The one beauty box that I was anticipating patiently everyday for the past 2 weeks is Vanity Trove. I loveeee their debut box which I think they did a great job so the expectation for the next following box is definitely higher.

“Valerie” has been hinting in their Facebook page on Kanebo and Asian Potions in the March trove making me go oouuu aaahhh but I still have no idea when they will be sending out the box until I was informed that they had sent out on Monday then the real wait had started. My trove was sent to my house while I’m at work. Thanks to friends in Facebook and Instagram I finally get a sneak peek. Boy was I disappointed. I can’t help but to keep asking to myself if that’s it?

Here is March 2013 trove.

Never like this brand. Bio-Essence Bird’s Nest Bio-Energy Firm & Brighten Eye Cream 3ml

Not sure if this is a bonus or what cause it’s not stated in the product description card. As much hate I have for Bio-Essence I’m still thankful that Vanity Trove include an extra.

I kinda like the product description card this month. It’s simple and easy to understand. But I couldn’t understand the link between the content with the theme “Temptress Seduction”. Perhaps VT could look into this matter for future trove.

What I Like
Great customer service as usual from Vanity Trove representative. So far no email reply was delayed. Delivery by Kangaroo Worldwide Express courier is also prompt. I received the trove the next day after delivery. I like the new brands that was introduced in the box such as Asian Potions, Timeless Truth mask series and Etre Belle. Those are brands and products which I never heard and try before. Always like to explore new products!
I was pleased to see Kanebo Lunasol in the box as it’s one of the high end counter brands.

What I Don’t Like
Despite having good compilation of brands in the trove I am disappointed that it’s all sample size. I think of all reviews I read last month everyone kept going on about not getting a full size and I’m the only one who said I don’t mind if there’s no full size. I still reserve the same stand – full size or not doesn’t matter. I just hope to at least get deluxe sizes that are 15ml and above. I also notice that the troves was sent out later and later. I’m starting to lost track on the timeline.

Conclusion
To be fair I know Vanity Trove is trying their best to bring in more and more brands to introduce to their subscribers. In terms of that they did a good job. What they need to step up is the persuasion to the sponsors to upsize the product size. With that the trove would look fuller and nicer. Vanity Trove also need to realize that they are priced at RM60 so including sample (sachet, 2ml, 5ml etc) is not acceptable. If cannot get full size, deluxe sizes is also okay as a start and slowly build from there. Armed with a good previous box on hand other sponsors would want to be included to the trove automatically!
