Not sure if you are aware that I secretly went off to Singapore for a few days last week for the launch of Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence. I bet you did not notice me missing from the blogging scene because I pre-scheduled all blog post to be published on each day 😀 . If you are not following me on Instagram by now, oh bummer! Now back to the secret media trip. A group of 30 medias and bloggers were flown to Singapore to attend the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence launch. The trip was so well-planned ahead that I was given daily itinerary. Let me tell you how happy I was with people planning my day. I absolutely love itinerary otherwise I cannot function well. The launch was held at a rather special placed called Nosh. Even the cab driver have no idea how to get to the main door. He nearly got us down the cab and take the back door instead as he only found the back of the venue, not the main entrance. And I insist on not going in through the back door!

Unlike Malaysia, Singapore event starts at the stated time sharp. What amazed me was how punctual everyone was, which is a rare case over here in Malaysia lol oppsss! The event was short, sweet and straight to the point. We also get to meet popular Singapore blogger and Youtuber Roseanne Tang. Roseanne was there to guide us on how to renew our skincare and some quick makeup tips. We were provided with the proper product and tools so those who want to hands-on, they could.

I also took this opportunity to meet some of my friends who I have not seen for quite some time. Sabrina Tajudin who drove in from Johor Bahru with her husband and baby and Ashley Yeen who had moved back to Penang quite some time ago and she flown in from Penang.

Now that I have filled you in on the event, now let’s move to the product review / first impression. Well, not really a first impression as I have been using both the Olay Regenerist Miracle Duo for a good week now so I can tell you how is it based on my experience and skin reaction on these products. I checked into my hotel room to find more surprises. Sorry, no photo of the yummy decadent chocolates and macarons as I have devoured them on the same night while watching TV with a cup of hot TWG Chamomile tea on the side 😉

It will be available for purchase from 15th November 2016 onwards so hang onto your horses! The launch will also complete the existing Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, creating one what we called as the Olay Regenerist Miracle Duo. When used alone, it is a-okay but when you used both the pre-essence and cream together, it promises to boost renewal of surface cells and provide 2X more anti-ageing active penetration into the skin. As the serum is afterall a pre-essence, it will make your current skincare more easily absorbed and most importantly, more effective for you. That is what pre-essence is for. A booster!

Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence (RM79.90 / 40ml)

It is only a few weeks ago I started using pre-essence to boost my skincare efficacies. This one by Olay contain advanced actives to help accelerate anti-ageing benefits so that it works way more faster to give you noticeable results. And these anti-ageing actives have been packed into the Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence.

Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence is housed in a beautiful red bottle that comes with a auto-pump top. Inside are a bottle full of water-oil emulsion. If I did not read the product info, I would not have any idea that this pre-essence is made from a combination of water-oil emulsion. That is because the texture and product consistency is watery and light.

The auto-pump top is so much convenient to use. It is advisable to use two pumps each time. When you unscrew the top, the auto-pump will pump the product into the pipette automatically. To dispense, simply just press the top. For the second pump, I usually just stick the pipette back into the bottle and press on the top.

You must be thinking two pumps is too much. I thought so too initially but in fact it is really just nice. The amount covers the whole face and neck. It has a floral scent to it but not to worry. It is kinda relaxing inhaling the product during application and the scent does not lingers on for long.

Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence contain something called the Golden Amino Peptide which is said to be 75 times as precious as gold. For the skin that is 😀 . The concoction is able to trigger the skin’s self-collagen production for your journey to a more youthful skin and wrinkles reduction. It is also proven to be able to boost cell energy by 35% to strengthen the skin’s inherent renewal of surface skin cells. Why is it a part of the Olay Regenerist Miracle Duo? That is because when it is used with the Micro-Sculpting Cream, it can provides 2X more anti-aging active penetration into skin to further give you the youthful skin appearance to look up to 10 years younger. I have not use this pre-essence with any other skincare than the accompanying cream therefore I cannot comment much on that. I was rather amazed with how smooth the skin surface turns to right after that. I like to quickly spread my Micro-Sculpting Cream over while the pre-essence is still wet on my face to accelerate the absorption 🙂

Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturiser (RM99.90 / 50g)

Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence is recommended to be used after cleanser and before Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturiser. Together, this Miracle Duo works to boost renewal of surface cells and provide 2x more anti-ageing active penetration into skin. The cream carries the same scent as the pre-essence. The name “Micro-Scultping” excites me very much as I cannot help but to think this helps to lift the face up too 😀 . As you can see from the name, this is an anti-aging moisturizer to hydrates, renew, firm and lift as well as retaining the skin’s youthful surface contours. Inside it has advanced Amino-Peptide Complex that penetrates deep into skin surface to visibly reduce the appearance of wrinkles on a more faster rate, hyaluronic acid, amino-peptides and Vitamin B3 to hydrates, help plump cells from within the skin’s surface.

The cream I can tell you upfront that it is creamy and thick. Just the way I like it. Ever since I came back from Singapore, my skincare routine has been a cheat day kinda routine. Day and night all I am using is just my toner, eye cream, Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturiser. The cream is thick yes but it also hydrates the skin properly. It does not feels oily or too sticky. It just glides over and soaks in. So far it sits well under my makeup. I did not notice excessive sebum. At night, I would apply more and thicker. It is not fun having a dehydrated skin because I go through skincare so fast. Just yesterday morning, I notice something different. As usual I would wake up in the morning for a run. I usually sweat buckets and I would have salt sweat which resulted in something called “cake sweat” where the salt in my sweat harden. Yesterday morning I rinsed my face before cleansing and I find that my face is as soft as baby’s butt. I stood there trying to figure out why and where is all the stickiness. There was none. My face is as smooth as a butter, with no signs of oily sensation from the running. What Olay claims is on point. I even made my mom apply them so that she could wake up to a baby butt soft skin lol.

I wish I can tell you how the pre-essence works on other skincare but I am afraid I cannot as I have only been using it together with the accompanying cream. I am glad I did as I found that Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence is indeed the best partner for Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturiser. Together the Miracle Duo works like a charm. Again, I also cannot tell you how it plumps my wrinkles up and what not because I do not really have visible wrinkles on my face except for my under eyes. However I can tell you it does works in smoothing the skin in just one day as claimed. So if you have dry, dehydrated skin which resulted with visible wrinkles or fine lines on the skin, you too can see the pumping effect almost immediately like I did 😀
