When Bath & Body Works FINALLY arrived Malaysia back in December 2014, I made my way to Nu Sentral after dinner allll the way from where I live, dragging along the whole family with me. The store in Nu Sentral looks huge as I was walking towards it and it was stuff with customers from the entrance all the way to the back, where the candles/other entrance is. Let’s not even talk about the checkout line shall we. The queue stretched all the way back too.

Good news for those who are like me, not fancy of driving into KL. Bath & Body Works opened their second store in Klang Valley earlier this week. The store is located at The Curve, Lot G117 & G117A, Centre Court, Ground Floor. Just look for MANGO or Starbucks and you will find Bath & Body Works 😀 . I actually found the store from the signage reflection on the escalator side lol 😀

If Nu Sentral store is long and narrow, you will find The Curve store to be at a totally different layout. The store itself is more wider and shorter. I like The Curve store more comparing to Nu Sentral as I can get quite agitated being in a tight space. This new store definitely have more walking space to occupy all the excited Bath & Body Works fans especially during the busy weekend.

I had the opportunity to get a personal walk thru at The Curve store just a few days ago, together with the wonderful people behind Bath & Body Works Malaysia. Sona, General Manager of Bath & Body Works who came all the way from Singapore gave us an insight on the brand and how the brand reach our shore. Sona who used to live in the US is also the one who brought Victoria’s Secret in and Bath & Body Works as well. Oh yes, I get to meet THE lady who made our dreams come true 😀 . Hope more and more brands arrive our shore ya *hint* *hint* 🙂

Since I got a personal walk thru, I think it is only fair if you too get a walk thru of the store as well. So as usual, make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and get comfy. This walk thru is one massive long blog post with 41 photos in total.

The store is divided into two main hall. The first hall you see when you enter from the entrance is where all the signature scent and products are located at. This is where you will find assorted shower gel, body lotion, fragrances and so on. Bath & Body Works philosophy is not to push any of their customer to purchase but to let them explore the store themselves freely (of course help is on standby just in case you need it). Believe it or not, you will walk out the store with something because it is just impossible to leave without anything!

This hall is very huge and spacious. It’s impossible to fit the whole hall in my camera 😀 . Here’s how half of the hall looks like from the entrance.

The second hall is mostly home and every other things. This is where candles, home fragrances, hand wash and so on is located at. However you will also find islands of body products around the hall. In fact it’s all over the store. I do find it to be a little confusing but I like that I can easily grab something within a reach without having to walk all the way back to the first hall.

As Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, Bath & Body Works also put up a showcase of their new scent and collection – A Thousand Wishes at the front entrance.

Myself, Chency and HOT magazine Editor spent the longest time here misting ourself with their diamond shimmer mist 😀 . It smells heavenly and so so pretty. The best part is, you get to buy 3 of the full size for just RM120 only 😉

If this is too girly for you, there are also other scent range to choose from. I happen to like everything pink, girly and shimmery and so I had my eyes on A Thousand Wishes. Don’t worry, not everything is loaded with shimmer. In fact the body mist on the far left is without shimmer hehe.

On the right wall of the signature scent hall, you will find that all the scents and products are categorized accordingly. This makes searching for something particular a hassle free thing to do. Oh and just so you are curious, all are going at 3 for RM120.

The slight confusion part for me is the deals happening. You will find standees and islands like these that tells you what offers they have like 3 full size for RM120, which I think is sooo cheap as one bottle only cost RM40 each. Bath & Body Works believe in the 3-step routine – cleanse, moisturize and mist. The brand believes in layering to obtain a long lasting lingering scent. I believe this is also the reason for the 3 For RM120 deal.

On the second hall (home), I was most attracted to what else but candles! On the weekends, the candles are going on a super bargain of 2 For RM120.

While we were all standing around the candles, sniffing, going oohhsss and ahhhsss, a customer mist a room spray behind us and it smells so good that I keep turning my head back to see what was the nice smelling fragrance. While I still have no idea which was the scent, I wasn’t worried. Because I saw this heaven. All the room sprays are beautifully packaged in a portable luxury looking canister.

HOT magazine Editor told me that these Wallflowers, that comes with a fragrance plug and a refill is retailing at 2 For RM48 only on the weekdays. So she bought two and told me yesterday that she had it on and her whole room smells like heaven. Okay, I’m intrigued now. I’m more of a romantic candle kinda girl but sometimes I need something like Wallflower to scent the whole room. Or maybe my nose is numb towards scent now, eh? 😀

I also learnt that each Bath & Body Works store carries a small 2% of men’s range. Yes it’s not as huge as the women’s but hey, majority men don’t use a lot of products so this is more than enough lol

In Bath & Body Works, their collection is categorized into five main category such as Signature Collection, Signature Collection Men’s, Forever Collection, Aromatherapy and True Blue Spa. I was told that the True Blue Spa collection is to die for. Initially I thought it’s limited seasonal release but when I did some research, this range has been around for many years!

Aromatherapy range on the other hand is self-explanatory. The range caters to those who are not into floral, fruity, romantic and sexy scent from the Signature Collection but are more into something that is soothing, relaxing for the mind, body and soul. Sounds deep eh? 😀 . The products are mainly infused with aromatherapy blend of essential oils and natural ingredients.

Here’s an interesting fact. Did you know that Bath & Body Works also carries lip gloss range? I didn’t know that if it wasn’t because of Sona. These lip glosses is located at the second hall, next to the Aromatherapy range so if you’re a fan, you know where to head to 😀

The island of minis is probably the island that most people would spend more time browsing and choosing. I mean look at it! Personally I’m a fan of anything that is mini and cute. These minis are 3 for RM40 and it’s quite worthy if you are new to BBW and you want to try different products and scents at one go without splurging on the full size. On another hand, PocketBac are 3 for RM30.

Last but not least is gifting. If you’ve been following me on Instagram especially before Christmas, you will find that I’m more into buying a gift set for myself instead of a single unit. For some reason I’m more attracted to pretty packaging 😀 . Gifts sets are the easiest and most convenient to gift to someone on any occasion. My advise is, if the ready gift sets are not what you’re looking for, just grab the full size promo of 3 For RM120. Bath & Body Works provide gift wrapping service in the store as well. Do remember to inquire within the store before making purchase ya.

Phew! That was a long one 🙂 . I always love hearing a good story from the brand person on the history of the brand and also a free and easy store tour. By exploring the store, I find myself not as confuse as the first time I step into Bath & Body Works in Nu Sentral. I still remember the first time I went to Bath & Body Works two months ago. I was walking around like a lost child, not understanding the product range and product placement. The Curve store is a new store for Bath & Body Works Malaysia but to me it is an improvement store. The first thing I notice is the wider layout and the spacious walking space. I really appreciate the in-store deal signs scattering all over the store because it reminds me to check it out and the best part is, I don’t have to walk to the specific collection shelf to grab something.
