It took me a while to write this review although the pictures had been taken months ago. I couldn’t think of a way to pen down this nicely and when I said that I guess you’ve figured out that I don’t like this blusher at all.
There’s a story on how I’ve gotten this Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Powder Blush #B2 Rosy Beige (RM40). I went to Isetan Anniversary Sales last year October 2011. I bought a Shiseido mascara but returned it the next day as I found that the mascara has all dried up when I check the stuff I bought at home. I was excited about the mascara but looks like I’m not in luck. The mascara is all sold out so I couldn’t exchange for another one. At first the sales girl wouldn’t let me exchange as it’s sales item. I got upset with them cause I spent RM40 for a dried mascara and I couldn’t exchange it?? What is that? The sales girl then went to the person in charge to double confirm on exchange and she came back telling me to choose another item as exchange. I finally chose this blush as the price is the same.
Shiseido is not a stranger in beauty world. I’ve heard and read lots of good reviews especially their skin care and some of the makeup. So you can tell how excited I am to have a blusher from the brand.
At first I thought the case of the blusher is a bit “old” due to the 2-tone color. One glance I saw a seashell shape for the casing. The case is made of hard plastic. I’ve dropped this several time and it’s still in good condition. That’s the quality you can be assure from Shiseido. I’m not sure if they still have the same blusher now. I do hope they’ve changed the design!
The shade I chose is Rosy Beige. The product is at 6.5g. Looked pretty little on the pan but I’ve been using this a lot and I still didn’t make a big dent on it.
Now. Here’s the bad news. The color payoff is poor. I swatched several time on the back on my hand so hard that I couldn’t get the color visible. Only got a “hint” of it.
If you’ve guessed it right…the color payoff on my face is even worse. I couldn’t get the color on and visible for the camera so I applied it over the apple of my cheek hoping I could capture the color. God knows how many time I ran my brush over my cheek and the color is still not visible. I gave up. Here’s a picture of me with a “hint” of the blusher on.
Normally the blusher would be gone in a few hours after I did my makeup. It looked sweet and subtle after applying but unfortunately it doesn’t stay :(. If you notice in my previous reviews I kept mentioning my blusher is gone…I was actually talking about this blusher from Shiseido. Love the natural subtle color, hate the color payoff and longevity of it.
Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Powder Blush #B2 Rosy Beige is bought from Isetan Anniversary Sales so I’m not sure if it’s still available now.
Price: RM40 (sales price) for 6.5g
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored review. I bought the product on my own.

Maybe you can try put on a lil bit of cream blush first. That’s what I did for my sheer blush 😉
Great tips! Thanks. I personally like simplicity when it comes to blusher. I tried avoiding sheer blush hehe.
