress the skin, transforming the skin into a more energized looking skin. Now, that’s not too much to digest isn’t it

It is a magnetic mask afterall so the product comes in a dark grey shade. It has a smell to it. Scent is kinda personal so I apologize if you’re smelling something different than what my nose picked up. I do smell that metal-y scent, only more pleasant. However it is quite strong. You will smell this on your face for the next 10-minutes you have the mask on and after that as well.

The whole package also include a plastic spatula. It does a fine job in scooping the product out of the tub. I was supposed to be applying the mask on my face using the same spatula but I find that it doesn’t give me a smooth application as how I like it to be. Sometimes, well most of the time a thick application *giggles*.

Magnetight Skin Recharging Magnet Mask is thick and creamy. What I like about the mask is that it doesn’t dries down to a harden mask. So I can take my sweet time applying and smoothing out the mask. Application is a breeze now that I have a proper face mask brush application haha! I usually have the mask on and start working on my laptop. By the time I know it, it’s time to remove the mask. That my friend, is the most exciting part about the mask!

Remember that triangle piece of magnet included, wrap that magnet with a piece of tissue paper and start “gliding” it all over the surface of the skin. No pressure needed AT ALL. The magnet will work it’s magic. What I like to do is to watch the mask lifted from the skin to the tissue paper effortlessly. However, this process is also the messiest task despite being the most fun and interesting one. You will need to replace the tissue every now and then as the magnet will not be as powerful as the beginning when the mask are all piled up on the magnet. All I do is to flip the tissue around. Sounds easy right? Not! Even removing the tissue from the magnet is a challenging job. The mask residue are stuck tightly on the tissue. You will need a little bit of force to rip it off from the magnet. Most of the time the mask residue will get onto the magnet. Needless to say removing that residue from the piece of magnet is even more challenging lol!! But fret not. Once you get the hang of it, it will be an easy job. I have been using this mask for several times now and it’s been good so far.

Once you’ve done the fun part of removing the mask from your face, just massage in the remaining product into the skin. This is why I mentioned that you will smell the metal-y mask scent even after removal. I have to tell you that there will be a layer of oil on the skin, which is what you don’t rinse off but massage in. Yes it is a little bit oily so what I like to do is to use a clean piece of tissue paper, wrap around the magnet and run all over my face to remove most of the residue. Even though so there will still be a little bit of oil left on the skin, which I did not mind at all as my face are significantly smoother and brighter. Does the effect last? Yes for me. Some people find it odd that I am not a fan of sheet mask and love cream or wash off mask to death. That is because my masking time is always at night, when I am penning down a blog review. I find that sheet mask tend to slide down my face and pull my skin downward along the way, especially those that are heavily soaked with essence. Those are heavy! Now this, this KOCOSTAR Slice Mask Sheet is my new found love. I love these to death. More than my wash off mask? Maybe. Probably. Well, who’s counting?

I posted a short video on Instagram using KOCOSTAR Slice Mask Sheet for the first time, probably one to two months ago and I did not expect it to gained so many views. As the name says it all, KOCOSTAR Slice Mask Sheet is a face mask but in a pieces form. Based on KOCOSTAR official website, there are two types – fruit slice mask aka Slice Mask Sheet and flower slice mask aka Flower Mask. The name are slightly different but it is still in pieces form. For Malaysia, you can get only 4 types of Slice Mask Sheet namely Cucumber, Watermelon, Tomato and Lemon.

These masks are the coolest and most fun mask I have ever seen, used, repurchased again and again. What I like about these Slice Mask Sheet is that it comes in pieces and that gives me the freedom to customize my masking treatment with different type of mask on different area on my face. Each piece of mask is soaked with essence sufficiently and it does not wet my entire face or with essence dripping down the neck. Urrgghh! I hate that with normal sheet mask. Some people are OK with that but not me.

I am well aware that these type of mask may not be everyone’s cup of tea. A review I read on Sephora product review mentioned about not liking the fact that the mask does not cover the entire face. Well, of course you don’t! I thought that is pretty obvious? lol. Unless you use two packets then yes you do . If you like a soaking wet face, then you would not like this. If you are more specific in customization or you like to experiment and have fun with your beauty routine, you may like this mask. For me, I like to find pleasure in my beauty routine so these mask suits my preference. Why so serious, eh?

The most common question when it comes to sheet mask is that, which side does to where? I think I mentioned this before somewhere but I thought I could share with you my thoughts. The side facing the protective film goes on the face. What if it’s upside down? It doesn’t matter if you accidentally placed the wrong side on the face. The God of sheet mask wouldn’t punish you for that

When I was filming my video, everything was done so quickly that I did not see properly and so I only notice that I placed a few pieces upside down. It is only noticeable when the mask dries up. When it is fresh off the pack, it does not look any different. However I find that if you place the mask facing upward correctly, the pieces of mask will stay put on the face even when it dries up. If you placed it upside down like I did below, it curls up when it is ready to be taken off.

This is also another thing I like about KOCOSTAR Slice Mask Sheet. When the mask has done whatever it needed to do, it just dries up and you can peel it off like that. This is THE ONLY mask I can tell you that no rinsing is required because there isn’t really any residue left on top of the skin. That is why I like these slice mask.

So, which mask to choose and which goes to where?

• Lemon – helps to lighten and brighten skin tone for a more radiant skin.
• Cucumber – helps to deliver high levels of Vitamin C and to maintain moisture level.
• Tomato – helps to boost radiance while providing moisture to the skin.
• Watermelon – helps to hydrate skin and to refresh the skin.

Basically, Cucumber, Tomato and Watermelon is pretty much the same in term of providing hydration to the skin, except that Tomato has more of a brightening effect. The mask texture is kinda like souffle. It dispenses a rather solid looking product out from the nozzle but when lightly touch, it is actually soft like skin-like texture. It does not have any added synthetic fragrance added to it but it does have a faint scent to it. I was so glad this does not smells bad, in fact it smells pretty good! The scent is described as Roman Chamomile, that is warm, sweet and herbaceous that is relaxing and calming for the body and mind. I’m sure I could smell the herbaceous part but not the Chamomile. Well, everybody’s nose is different lol.

As you can see, the mask goes on slightly murky but immediately dissolved and turns clear. I like to apply a generous thick layer of this mask whenever I feel that my skin is turning red here and there. This mask is able to bring the redness down, in 10 minutes or so as claimed. It does bring the discomfort down, especially after a day spent outside under the sun. Personally I like to leave it on longer. Well, most of the time I forgotten about it because the scent is so soothing and the soft texture is unnoticeable on my face.

The pump and the attached nozzle cover is one of the feature I like the most on this Evercalm™ Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask. This prevent the mask that are already on its way out harden. I never had any issue of dispensing harden mask out each time I used this. It is always fresh and soft mask that dispenses out.

Rinsing wise, it can take a bit of time as the mask is velvety soft and cream-gel like. I find that using a Muslin cloth helps A LOT. I found my new and unused Eve Lom Muslin cloth from my old beauty storage and I happily use it to remove this mask under running water. It does save so much time. Sometimes when I am too lazy to walk to the sink, I used this face mist method. It does leave a velvety soft skin after rinsing with water so make sure you rinse well especially if you apply a thick layer like me.

Now, the biggest question is – does this mask suits only to sensitive skin? This mask suits ALL skin type, from sensitive to very dry skin. Product that are meant for sensitive skin are usually more mild and gentle hence the suitability for every other skin type. One could use this mask up to 3 times a week or whenever you need it for urgent fix. The trick is to GO GENEROUS with the application and leave it on for 10 minutes. I like to leave it on for 20 minutes
