This week I’m craving for macarons. Les Deux Garcons macarons is what I wanted to buy badly but due to the hard-to-find parking at Bangsar, I’ve found a great place to ease my craving thanks to the trusty Mr. Google. And let me tell you this is the only place where you can get giant macarons!
I made my way to Delectable located at The Gardens on Tuesday during lunch time to get macarons for lunch. Never had macaron as lunch but hey why not?
I could recognize Delectable from the signature sign board and cream color shop front from far. I like what I see. It’s just where I want to be at that time. I feel warm and cozy. And I was giggling in heart like a small girl.
I’ve never been to their shop before so I was trying to locate the macarons. So I asked the lovely lady inside the shop and she said it’s right at the side. Oh silly me. It’s at the far end of the shop which I didn’t notice as I came from the other end.
These Giant Macarons is selling for RM10 per piece. Each piece comes in a acrylic box with signature ribbon finishing. There’s 5 flavors available namely Vanilla, Lime Raspberry, Peanut Butter, Caramel Latte and Salted Chocolate.
There’s also a popcorn cart at the middle of the shop right at the mall walkway!
Besides macarons, cakes, cupcakes and Delectable premiums, there’s also varieties of cookies on sale.
Happinutts (RM15) – Hand-roasted caramel cashews with sea salt sprinkles.
Cappucino Cookies (RM20) – Chocolate chip cappuccino macadamia.
Butter Buttons (RM20)
Sesame Freckles (RM20)
Pineapple Tarts (RM20) – Doesn’t need any introduction!
Chocolate Golden Cup Cookies (RM20)
Merry Men Cinnamon Sugar / Raisin Orange (RM15)
I wanted just to buy one giant macaron but somehow ended up with two. I even grabbed a jar of Coffee Meringue for RM15 which I totally forgotten to took a picture.
The nice lady at Delectable put all my purchases in a cute paper bag for me to take away.
Here’s the sweet treats.
I bought Lime Raspberry and Caramel Latte Giant Macarons. Will get the others to try soon.
Lime Raspberry macaron color is a dark pink with a touch of gold leaf on top. I’ve always adore raspberry as desert therefore this is my first choice for macaron. Lime Raspberry taste just like what the name suggest. It’s sour and sweet at the same time. The filling is too thin for a giant macaron IMHO. I wish it’s more. And it’s too sweet. I would suggest to go more light handed with the sugar. The outer layer is crispy while the inside is soft. I can’t finish a whole macaron alone so I shared it with my dad.
The second macaron that I’ve gotten is Caramel Latte. Being a coffee lover this is absolutely a must-try. Also too sweet with thin filling. But it’s good. I wonder how does this taste like with a hot cup of latte eh?
I’m also getting excited over these Coffee Meringue. Yes it’s coffee flavor again. If giant macarons is too sweet for your liking, let me warn you in advance. This is even more sweeter. I’ve never try other meringue cookie before so I can’t judge if this is really suppose to be this sweet or Delectable one are sweeter. I really love this. So is my dad! But just too sweet 🙁
Just look at how cute it is.
Have you tried any treats from Delectable before? Which is your favorite or that I should try?

Yeah they have really cute and nice stuffs there 🙂 Salted chocolate sounds exotic.
I heard it’s good too
My giant macaron spoil, should have eaten it on last Friday itself :(((
I eaten on Saturday haha! I chuck it into the fridge as soon as I reach home. Delectable by Su macaron is quite nice. The one we got from Spotlight taste better and less sweet comparing to the first time I bought it. But still too sweet for my liking. They should go easy on the sugar lol
