Just when I was anxiously waiting for my June 2013 bag I have this feeling that I might have forgotten about something. Then it hit me. I have totally forgotten to post up the review on May 2013 bag!! Gosh. I’m so fashionably late :P. Sorry didn’t mean it. Just couldn’t remember so many things as the past few months had been a busy month for me with work.
I subscribed to this edition all thanks to the irresistible sneak peek posted by MiMi on Facebook. My bag was special hand delivered by MiMi herself because I think she was around my office and the fact that we both know AirPak will never send my parcel to me. So pity right? AirPak center is just down the road but they are too lazy to send the parcel to me. Sigh. Anyway…here is the content for “Best of Beauty”. I guess you already seen countless review on this before 🙂
The main and full size product in this May bag is Dove Beauty Nourishing Body Wash with NutriumMoisture™ 200ml worth RM6.90. If you have read about my recent post about Dove body wash, you should know that this body wash is new in the market. What makes this body wash different from the previous version is the one and only NutriumMoisture™ technology that no other body wash has.
Another full size included is Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow Hand Therapy 25g worth RM30. This is actually not full size full size as full size in the store is either 50g or 100g. This 25g is for sale in a set or as GWP given out with certain purchase amount. Can we still consider this as full size? I suppose we can since it’s on sale at the store right? 🙂
Somerset Meadow is the latest range for Crabtree & Evelyn which was launched not long ago. I was really happy to see this new hand therapy range pop out in this bag.
Also included is Lavender Body Lotion 5ml sachet pack and a 20% off on toiletries products only voucher which is expiring this 30th June 2013. Both of this is not written on the description card so I assume it is a bonus.
Who doesn’t love Kerastase? Thanks to all the various trial size from beauty boxes, I have since purchase full size and now using Kerastase hair care range. I think I am more excited to see this in the bag more than anything else despite the small size of it.
Kerastase Bain Oléo-Relax Smoothing Shampoo 30ml is meant for dry and rebellious hair. There is also something extra included in the bag which is not stated on the card as well which is 2 sachet of Kerastase Masque Oléo-Relax 15ml each.
Ahh Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum (7 capsules). Phew! What a mouthful name. I have used this before though. Although the after-effect is not bad but I just can’t stand the smell. It smell terribly awful! No matter how many times I use it I still can’t get used to the scent at all. These capsules are not cheap though. The full size is retailing at RM320. One thing that I like is that the serum comes in capsule. There is this sense of assurance that you get “fresh” serum every usage :).
It always makes me happy whenever I spot fragrance vial in beauty box or bag. This time I didn’t get one but TWO – Calvin Klein Eternity EDP 1.2ml and Eternity for Men EDT 1.2ml. I have given the Eternity for Men to my brother and let’s just say he like the scent and that he will purchase a full size!
There is a special promo going on “Purchase Calvin Klein Eternity for Men EDT 50ml at RM119 (NP: RM209, 43% saving) with any purchase of Calvin Klein fragrances or bath lines”. Quite a good deal 🙂
I am not into mani or pedi but recently I am feeling a bit adventurous that I went all the way out to claim certain beauty boxes complimentary voucher. I thought this is expiring 30th June 2013 but seems like it’s expiring 30th July 2013! I am so going to have my nails done with this voucher hehehe.
So, what do I think about this “Best of Beauty” edition? I like the product selection, the new in market products, it’s really heavy and full in the bag and I love this edition very very much. One thing I notice about MiMi is that she is able to get newly launched product in her bag which is quite rare among the beauty boxes available. You will be able to see Cremorlab in June edition which is a new brand from Korea sold exclusively at MUSE by Watsons.
I think I have not touch on the bag yet. All I can say is its improving. I never like their debut bag and I like their eco bag, which is the total opposite liking than what I have read online. This one is the best of all three as its much bigger, sturdier with thicker material and spacious. It feels velvety soft on hand too.
The only thing MiMi need to improve on is the courier service. It is absolutely a pain in the *tut* to deal with them. For 2 weeks they will just keep my parcel in the center and refuse to send to me eventhough I called everyday to chase for delivery. They only send out when I complaint to the GM! I do hope she change the courier otherwise I will not be able to subscribe anymore. I don’t pay to get frustrated and heart attack. That’s just a waste of time to be frustrated over this.

that elizabeth arden ceramide capsules made my friend glows! like seriously glowing in even smooth skin!!! lol. it is funny because she first tried it when she steal her mum’s stock haha…

My nose detected fishy scent but most people said it’s Vitamin E smell. Either way I don’t like it 🙁
Def the best bag among all eh.. The bag material is so good to touch.. And this bag zip is tougher than the other too which make it a quality bag… Cant wait for the coming bag….
Agree :). I like 2nd bag a lot too hehe. I subscribed for June bag with my home address cause I thought MiMi changed courier since she said she’s changing from June bag onwards but still AirPak :(. It’s going to be another war with AirPak again cause I still haven’t receive my bag yet. Sigh. Need to chase from tomorrow onwards. So boring.
I like third “bag” but i like 2nd bag content! The 4th bag will be my first encounter with airpak! My other bag are all hand delivered! And that capsule does give a outstanding result event only few seconds on on my face because i wash it off the moment the scent kick off in a super strong fishy smell! I just cant stand it! Lol…
Most area doesn’t have problem with AirPak. Mine does although AirPak center at my area is just down the road. This May edition I put my office address thinking it’s AirPak. June one I put home address thinking it new courier. Kantoi la. Sigh.
Tomorrow I’m on leave. Most prolly I’ll go collect from the center since they’re so lazy. However Miss A have yet to reply my email on tracking number.
Actually EA capsule scent kicks in as soon as you slap it on the face wor. I still prefer fragrant skin care 😀
Oh mine have no sign yet.. Wonder if it’s still sitting in airpak office… Tbh the capsule scent kicks in even on its package itself.. But i thought i can bear it or i think it wont be that strong.. The moment i apply it on my face, poof my face smell like a fish and i run to the sink to wash it off and find those nice scented cream to put it on my face…. Lol
Same with me. If only we can stand the fishy smell eh. Then our face will be sooooo smooth and glowing haha. Maybe yours and mind 2nd batch which was sent out yesterday. See if today arrive or not 🙂

I can’t wait to get this – the bag is so cute and I couldn’t resist hunting down a spoiler – the brush is to-die-for! So worth it for these two items alone.
I do think MiMi has the best packaging of all the beauty boxes – I love her Bag idea very much!
I think MiMi should consider Pos Laju. Those Mivva boxes arrive even before you can say ‘Mivva”.
I just track my parcel. By right it should be delivered yesterday. But it was “held in branch” for no reason. The status was updated again today with the same excuse “held in branch”. AirPak is so pathetic.
I’m glad MiMi include a foundation paddle brush! PosLaju is way better than AirPak. Haha I said the same thing too about PosLaju! They’re fast. Even the previous problematic GDex has improved.
I love the contents. I use the bag to keep my hp charger :p
I’m still thinking what to do with it. Headache headache.
I am very likely to give away the bags to my mom and sister. I don’t have space for the bags. Heck, I barely have space for my skincare products. I’ve been thinking to throw away or recycle the beauty boxes.
Angelina, just throw the boxes. They won’t run out unless you stop subscribing to beauty boxes. I throw away mine. Only keep one each box.
so you are excited for the coming bag too :DD hehe, the EA capsule actually quite nice 😀 i felt the oil very good to my skin lol. just have to bear with the smell la ^_^ but for a while only then the smell will disappear ad 😀
