I was extremely excited to be invited by Guerlain Malaysia to join their Bloggers Get-Together event with Maxime Poulin who works and trained directly under Guerlain’s Creative Director, Olivier Echaudemaison. As you all know, I’m totally into Guerlain makeup and skin care. So you can imagine how excited I am to be invited! This is an exclusive event for bloggers whereas Maxime will showcase the right make-up application using the latest summer collection, Terra Azzurra.

The event is held at Alexis Bistro, The Gardens Mid Valley at 11am. I took too much time doing my makeup at home so by the time I reached it was already 11.05am. As Guerlain’s latest Emilio Pucci collection is in blue, I wore my blue one-piece dress from Forever 21 to go along with the theme.

There’s also makeover tables full with varities of Orchidée Impériale skin care to prep the skin before makeup and Terra Azzurra By Emilio Pucci Limited Edition collections which include one of their best-seller Terra Azzurra Bronzing Powder & Blush.

I saw how retro-feel is the mirror behind me so I took a picture!

After arriving slightly late and apologizing, I registered and make my way to the seat available. And I was seating next to Corinne of Junipers Journal!

The whole of Alexis Bistro is beautifully set up which include a Guerlain’s Terra Azzurra backdrop.

Karen Tan; Product Manager of Guerlain gave a welcome speech and introducing Maxime Poulin to us before Maxime took over the event.

Firstly Maxime introduce us to Orchidée Impériale skin care range and he explained to us thorough all the unique ingredients, how it’s made and the benefits. Then Maxime prep the model of the day’s skin with Orchidée Impériale Cream.

Next Maxime follow up prepping of the skin with Orchidée Impériale Eye and Lip Cream on the model’s eye and lip area. I’m particularly very interested with this cream! I’ve seen make up remover for eyes and lip but never a cream. Lastly Maxime use Orchidée Impériale Longevity Concentrate to finish off.

To start of the makeup demonstration, Maxime uses a foundation brush to apply liquid foundation all over model’s face.

Here comes my favorite part. Maxime set the foundation using Météorites Perles D’Azur Illuminating Powder. The Perles d’Azur are being enriched with a corrective blue pearl and beautifully adapt to the demands of the sun. With it’s three targeted and instant benefits to create a summer glow, thanks to the combination of six colours that even out and correct every skin tone, with a de rigueur ultra-luminous and delicately translucent result.

Here is my second favorite part. Maxime uses the bronzer from Terra Azzurra Bronzing Powder & Blush on model’s cheek bone, jawline and neckline to create a more define look. The he blend the three blusher shades and sweep along the top of the cheekbones as a blusher and to sculpt the face.

Next is Khôl Kajal in Blu Acqua to create a thick line along the upper lash as well as lower eye lashes to enchance the eye lines.

As there’s only one shade or one palette available under Emilio Pucci collection, Maxime uses the beautiful Écrin 4 Couleurs Eye Shadow Palette in Capri on the model. Capri is a combination of coral, pink, white and brown. This is a warm tone palette which you could use or build accordingly to you own preference.

Maxime uses my favorite mascara which is also the one I’m currently using. Noir G de Guerlain is the first refillable mascara with integrated mirror! This is not waterproof but it’s water resistant. Eventhough so I experience no smudging at all using this myself.

Look at Maxime’s excited face when he introduce us to Rouge Automatique lipstick! Using this lipstick is as simple as sliding the slider button down and the lipstick will imerge up. There’s no cap removing and twisting at all. I’m liking the technology already.

After applying Rouge Automatique lipstick on the model’s lips, Maxime top it off with Terracota Gloss to light up the lips with more shine.

Here’s the finishing look. Sorry for the awkward lighting on the model’s face. She really does looks good!

We were served yummy finger food and thirst quenching drink after the makeup demonstration. Some bloggers had a make over themself trying out the new collection while I do some catching up with blogger and Sue Lyn from Guerlain. When I was about to leave I was handed a press kit and a small cute Guerlain bag. Love the Écrin 4 Couleurs Eye Shadow Palette #03 Les Verts and Shine Automatique #260 Jardin De Bagatelle. The color is so me. Guerlain also include a RM50 rebate voucher for RM200 purchase. So thoughtful of them 🙂
