When it comes to BB Cushion Compact, undeniably Laneige ones are the most sought after. Laneige BB Cushion was the FIRST cushion ever invited and went global back in 2012. Being the leader with many followed, they are the one who brought the trend to where it is now. Laneige 1st Generation Snow BB Soothing Cushion is also the first BB Cushion I bought many years ago. Fast forward to today, Laneige Malaysia launched its 3rd Generation BB Cushion_Whitening and BB Cushion_ Pore Control just yesterday.

It was interesting that as soon as we entered the event area, we went through a time tunnel where we learnt about the history of Laneige BB Cushion. Launched in 2012 with 5-in-1 functions, which evolved to a 6-in-1 functions BB Cushion in 2014 with targeted skin concern such as BB Cushion Whitening, Pore Control, and Anti-Aging. Instead of reading all the facts about BB Cushion, Laneige shocked us by placing real live human in the time tunnel telling us about the history of BB Cushion.

The New 2016 Laneige BB Cushion is the 3rd Generation. It comes with a few new features including a packaging facelift and the design of the sponge. The front of the case comes with holographic cover that diffuses light in different color hues, reflecting Laneige’s philosophy of sparkling beauty.

What’s so different with this 3rd Generation of BB Cushion, if you may ask? It comes with three key highlights.

1. 3D Skin Fit Cushion – the 3D Skin Fit Cushion allows you to pick up desired amount of product easily and evenly with the puff as BB liquid adheres lightly and thinly on the skin in order to achieve a transparent makeup look. With this new cushion design, it product does not overflow over the edge of the pff when pressed down.
2. Super Flex Lasting™ – this new feature of anti-darkening film layer intensifies the long-lasting effect of smooth and even skin texture. It functions by spreading itself to cover the surface of the skin to conceal wrinkles and gives the skin brightness all day.
3. Hydro Ion Mineral Water – the upgrade also comes with Laneige’s signature Hydro Ion Mineral Water that contains 6 minerals (Manganese, Magnesium, Zinc, Calcium, Potassium, and Sodium) and 3 essential Vitamins (A, C, E). What this Hydro Ion Mineral Water does is that it offers long lasting moisturization. We all need more hydration for the skin!

We are not quite done with the upgrade yet 😀 . Laneige retains its 6-in-1 functionality from the 2nd Generation BB Cushion over to the current 3rd Generation. Here are the upgrades for BB Cushion_Whitening and BB Cushion_Pore Control.

BB Cushion_Whitening (RM159 / 15g X 2)

1. Dual Whitening Technology

Its Dual Whitening Care enables you to achieve brighter and clearer skin from the inside out. It incorporates patented Sparkling Coat™ Technology with the application of a Magic Pigment System. It is also the first cushion in the market that adopts colouring technology. Laneige pigment system uses micro-sized pearls with two color schemes i.e. white or silver that also deflects light by 360 degress. White pigments gives the skin a brighter glowy look, silver pigments is for moisturizing and radiant.

2. Water Coating Technology

Laneige BB Cushion are infused with Water Coating Technology that uses micro-sized moisture coated pearls that are easily absorbed into the skin for a more hydrated and smooth complexion in order to achieve the Korean natural dewy look. Not only you want to glow from the outside but from the inside too. Adopting the core technology found from Laneige White Plus Renew line, Laneige uses Melacrusher™ Technology to break down melanin membrane to combat with skin discoloration and dullness.

BB Cushion_Pore Control (RM159 / 15g X 2)

1. Two-Step Oil Control System

This 3rd Generation BB Cushion Pore Control comes with two-step oil control system to control excess sebum. Yay! You will not look oily with this BB Cushion but instead looking fresh with a well-moisturized skin.
The Two-Step Oil Control System are made with Step 1: Selective Oil-Balancing Powder™ which absorbed only excess oil and not the water from the skin. This enables the upper of the skin to stay matte. Step 2: Pore Minisizing Technology from Laneige’s skincare line prevents excess sebum secretion of the skin.

2. Blurffing Effect

This is important for those who has large pores. The Blurring Layer feature in this BB Cushion formed by a soft powder functions to cover dull skin, enlarged pores and uneven skin tone. It works like a blurring tool in photo editing software to give the skin a smooth looking complexion with light reflection effects.

3. UV Protection

Same as BB Cushion Whitening, BB Cushion Pore Control also comes with SPF50+ PA+++ for a broad-spectrum protection from harmful UV rays.

The anti-darkening powder from the Dual Powder Formula is resistant to sweat, sebum, and heat. Therefore makeup last longer!
