I have to admit that I am an absolute late bloomer in dipping my toes into everything new although I knew the existence earlier. I was on a shopping hiatus for the past 2 months and as you can see from my Instagram, I am slowly getting back into shopping.

I found out about Shopee Mobile App from one of the Instagram seller about 4 months ago and I downloaded the app onto my mobile but left it unattended since then. Only recent week I started to fiddle with all the apps on my phone and Shopee came into the picture. SPOILER ALERT! I am going to start with showing you my haul from Shopee mobile app 😀

Just a mini haul. I’m into bite size haul these days. But before I tell you about my haul, I have to start with telling you about Shopee right?

So, what is Shopee. Shopee is a mobile marketplace designed for both buyers and sellers to enjoy fast, smooth and safe transactions. With the in-app functions, you can easily turn your clutter into cash and share the fun with your friends! Plus, Shopee Guarantee ensures that the seller ships only after the buyer has paid, and the buyer’s payment is transferred to the seller only after receiving the product. They aim to create a simple and secure mobile marketplace for everyone to buy and sell, anytime, anywhere. Perfect for you and me who are constantly on the phone all day long! There are concerns that the products are not authentic. Rest assured that all products that are selling in Shopee are authentic 😀

Since this is a mobile app, you have to start with downloading the app from your app store into your phone. The rest is pretty easy as there are step by step guide on what to do. I registered my phone number, verified it within one second through a verification code sent through sms and I’m ready to roll. The app interface is clean, well-organized and easy to navigate. Usually I would just tap onto the categories I am into i.e. Beauty & Personal Care. But if you are curious with the trending hashtags, you can also tap onto that to check it out. The categories are pretty long. It takes up to 2 pages. Very detail and well categorized.

I was curious with the 5 little icon at the bottom so I clicked into it one by one to see what is it about.

Home is where Shopee suggested seller or product that you may like. Basically you will find 2 items here and you can click ‘Follow more friends, discover new stories’ at the bottom of the page to view more 😀

Sell is where you can be a seller and sell your stuff in Shopee. The template is very easy to use. Just fill in one by one accordingly and you are set. I like that Shopee include the sharing buttons within the same page. Once again, this selling part is very detail such as shipping fee, shipping duration and stock count.

Activity on the other hand is where you can view back every thing you had done within the app. As I screenshot before I start shopping, therefore my activity is empty hehe.

Me is where you can view or edit your profile including buying activities under My Purchase, likes that you have given to other seller’s, and followers tracking.

When I find something I want, I can either choose to chat with the seller using the ‘Chat Now’ button or click ‘Buy Now’.

Like I said before, the best part about Shopee is that I can choose the quantity I want to purchase 😀

Back to my small little haul 😀

The first thing I hauled is this highly raved Jeunesse Luminesce Cellular Rejuvenation Serum (RM175) from the seller Arche Digital. Why this serum? Well, firstly because I have heard so much good thing about this product, and secondly I was approached by someone to review this product but that person refuse to send me the product. Only sample. I know right. Facepalm 😛 .

Cellular Rejuvenation Serum comes in a clear light pink gel. It is complete scentless and light. This serum helps to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating the body’s natural ability to replenish, amplify, and heal around the clock. I have not used this serum for very long so I can’t tell give you a full review yet but I am hoping it will help with my under eyes. Yes. I’m going to sneakily apply a tad bit on my under eyes 😀

This serum is retailing for RM230 on Lazada or RM270 on Carousell. Some seller in Carousell is selling for RM350! Shopee is the cheapest I can find. At least on the app that I tried. There is one pre-order seller in Shopee selling this serum for RM486.32. Don’t ask me what is up with the odd price 😛

Next haul is April Skin Magic Stone 100% Natural Cleansing Soap (RM62.30) from seller 91 Loading Enterprise. This soap reminds me of another black soap which I’ve tried before and since this is made from Korea, I thought I want to give this a try.

The soap is HUGE! I did not expect it to be this big. The smell of the soap is very familiar but I couldn’t think of which product it has the scent similarity. It certainly smells nice and not overpowering. The one I have here is black soap and it is specifically for night time use only. It is a deep cleansing soap to cleans off all makeup residue, and to purifies the skin. Some soap can be drying but not this one. I have combination skin with dehydration on the inside and this soap does not cause me any irritation or dryness. I notice some other seller in Shopee is selling this soap for RM85 or RM90. 11street is currently selling this soap for RM95, and Carousell RM72. Shopee is still the cheapest 😀

Innisfree is my favourite affordable Korean brand. You already know that 😀 . I have never tried Innisfree face mask before so why not. I only got Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask in Cucumber (RM4.70) and Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask in Collagen (RM4.70) from the seller Wako Beauty.

It’s Real Squeeze Mask in Cucumber has that fresh cucumber smell. Cucumber as you already know provides plentiful moisture to the skin. It is recommended to use toner after cleansing before using this mask. No rinsing required. Just pat the remaining essence. Skin Clinic Mask in Collagen is more or less an anti-aging mask. It is said that the mask cotton contain collagen but I’ve only used it once so I can’t comment much. Most probably will get a bulk of this for continuous use since collagen is good for any skin condition. The usage is the same as It’s Real Squeeze Mask. However collagen can be a little sticky for my liking so I prefer to go for a quick rinse after removing the mask. Let’s see. Other seller in Shopee is selling these masks for RM5 – RM6.50 per piece, while Carousell around RM6.

There you have it! My first time trying out Shopee mobile app. I hope this review helped those who had emailed me before asking me if I have tried Shopee, and for those who are thinking to try out Shopee but hesitated. All my orders came as per delivery duration stated on the page. Everything was securely wrapped, no dent or whatsoever. Once again I had a good first time experience.

I bet you didn’t know this. You can actually shop or sell through Shopee mobile app or from web mall. Yes! Web browser 😀 . This means you can browse the web mall from your desktop at work (so your boss do not suspect you are online shopping) or from your mobile phone anytime, anywhere.
