Recently Burberry Beauty introduces the latest Vintage Gold Holiday Collection for 2012. This collection is already available at Burberry Beauty counter in Isetan KLCC and I was invited over to check out the collection up close and personal. Even with skin allergy on how can I resist Burberry Beauty? It’s one of my favorite makeup brand. Even till now I’m still reluctant to swatch the pretty blusher and compact foundation that I bought previously (read here). Help! Perhaps I can get another set so I can use the first set and keep a set? What do you think? 🙂

Burberry Beauty Vintage Gold 2012 Holiday Collection includes a limited edition Burberry Beauty Charm, limited edition festive shade of Burberry Beauty Lip Glow (1 shade), and the new effortless Complete Eye Palette (6 different palette shade).

It’s good to know that Burberry Beauty Malaysia also brought in the new effortless Complete Eye Palette (RM205). This eye palette is the first 4-color palette for Burberry. If you are a follower of Burberry Beauty you’d know that Burberry only have single color eyeshadow. Now we have a 4-color palette which is much more attractive for someone who like to play with various colors for eye makeup like me :).

Burberry Beauty Complete Eye Palette comes in 6 different shade combination palette from pale nude to darker shades namely Smokey Grey No.01, Mocha No.02, Pale Nude No.03, Dark Spice No.05, Plum Pink No.06, Pink Taupe No.07. Each palette comes in a black velvet pouch with the iconic Burberry check print on and also comes with not one but THREE applicator! The case is none other than the sleek gunmetal compact with magnetic lid which also feature Burberry iconic check.

Although I seldom do swatch at the counter, this time I decided to swatch each color and each palette for you. I think these are lovely palette with sheer but buildable finish payoff. The formula of the eye shadow contains micronised satin smooth pigments for long-lasting vibrant color. It is lightweight, natural formula for a customisable smokey finish. Each palette contains an illuminating base, two blendable shades to add structure, and a liner to define and enrich.

In this holiday collection there is only one festive shade lip gloss in to the collection.

Burberry Lips Lip Glow – Vintage Gold No.18 Limited Edition (RM89) is a beautiful bronzy with a slight goldie shade which is makes a good match to your Christmas mood or makeup. You can wear Vintage Gold on its own for understated luminosity, or over Burberry Beauty Lip Cover for that added glitz and oomph. Personally I find it absolutely gorgeous to wear it over lipstick.

My most favorite edition in this Vintage Gold Holiday Collection would be the Limited Edition Burberry Beauty Charm.

Limited Edition Burberry Beauty Charm Cameo Pink No.01 (RM330) is such a charmer! If you remember last year Burberry Beauty had a charm too but it’s with 3-cubes. It was nice and heavy. Not bad I would say. This year is much much more nicer as it comes with an elegant tasseled gunmetal charm that was inspired by the brand’s accessories collections. Very Burberry I would say heh! In addition to that the charm also feature a solid Burberry Beauty Lip Glow in a glossy pink nude shade to complement any festive look. Cameo Pink is my first lip cover shade from Burberry. Good to know this charm also feature Cameo Pink 🙂

You can purchase this for RM330 BUT. If you purchase Burberry Beauty product for RM500 and above you’d get this for free! Do the math. So worthy. Now you know why at the beginning of this post I mentioned of getting another Compact Foundation and Blusher to keep eh?

As I had major peeling happening on my face plus it’s super sensitive to be touched, Jazz Reen kindly volunteer to be the model for us to snap away!

Adrian started the eye makeover with removing Jazz Reen’s existing eye makeup that she had on earlier.

It’s always a pleasure to meet and learn a trick or two (or ten) from Adrian – Burberry Beauty Trainer. After removing Jazz Reen existing eye makeup Adrian introduces the new Complete Eye Palette and how to use all 4-colors in a single look.

Start by applying Eye Definer – Midnight Black No.01 on the lid (left pic) as the base and blend slightly upward using a Definition Liner Brush No.10 (right pic) which is a pointed smudge brush. Smudge the liner so that it doesn’t look harsh.

In this look Adrian used Burberry Eyes Complete Eye Palette Plum Pink No.06.

Start by applying the lightest shade in the upper corner of the Complete Eye Palette and work down (left pic). Sweep the lightest shade over the entire eyelid to create a luminous base, blending from the lashline to the browbone, and the inner and outer corners of the eye.

Then apply the second lightest shade along the socket line to define the eye, from the outer to the inner corner of the eye (right pic). For more intensity, apply the third, deeper shade to the outer corner of the eye socket and blend, building up the color to a festive effect.

Use the darkest shade along the upper lashline as eyeliner, blending along the lashes to the outer corners to define the eyes (left pic). Then apply the same Eye Definer – Midnight Black No.01 as above to the lower lashline and blend lightly using Definition Liner Brush No.10 (right pic).

Apply Effortless Mascara – Midnight Black No.01 to upper and lower eye lashes (left pic). Adrian gave us a tip that day on cleaning makeup residue fall and at the same time to conceal dark circle. He suggested that we can use a Sheer Concealer on the lower eye area (right pic). This will 1) remove any makeup residue swiftly and neatly without dirtying the face and 2) to conceal and cover dark circle at the same time. Brilliant idea! Why didn’t I think of this before? LOL.

Here is the finish right eye makeup look. But we’re not done yet. This only half face done. There’s another half to go haha.

Adrian finishes the eye makeup with the remaining left side before moving on to the lips.

Lastly Adrian apply Burberry Lips Lip Glow – Vintage Gold No.18 Limited Edition on Jazz Reen’s lips on it’s own to complete the overall festive look using the latest Vintage Gold 2012 Holiday Collection.
