Yesterday was happy hour night. Gosh, I can’t remember when was the last time I went out for a drink. I’m more of a coffee person rather anything alcohol for various reasons, especially after I was on clean eating and a healthier lifestyle. My running/coffee buddy said he would want a change so off to drinking we went! I texted my friend in the afternoon saying we should do an OOTD shoot at the beautiful rooftop we found last week coffee meet.

I bought a sleek high-waisted shorts a day ago at H&M. It was buy 2 get 1 free currently so I needed to get the 3rd item. Usually I would rather spend on dresses. Unfortunately there aren’t much choices left at H&M. I bought 2 dresses and this shorts is a free item! At first I saw size 4. I’m usually in between size 4 to 6. For pants, hmmm don’t think so size 4 would fit me. I roamed around and found another piece at size 6. I tried it out and it fits me nicely. The shorts is suppose to be loose fitting and kinda baggy so I’m not so concern about it being huge. The waistline of the shorts makes my waist looked so small LOL. Major love for this piece seriously.

Just when I was about to leave the house, I changed the lace spaghetti top to this Uniqlo Supima white T-shirt. I have 3 of these in round neck and V-neck because it is my most favourite piece to wear with everything. And of course I have to stick with the monochrome theme and wore my lace beaded necklace piece.

A pop of color

I had envision this look the entire day yesterday. A red heels to go with the monochrome outfit. A pop of color, I say. It turns out quite nice. Matchy match with a petite crossbody party bag. Perfect outfit for a night out

This outfit (except for the denim jacket) is probably the most asked about. I wore it for my Gaston Luga Pråper backpack photos and I didn’t expect the outcome to be this interesting.

The main star of the outfit is definitely the colorful shinny spaghetti top from Zara Trafaluc Spring/Summer 2017 collection. I knew this type of top is not everybody’s taste but it caught my eyes and I love it. Bought it in a single heart beat

This piece is extremely fragile. The entire top can be rip off easily so wearing it out definitely gives me a lot of stress LOL. It is 100% transparent and thin so I don’t think it is meant to be worn as it is. I like to call it a “T-shirt topper” as this was what goes through my mind when I saw it. I was right. It goes beautifully over a plain white body fitting T-shirt. The same top combination can be worn over jeans, skinny jeans, a plain tights, short skirt, tight fitting pencil skirt, jeans skirt or shorts even. Literally anything at all.

Mum has been asking me to bring her for shopping as I seldom bring her out for shopping anymore due to my recent busy schedule on weekend. So yesterday I took some time off from everything and off we go!

Destination – 1 Utama. This is the loot that I came home with. We shop from 10am to 1pm

As it’s my birthday month I use my 30% discount birthday card from Padini to get a few pairs of shoe. I don’t care if you are a Charles & Keith lover and that you think Vincci is a cheapo brand but for me I’ve been wearing them since high school and I’m not going to stop buying them. They made good and nice flats. I’m very much into flats now.

There are a few flats on promotion such as RM80 for 2 pairs. I had my eyes on the holey colorful peep toe flats as soon as I walked in. Settled with a red and blue although I like the brown as well. I was thinking to get all 4 colors LOL. I went with 30% discount on original price of RM49 per pair as it’s much more cheaper than RM80 promo. I saw a black and white pump which resemble oxford pump but unfortunately the heel at the back had a deep scratch and it’s the last pair. So I got the black one for RM89 before discount although there’s a few light scratches on the heel and it’s the last pair too :(. My last pair would be this rope cotton flower high heels for RM109. You should see the shoe from the side. It’s gorgeous. For every RM60 purchase I was given a canvas bag. With my total purchase of RM207.20 (RM88.80 saving) I was given 3 canvas bags.

I walked in to Uniqlo to get a pink baby tee for next week’s Estee Lauder Breast Cancer Awareness illumination event. This is only RM39.90. Super comfy.

Also bought some random stationery from Jusco. Bubble wrap RM4.90, big adhesive tape RM2.50 and small Loytape RM1.40 each.

I went hunting for a retractable lip brush and bought one from Watsons for RM18.90. I also use my L’Occitane RM20 birthday voucher to get a Shea Butter Hand Cream. I don’t have anything to buy at all can you believe it. The hand cream was RM38. I was given a 5% discount which makes the total RM36.10. I only paid RM16.10 after deducting the RM20 birthday voucher

Another big haul of the day is from Daiso. I bought a board as photo background prop, a pack of protection sheet to wrap all the products in blog sales, a huge pack of paper hand towel for the office, a bottle of sponge cleanser, a bottle of detergent for women, a 30ml vacuum essence bottle (tips post coming soon), a pack of Little Twin Stars clear bag, a pack of Hello Kitty plastic bag, a pack of smaller Little Twin Stars clear bag and a pack of floral paper bag.

Although yesterday’s shopping wasn’t a beauty shopping but I had fun especially at Daiso. I sort of went crazy with those Hello Kitty and Little Twin Stars clear bags that I need to put back some.

Happy Easter Day!

Today is my weekly KLCC shopping trip and I woke up feeling extremely happy for no reason. Maybe because I’ve been having migrain for the past 3 days and I couldn’t do anything much. Which explain why I didn’t blog yesterday.

I always wanted to check out buy Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder but I always always forget to drop by their counter! Today I walked in Isetan cosmetic floor, exited and realized I need to go Guerlain so I walked back in lol. It was a good day today as I managed to find what I wanted. This is what I came home with.

My main haul is of course Guerlain. I was introduced to Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder in Pearly White by the friendly BA; Irene. It’s more shimmering and illuminating than the others but I don’t like it as I’d prefer colorful powder balls. I was told by the BA that there’s a value set which consists of Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder #02 Teint Beige 30g (retail price RM181) with Guerlain Météorites Perles Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer 30ml (retail price RM222) for RM299 and I immediately wanted it. I wanted to purchase Estee Lauder’s makeup base in the next couple of weeks but this sounds too good to pass.

I was also given a handful of trial size samples to try. I’ve gotten Guerlain Noir G Exceptional Complete Mascara 3.5g, 2 Guerlain Secret de Pureté Cleansing Milk 15ml, Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Longevity Concentrate 3ml, 2 sachets of Guerlain Abeille Royale Youth Serum 2ml and Guerlain Abeille Royale Day Cream sachet 2ml.

I dropped by Kinokuniya to collect my reservation magazine for CanCam May 2012 issue which comes with a Coach scrunchie and satin pouch. Detail review next week!

I also picked up a copy of Malaysian Women’s Weekly April 2012 issue. This is one of the local magazine which I’d pick up regardless with or without freebies. I won quite a few contest from this magazine before

Finally an unexpected purchase from Uniqlo. I’ve been in the look out for a pashmina / scarf with button but to no avail. I thought Zara have it but they don’t. Gave up searching a year ago and a casual stroll at Uniqlo this morning seems fruitful. I saw the scarf I wanted but it’s very pricey! It’s retailing at RM79.90 *faint* and I really spend my sweet time choosing the color I want. There’s black, pink, beige and pale blue. I finally settle with this pale blue although initially I wanted the pink. Black is always my first choice but I don’t want another black piece in my wardrobe so pale blue it is!
