More and more brands are coming up an all-in-one product and Hada Labo is one of them. The latest addition to the brand’s wide array of Hyaluronic Acid based skincare is the Whitening Cooling Gel Lotion, a multifunction 5-in-1 lotion that functions as a lotion, mask, essence, astringent, and emulsion.

The Hada Labo Whitening Cooling Gel Lotion is the first 5-in-1 multifunction lotion. It contains two types of Hyaluronic Acid – Hyaluronic Acid and Nano Hyaluronic Acid, which is a staple for Hada Labo products. Hyaluronic Acid is important as it provides instant cooling refreshing sensation and instant penetration into the skin’s deepest layer for deep hydration minus the stickiness.

This one of it’s kind product comes in a transparent baby blue bottle. The transparency gives us a clearer view of the bubbly gel on the inside. Kinda intriguing I say. The bottle was designed in a way to dispense out just the right amount with a gentle squeeze on the center.

At first I wonder for a bit what this product does. I am well aware that it surely do provide hydration to the skin. It’s Hada Labo anyhow. The “whitening” word on the box gave it away. It’s a whitening product! I am obsessed with anything brightening or whitening 😀 . This Whitening Cooling Gel Lotion is also enhanced with Vitamin C derivatives to help rebalance skin tone, and to restore skin evenness. If you have concern with acne breakout, good news for you. This gel are formulated with Witch Hazel Leaf extract. That means it is high in tannins. Tannins are found in any natural astringent because of their ability to tighten, dry and harden tissues. So, it is no surprise that this gel helps to tighten and refine pores 😀

The texture as you can see below is pretty much just a gel. It is semi-liquidy and has a strong mint scent to it. Therefore do expect some cooling sensation on the skin. Not stinging but just a minor cooling. It feels quite pleasant on the skin too.

What I love about this all-in-one product is the fact that I could skip everything else. I only use this Whitening Cooling Gel Lotion after cleansing and top it up with a moisturizer before sunblock and makeup. I would pat onto my face until absorbed, but as this is a gel, it doesn’t absorb in completely right away. You would need to do some patting and when you feel that the gel is half-absorbed in, do the sweeping application method. By then you will have a smooth, cooling and non-sticky face 😀 . And because this product provides hydration, my skin are less oilier throughout the day. Probably also due to lesser skincare product used. All in all, I’m a fan!
