Eye care. My favourite subject of all when it comes to skincare. Talika recently unveiled three of its latest new products catering to the eye area – Lipocils Platinum® a day and night serum for the eyelashes, Eyebrow Lipocils Ink a makeup product for the eyebrow and Eye Quintessence®, a day and night eye serum/cream for the eye contour area.

Lipocils Platinum® (RM480, 8.5ml X 2)

Talika’s best-seller Lipocils Expert has gotten a brand new look! When it comes to eyelash growth serum, Talika has more than 60 years of experience in this topic. The previous Lipocils Expert caters to day and night use, now the BRAND NEW Lipocils Platinum comes in two tubes, with a completely separate tube for day and night.

Day Serum
The day serum wand has duo-applicator. The mascara brush to distribute the serum evenly onto each eyelashes strand while the sponge tip is for the eyelash base application to stimulate growth. It has Lipocils Mythical Plant Complex which works to stimulate the growth of eyelashes for length and thickness. Silk Extract on the other hand forms a film to protect the eyelashes from external aggression. Mascara applied on thereafter will be more resistance. In another word, this serum works as mascara base as well.

Night Serum
Same as the day serum, it has Lipocils Mythical Plant Complex which works to stimulate the growth of eyelashes for length and thickness. Red Clover Flower in the serum awakens the eyelashes by shortening their inactivity phase and nudge them to continue the growth phase. As a result, your lashes does not stop growthing and you will have visibly more lashes! It comes with a slim brush tip applicator for the root of the lashes.

Eyebrow Lipocils Ink (RM95, 0.8ml)

Now that we have covered the eyelashes, let’s move to the eyebrow. A perfectly shaped eyebrow requires a good brow product. And of course you got to have the skill too . Talika never stop surprising me. They even come out with Eyebrow Lipocils Ink, a skincare-infused makeup product for the brow.

Besides eyelashes growth, Talika is also known for their expertise in eyebrow growth products. At one glance, this looks like a normal eyebrow product that fills in the blank space. But, this is more than that. Eyebrow Lipocils Ink is a skincare-infused makeup product. It stimulates the growth of eyebrows and redefine the eyebrow line as well.

It contains Mythical Liposourcils Plant Complex to stimulate eyebrow growth, making them thicker, stronger and fills spars eyebrows. Peptide Expert, an anti-aging ingredient in the serum improves the bulb cells quality to promote ‘the anchoring’ of the root, preventing any fall. Coleus gives the brow a natural pigment also stimulates the synthesis of melanin. It comes in two shades but for Malaysia, the shade Brown is more suitable.

As this is more watery, layering on to get the shade and opacity you want is recommended. Once it is on, it stays put. Extremely waterproof and smudgeproof as well so removing with a proper makeup remover is a must.

Eye Quintessence® (RM275, 10ml X 2)

Now this day and night eye serum and cream caught my attention! It is a duo product in a single bottle. Eye Quintessence® is an eye care for the eye contour area. It has serum and cream so that one do not have to choose between a serum and a cream. You get to use both, alternating between day and night.

Protective Day Cream
Remember Photo-Beauty technology for Talika’s first skincare range? The day cream for the eyes also comes with Light + Photo-Beauty Enzyme to help repair altered DNA found in cutaneous cells cause by UV rays. It also works in boosting all cellular functions. Escine in the cream stimulates microcirculations to prevent dark circles and puffiness. Vitamin B3 reduces the forces of dark spots associated with aging and illuminates the eye contour. Weirdly enough, it has something called the Konjac Fibres for hydration to plumps and provide an immediate lifting effect.

Ultra-Concentrated Night Serum
Something new – St. Paul Wort Extract in the night care serum are added to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis, smoothes lines and wrinkles in the crow’s feet. Light + Photo-Beauty Enzyme and Light + Photo-Beauty Hydra helps to repair DNA and improve hydration deep into the heart of the cells for an anti-oxidant action. To protect from aging and external aggressions such as pollution and tobacco, Silk Tree Extract was added in as well.

Have you check out My Day Skincare Routine 2015 post up a few days ago? No? Okay, here’s the link . You know what, thinking back at what a dear friend told me last Friday, seven products is still a lot. She’s right. Seven is a lot . But I do sneakily skip one or two sometimes so it wasn’t that bad for me. I plan to cut down more when I finish off a few more products. I don’t like to waste skincare. I usually finish everything before moving to another new product.

Enough of the babbling, here is My Night Skincare Routine 2015 as promised

Night routine is one product lesser than my Day routine lol. What’s missing here is the weekly treatment products like scrubs, masks and so on. I also don’t include makeup remover in the night routine because I use them in the evening, not night before bed.

Cleanser and toner was the same as Day routine, except that I switched the cleanser to a new cleanser bought from Luxasia warehouse sale a few weeks ago.

Cleanser – Talika Photo-Pure Foaming Cleanser

Talika is famously known for their Lipocils Expert eyelash growth treatment. That was until they launched two series of skincare and later on body care. Last year Talika Malaysia sneakily launched a range of basic skincare products as the existing skincare range only consists of serum and moisturizer. So the basic skincare products will complement to the existing serum and moisturizer. I bought this foaming cleanser on impulsive because it was on super bargain of RM60 for a retail size cleanser, facial scrub and a sheet mask. I have no regret over my impulsive purchase as I’m always into self-foaming cleanser and this does it’s job nicely. The only downside is that each pump only dispense a small amount of foam. I have to pump at least 5-6 times each usage.

Toner – Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion

Ahhh this toner. I want to repeat on how much I like this toner but I’m gonna sound cheesy again heeee! You can refer to this post and this full review post on the toner . In a nutshell, this toner miracle-ly maximizes the entire Crescent White range and other brand products that I decided to slap onto my face.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

Some call this toner, some call this pre-serum, some call this miracle water but actually it’s an essence. An essence that has the texture and consistency of a toner. I used to use this in replacement of toner and there was no different with my skin. Then I realized that a toner is suppose to be used before this FTE in order to ‘bring out the best’ of the product. In fact Facial Treatment Clear Lotion is highly recommended as this two product work so much better hand in hand. I used it after Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion and it a good combination for me. Try it!

Eye Cream – SK-II STEMPOWER Eye Cream

Sometimes I amaze myself for the ability to make a dent into a product so fast. This STEMPOWER Eye Cream and Magnetic Wand is my current obsession. I really hate those fine lines on my under eye and I’m willing to try anything to reduce the appearance. The fact that the magnetic strip on the Magnetic Wand is able to deliver 3x more key ingredient in STEMPOWER Eye Cream is already enough to motivate me in using it diligently.

Essence – Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum

I’m a firm believer in pushing all the good skincare in the night routine because our skin repairs itself when we sleep. I use a full dropper amount of Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum when I’m not using Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream. When I do intend to use Innisfree moisturizer, I would skip Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum altogether. Meaning, I would only use one anti-aging at one time as a part of my initiative to reduce the number of skincare products.

Moisturizer – Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Créme

My most favourite night moisturizer has got to be the Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Créme. This one I GO GENEROUS because I really do want to get rid of all the spot marks. So far it has been working well, slowly but gradually reducing the marks. This 50ml jar can last for a good few months on average use. I say it’s quite worth the money. Once or twice a week, I will switch to an anti-aging moisturizer – Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream

As much as I love my Estée Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Créme, I knew that I have neglected my anti-aging routine. I don’t really need it but I like to do prevention. This Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream is a cream-gel moisturizer that melts to essence-like consistency and it is able to moisture my skin at the same time. That is why you will notice that I don’t have any hydrating products for night routine. I have to be really careful with the amount of product for this moisturizer because if I go generous with it, it gave me a pimple or two the next morning. The intense version is even worse lol.

That’s my Night Skincare Routine at the moment. Not as dramatic as what I posted in 2012 or what I’ve used in 2013 through 2014. The products are pretty similar for Day and Night routine, the only changes are the cleanser and moisturizer. If you notice, my main product range is brightening. It helps to brighten my complexion, which could go dull if left unattended and lighten all the unnecessary marks.

What’s next? My weekly treatment products update . Have a great Monday ahead! I know mine is not going to be good.

I wasn’t a blogger back in the days where the past Talika Light Duo existed. So something as high tech as this Talika Light DUO+ home treatment device is new to me.

Talika Light DUO+ is the first complete rejuvenation program that was inspired by aerospace technology. How Talika Light DUO+ works?

Light DUO+ works against aging skin by restoring the skin’s “self-defence” weapons. It sends messages to the cell, which help to reactivate its original “intelligence”. The cell is therefore fully recharged with life and energy.

Talika Light DUO+ works in three ways with three different wavelength. Each wavelength is absorbed by the skin and reaches different layers of cells as well as blood capillaries. Light beam from Light DUO+ will then penetrates the skin in order to reach the cells found in the various layers of the epidermis. Light DUO+’s wavelengths will be regulating several epidermal and dermal cells.

• 525 nm Wavelength (Skin Lightener / Anti-dark Spots) – Targets the Epidermis of the skin to regulate melanin production by using Light DUO+ for 2-minutes a day. In 60 days of usage, dark spots will be reduced by 46%.
• 590 nm Wavelength (Anti-Wrinkle) – Targets the Middle Dermis of the skin to reactivates collagen and elastin synthesis. Use for 45 seconds per day and in 28 days, wrinkles will be reduced by 32%.
• 660nm Wavelength (Anti-Redness / Soothing) – Targets the Deep Dermis for reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokine production. It is recommended to use for 1-min per day. Users will see a 66% reduction in redness instantly!

I am surprised with how intelligent Light DUO+ is. The device is on stand by when it did not detect any contact with the skin. Once you touch it the “Talika” logo will light up. This device is equipped with avant-garde “zero-button” technology and a vibrating recognition system. Users can choose which treatment they want and the bottom color light will turn on. Press another button to start the treatment, placed directly on the skin after applying skin care and the timer will be activated. The device vibrates when the treatment started and stop when the time is up. So when you sense that the vibrating stops, simply just place the device onto another area of your face and the timer will start again.

Remember I said that I hope there’s one media coverage for Street Love for 2014? The opportunity came last month when Talika approached me to be a part of their user testimonial team for Light DUO+ consisting of three different background users. This golden opportunity will include testimonial sharing during the media event, magazine appearances and one or two more which I cannot remember. However I have to turn it down because to be honest I did not have any prominent anti-aging symptoms on my face except for fine lines under my eyes and laughing lines.
