Cream mask are my absolute favourite since I started beauty blogging. I know many girls are very much into sheet mask but I cringed at them. Cream mask does not slide down my face when I had it on while working on my computer. Some sheet mask can be a little too wet hence slippery on the face. A big no-no for me. Throw me a tube or bottle of cream mask anytime!

I had this Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask for quite some time now. As for the delay in reviewing, you already know the whole story – work caught up, camera spoilt and admitted to service center for 2 weeks. All that thingamajig story. I have also been working on every weekend for the past few months, which I have no complains. I love working. Having said that, work and attending events does took a lot of my time away from really sitting down and photographing products on the weekdays.

The Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is not new new. It was launched last year, if the details do register correctly in my brain. Innisfree is known for the hard clay version namely Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. And this Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is the cream mousse version. If you like the clay mask, you will like this too. It comes in a metal can with a pump top. This clumsy girl dropped the can and created a dent on the can the first day she got it . The pump is rather unique. It has a button cap attachment. It is recommended to always close the button cap and the can lid each time after use, which I understand as the mousse could potentially dries up if you did not.

The clay mask has its pros and con. So does this clay mousse. It is in a mousse form so it is super easy to get the product out to use. However, this is also tricky. You have to press on the dispenser carefully otherwise the mousse will flows out non-stop. A gentle, I repeat…a gentle soft press is all you need to dispense the amount for the whole face. You hardly even need to press. I am not kidding. The mousse is thick so you can spread evenly all over the face even with just a 50 cents coin amount. Another tricky part is the button cap. You have to use one of your finger to tilt the cap back so it does not get all over the mousse. Imagine doing all that while trying to gently press the pump down LOL. It is one chore I tell you . Oh and the mousse does gets all over the button cap. I always clean it up first before stuffing the button cap back but that also still gives me one heck of a mess. You know me. I am particular with cleanliness of my beauty products. It is really not an issue. Just personal preference.

If you are particular with scent, this Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask might irk you a bit. I am not particular with scent but the strong clay scent is not pleasant for my personal liking. This only happened when I apply (ter-pressed) too much product on my face. I tried a thinner layer and I hardly can smell the clay. So lesson learnt. PRESS GENTLY!

What I like about Innisfree is that all their products contain something from the Jeju island. The Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask is formulated with Jeju’s natural volcanic cluster called volcanic scoria, which was formed from Jeju island’s volcano lava flow. It contain twice as much nutrients comparing to other clay and has much stronger sebum control capability than other mud or even red clay.

Once it is on the face, it does not gets everywhere. It does not drip and harden the crap out of your life like other clay mask. It feels absolutely comfortable on the skin, even on my currently dry and dehydrated skin condition. The mousse is so smooth and I heard its molecules are so much more smaller than our smallest pores. With 6,020mg of Jeju volcanic clusters in it, this means the product is able to slide on between bumps of the skin to effectively clean the pores from deep within.

As the mask does not harden up, it is very hard to feel when it is ready to be rinse off. Remember, this clay mousse is supposed to be on the face for 10-15 minutes only, then wash off with lukewarm water. After rinsing, face feels cool to touch, soft and smooth. There was no tingling or tightening on the skin at all. I am impressed.

Now comes the fun part! Following up with a cold Super Pore Tightening Mask. This is a gel-like reusable face mask. Absolute cute! I died when I saw it. The concept behind R.N.A. POWER range is the signature ingredient which we all know SK-II for; Pitera™ together with R.N.A. (Radical New Age) Complex. Together, both the key ingredients targets the multi-controller of firmness in order to achieve lengthwise firmness and crosswise firmness. It is done so by rejuvenating skin cells and by promoting structural protein synthesis in every cell on all layers of the skin.

R.N.A. POWER Radical New Age Essence

The first step to a youthful, bouncy and poreless skin starts with the essence. It is the critical first line defence against any aging concerns. I was told that the Radical New Age Essence contain Stempower Essence in it.

Comparing to the previous Stempower Essence, Radical New Age Essence is more milky and thicker type of essence consistency. It does not feels heavy on the skin and it absorbed rather quickly after working on the skin for a few seconds. It is recommended to use 2 droppers for the whole face and neck, however I find that too much for my skin so I only used half a dropper each time. What I like about this essence is that it does not contain any scent at all although it is stated that the essence is formulated with a light and natural olive fragrance.

Due to the thicker consistency, this Radical New Age Essence are designed to improve emerging signs of aging and specifically targeting large pores and skin refinement. I was blessed to have combination skin so I don’t have any signs of aging (yet) so my only concern would be large pores. On naked eyes it doesn’t seems like it does anything for my absolutely gigantic pores BUT the result are significant after I had foundation on. I no longer spend half an hour trying to blend the foundation over my large pores. As you are aware, I like to “oil-up” my face before I went to sleep. The heavier texture is actually my favourite. I woke up everyday with a supple and moisturized skin. I’ve not been applying my sleeping mask because of this new range that I implemented into my beauty routine.

R.N.A. POWER Radical New Age Cream

The anchor product of the R.N.A. Power range is this cream. That is because SK-II’s best-selling moisturizer was taken and upgraded to this cream that is able to treat all 10 signs of aging such as dryness, loss of firmness, fine lines, wrinkles, lack of resilience, visible pores, sagging skin, sallowness, lack of radiance, roughness and loss of rightened facial contours.

This cream, I like! More than the Stempower Cream because I always thinks that Stempower Cream is way too heavy for my skin. The texture of this Radical New Age Cream is similar to the Essence, only a tad bit thicker. Just a tiny bit. This iconic cream is said to tighten large pores even in just one day of application. By 10 days, all 10 signs of aging are improved!

Same as the essence, this cream does not have any scent at all. I actually like the all-natural scent of it, probably what I was smelling is the natural olive fragrance. But to me it’s scentless. This cream has to be used moderately. The key is less is more because of the essence applied earlier. Therefore there’s no need to slap on a thick layer of the cream. I like how smooth and velvety is my skin straight after application. The next morning my skin is even better looking. Although both products are more oilier and heavier, it doesn’t gave me any breakout. Usually any skincare that are too heavy or moisturized will gave me a few spots the next morning. In fact I have not had any new spots ever since I started using both the Radical New Age Essence and Cream.

I believe that the Essence and the Cream worked best hand-in-hand so do use both of them together for best results. I’ve tried skipping either one product and my skin doesn’t feel the same the next morning. Still good but it feels like something is missing. Both products are suitable to be used day and night, however if you have oily skin, try to cut down on the amount of product so that your face doesn’t get too oily.

When I received the invitation from Murad to attend the official launch event for the NEW Invisiblur™ Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | PA+++, I quickly concluded that it is going to be a sunscreen product launch due to the word “Broad Spectrum” within the product name. Can’t blame me though, we are in the middle of a sunscreen Olympic whereas most of the brands are releasing or reformulate sunscreen products. I extended the invite to Arpita and when she asked what was the launch about, I told her it’s a new sunscreen product LOL. Nope, it’s definitely not a direct sunscreen product and I’ll tell you why.

Right after telling Arpita it’s a sunscreen product, I did a quick Google search on Invisiblur™ and I stumbled upon this video by Sephora.

My jaw literally dropped to the floor and I have to pick them up. Holy moly. This stuff is amazeball! I do realized I tried to amaze you without telling you what it is

Murad Invisiblur™ Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | PA+++ is a multi-tasking formula product that immediately treats the visible signs of aging, blurs imperfections and protects skin against UV damage. Yes, it’s a 3-in-1 product so raise your hands up in the air because you are about to save so much time with layering three different products. It is the FIRST translucent skincare product which feature colourless sunscreen thanks to the use of advanced technology. Sunscreen, as all of us already know does not come in transparent colour. Invisiblur is also formulated together with specialized ingredients in the product to promote a total skin perfection. It has already been tested and proven to be a solution to reduce the appearance of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles by improving the skin resilience, while refining skin texture and tone. As a result, the skin reveals a smoother, blurred like photoshop effect and of course, flawless complexion.

First thing first, let’s touch a bit on the bottle. Invisiblur comes in a see-through vacuum pump bottle, together with a Open-Close top. Like, like and like! I like that the bottle is see-through so I can see how much product left. I like the idea of a bottle using vacuum instead of the normal tube therefore, there will be NO wastage and I do not have to scrap what’s left on the inner bottle wall. Thank goodness for that! Lastly, I like the Open-Close top. I always have the idea that product that are not properly sealed from the air will harden especially gel product like this, regardless there is a separate cap or not. I notice that with this type of cap, I do not encounter any of that issue at all.

I have been contemplating if I should do a hand swatch for you or not because the product is transparent and it’s pretty pointless for me to do a hand swatch if you can’t see anything! But I did it anyway for you. See, you can’t see anything

Fret not. The hand swatch may be a failure but not what I’m about to show you. It’s even better. The Before and After. A staple in Street Love household. No review will be complete without one or two Before and After comparison photo. If you hear me WOW-ing too dramatically in this review, bear in mind I’m looking at these photos using a MacBook so everything will be 1000x sharper heh!

Ever since I started using Murad Invisiblur™ Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | PA+++, my morning get ready routine has been so much easier on me. I skipped individual sunscreen and I skipped individual makeup primer. This one product does all that for me, and more. It fills into my humongous pores slightly (because mine are epic-ly large), blurs the imperfection on my skin as if I applied some photoshop filter on my face and it comes with sunscreen! No wait, let me rephrase. A sunscreen that is not oily. I can’t really say this product is matte because on me it’s semi-matte. However it’s definitely velvety satin finishing. I wouldn’t recommend using a lot each use. It can become sticky if you over apply it. Remember, less is more

The only downside that I find with this product is that you need to work fast. YOU DO NOT LET THE PRODUCT SET and apply foundation / BB Cream. Instead, do it as soon as you are done applying Invisiblur, while it’s still tacky. The reason being is that Invisiblur flakes if you apply your foundation after it sets. If you do it immediately, you’ll be fine.

In the video I posted earlier, this product can be used in a few different method.

1. On it’s own.
2. Apply as sunscreen + makeup primer, follow up with foundation / BB Cream.
3. Mix together with foundation / BB Cream, or any other base makeup.

On the photo below, I did two different way of application. On the left is Invisiblur with BB Cream. I kind of like this method BUT it will only work if you use lesser Invisiblur. I found the perfect mixing amount for myself, which is 2 parts of BB Cream with 1 part of Invisiblur (2:1). Bear in mind Invisiblur added to BB Cream will lighten the BB Cream consistency and coverage, turning it to somewhat similar to tinted moisturizer. That is why I used 2 parts of BB Cream as I prefer fuller coverage. I find that this method covers my pores better than using it separately.

On the right is just Invisiblur alone. It offers no coverage or whatsoever but it fills in the pores slightly and it gave the skin a blurry effect. And of course the SPF30 PA+++ protection. If you feel that it’s not enough for you, use a separate sunscreen before using this.

The smell of Invisiblur is citrusy and mushroomy. It’s hard to tell what the smell is. What I can tell you is that it contain the following key ingredients and key features:

• Shitake Mushroom and Mucor Miehei Peptides – to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by improving skin resilience
• Black Currant, Rosemary, Goldenrod, and Peony Root Extracts – to help improve texture and promote youthful-looking skin
• Soft Focus Complex – to hydrates skin and leaves a blurred, matte finish
• Barley, Sunflower and Cucumber Extracts – to help enhance skin’s ability to retain moisture and protect skin against environmental aggressors
• Invisible Sunscreen – provides broad spectrum protection against UV damage
• Non-comedogenic formula
• Suitable for all skin tones

No matter how you choose to apply Invisiblur or with, personally I find that the end result are the same. At least on me. I prefer to apply Invisiblur separately because I’m old school like that . Initially I couldn’t make it to work for me and the flaking freaks me out but after numerous tried and tested, I found out the problem and work my way around it. It works very well for me so far for the past few weeks since I had it and I’m quite happy with it now. The scent definitely takes time of getting used to but nothing serious. I’ve used even worse smelling product than this

Have you heard of the term “no makeup makeup”? No makeup makeup is pretty much self-explanatory but for those who is new to makeup, here’s my interpretation of the term no makeup makeup . No makeup makeup is where the makeup you applied on appear invisible or flawless and yet still flaunt your features and natural beauty. Usually a no makeup makeup look uses less product with mostly natural and light shades. As a matter of fact, I’ve been doing the no makeup makeup look daily for the past two weeks just for fun. Okay, now that you know what is no makeup makeup, this brings me to the product that I want to talk about today – a “no scrub scrub” Yadah Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush.

Let’s face it. Not everyone is born with smooth, flawless skin. I certainly don’t. But I don’t sit and blame for what’s already given to me. I like to search for ways and products to turn things for the better. Skin care had helped me with my skin a lot over the past few years, 3-years to be exact. My pores are easily congest with dirt, sebum/oil, makeup residue and even air pollutant too will cause blockage to the pores. I personally feel sebum and makeup residue is the biggest contributor to my clogged pores. That is why I like to use facial scrub and clay mask A LOT to get rid of congested skin problems such as blackheads and whiteheads.

I used to scrub my face three times in a week because my skin was that bad and I do see a difference when I do keep up with the routine. However as time goes by I notice that my skin is getting oilier. At my age, this can only mean one thing. I over-scrub my face! Holy moly Mother of God. So since end of 2013, I would only use facial scrub once every two weeks but of course that means I will see more blackheads and whiteheads. Then this came along

Introducing the NEW Yadah Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush. It looked like a shaving brush to me at first LOL. But nope. The bristles are thinner than hair and each brush consists of a whopping 350,000 of 0.045mm superfine fibres!

Yadah Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush comes in a palm-fit size, made from a smooth antibacterial hardwood for the handle which is shaped like a slanted tear drop shape with aluminium (I assume) ferrules that holds all the 350,000 superfine fibres bristles. The brush doesn’t came in such a fluffy shape actually. It’s more condensely shaped but once I’ve used it and dries it, the bristles are now in such a cute and fluffy shape. At the tip of the wooden handle, there is a rope for you to hang to dry after use.

I couldn’t stop touching and running my fingers across all the ultra-soft bristles the minute I took out the brush from its original box. I showed it to my mum and dad and both of them literally shocked with the softness that they keep asking me what is it for and why is it so soft .

The reason why the bristles are this superfine is to ensure each bristle are able to cleanse deep into pores effectively to eliminate dirt, makeup residues, blackheads and impurities. The softness of it will also enable a cleaner and silky smooth skin as well as to help reduce pore size. While the bristles lift up all the dirt and so on from deep inside the pores, it is also removing dead skin cells to revive the natural radiance of the skin.

I must admit, it took me quite a few usage to really get the grip of using the Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush to cleanse my face. I’m too used to conventional scrubbing that I wasn’t used to no scrub scrub face cleansing. I kept thinking maybe the cleanser is not enough or there wasn’t any cleanser on my face because I couldn’t feel anything at all. I’m not kidding. It is so soft that it feels like I wasn’t washing my own face. Cleanser foams up effortlessly with the use of this brush and the foams are smoother and finer too. Just one note, there’s no need to use too much cleanser. You’ll spend more time rinsing the brush clean later on

Here’s how I use it. Usually it’s on the whole face but for this review I’m going to just concentrate on the middle of my face because that’s where I have the most blackheads. Plus, the Before and After comparison would be more prominent . For this I would suggest to pair with Yadah Anti-Trouble Bubble Cleanser as it’s a pH-balanced cleanser to maintain the natural acidity and moisture level of the skin while fighting acne break-outs by cleaning deep into the pores and it contain natural salicylic acid from wintergreen leaves to regulate sebum/oil levels and to draw out impurities from pores. If you don’t have any, just pair with any anti-blackhead or deep cleansing cleanser will do.

Please ignore the eczema red patch on my right eyebrow. It’s itchy and I’ve been scratching non-stop lol.

And here’s the Before and After using Yadah Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush for just three times with a week gap between first and second use with third use. I hang the brush to dry in my room that why I’ve forgotten about it.

Notice how much clearer my nose is? Especially the middle part. I must have kept swirling the brush non-stop there

Yadah Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush would be a perfect alternative for dry skin to sensitive skin users that didn’t have the privilege to deep cleansing their skin before this. I do know quite a number of people who doesn’t like to use facial scrub or clay mask with the reason it’s too harsh or it’s too drying for their skin. This brush is a 2-in-1 brush that help to cleanse face as normal and to deep cleansing all the impurities from inside the pores. It is nothing like Clarisonic or Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System or even the latest gadget from Mary Kay. This one uses manual hand movement (good for biceps), mild on the skin and most importantly it works just as claimed. I did went gaga over this brush when I first lay my eyes on it because (1) I’ve never seen any pore cleansing brush before and (2) it’s uber cute.
