Last Saturday’s Dove blogger event was the earliest in my event history as it was scheduled at 9am. No problem for me as I’m used to waking up early despite waking up to a migrain because I couldn’t sleep well lately :(.

Rather than the usual mall concourse, hotel ballroom, counter launch venue that I’m used to attending, the event this time was held at a beautiful, luxury environment of Mont Kiara – The Food Studio at Amarin Kiara. That’s right. It is a center that offers a variety of culinary events and private cooking classes which means I’ll be cooking!

This is one event that focus more on giving us a good time and experience on a beautiful Saturday morning rather than injecting us with product A-Z so I will be writing more on the event itself this time round as I want to note this experience down for remembrance 🙂

The intimate event was hosted by the beautiful and lovely Chermaine Poo. Chermaine is not a stranger as I’ve seen her hosted quite a number of automotive events before. It was good to see her again at Dove event.

After a short introduction by Chermaine, we were introduced to two representative from Dove. John Goh Yeng Kiat, R&D Deploy Manager Home & Personal Care and R&D Site Leader, Unilever (M) Sdn Bhd [left] and Tanya Teng, Brand Manager, Skin Cleansing, Unilever (M) Sdn Bhd [right].

Ms. Tanya said that Dove has continuously led innovations in the skin care industry and the introduction of NutriumMoisture™ technology continues that tradition. She also added that they are thrilled their extensive research and testing has allowed them to be the first brand to minimize lipid damage with a liquid cleanser in order to provide a long-term beauty benefits that strengthen and smooth skin.

In the special presentation on NutriumMoisture™ technology, the human skin and how we can achieve a more beautiful hydrated and smooth skin, Mr. John said that by absorbing into the skin Dove NutriumMoisture™ helps rebuild skin’s beauty from the inside of the epidermis layer to make it feel more beautiful on the outside. The new technology delivers hydration for skin barrier components and processes to help skin remain healthy and beautiful in the longterm when used daily. He also added that this technology represents an important change in the body cleansing paradigm. Body wash products have only tried to mask dry skin damage rather than effectively address it. By targeting skin directly where damage occurs (within the surface layer), NutriumMoisture technology helps build a foundation for the stratum corneum to become stronger and the skin smoother.

After the in-depth presentation by Mr. John Goh we are lucky that we get to witness with our own eyes on how the new Dove® Body Wash with NutriumMoisture™ gives higher level of moisture, absorption and mildness than skin cleansed with milk. During the demo I can even smell the body wash from far!

Then it was time to cook for lunch! This is Chef Paul P. Neukirch. Chef Paul will be teaching all of us how to cook good, delicious food that are good for the body and skin as well.

All of us are divided into three group – Appetiser, Main Course and Dessert. I am in dessert group thank goodness cause I sure do love dessert :D. My team will be making Pandan Pannacotta with Mangoes.

My task was pretty simply. To peel and dice the mangoes. I took care of two mangoes while Illy helped with the other one. The only thing that I was afraid of is the knife as Chef Paul reminded us that those knifes are very sharp. So I wasn’t talking while using the knife.

Okay lah. Comparing with other group mine looked simple but it’s as delicious as the Appetiser and Main Course. The recipe for all three dishes are simple but yet taste good and look good.
