On every October every year, I would be all hands and legs on being a part of breast cancer awareness campaign as much as I can. This year, I kick start my participation with XIXILI for their Stand Up For Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, which is now currently held at Ground Floor, South Court, Mid Valley Megamall. The awareness campaign and event started from 28th September and it will end tonight hence this last minute blog post to urge you to GO NOW!

There are loads of on-ground activities happening at the event area. To give you a quick glance, here are what to expect.

• Breast health consultations & Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) by the certified nurses of the BCWA Team.
• Public donation and fundraising through sales of pink merchandise by BCWA.
• An interactive Pink Pledge.
• Pink Ribbon Visual Art Display.
• Mount and pose on Harley Davidson “Pink” Bikes.
• Kiss and Pledge Lip Services by Shu Uemura.
• Charity Dry Hair Cuts by Number76.
• A celebratory Pink Walk parade by breast cancer survivors & supporters.
• Wheel of Hope with prize giveaways.

Many of you asked before where do I get all my Pink Ribbon pins. A few years ago when I decided to be on-board on all breast cancer awareness campaigns, I drove to Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) at Petaling Jaya, walked in and purchased all the pins I want. So every day for the whole month of October, you will be sporting me with different pin everyday 😀 . The fact is, not many people are aware that they can just walk-in to BCWA centre to make a donation or purchase their Pink merchandize. The good news is, BCWA had a section at XIXILI Stand Up For Pink event to sell their merchandize. I was so happy when I saw this.

I like how XIXILI section out a private room for professional nurse to conduct complimentary Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) for the public. There is a queue line but I think this is so much worth it. If you can queue food or even for warehouse sale, you should be queuing for this too. It is not everyday you get a complimentary check.

Number76 also kindly on-board as a part of the event co-partners by providing charity dry hair cut for just RM15.

Harley-Davidson Kuala Lumpur, one of my ex-client from my motoring days is also on-board as one of the co-partners by placing two of their Harleys at the event for Instagram Photo Contest. It is as simple as Ride, Selfie & Hashtag.

The highlight of the event yesterday was Pink Walk with all the breast cancer survivors. It is just a simple few rounds of walk around the event area, which I have uploaded on my Instagram Stories 🙂

Any awareness campaign will not be successful if everyone is ignorant about it. Be apart of it and help to spread the awareness. You may think that what you are doing may not do any difference but trust me, an extra voice and hand always make a difference.

This year is XIXILI’s 11th year in the row for their annual breast cancer awareness campaign, a cause closed to XIXILI as a lingerie brand to remind Malaysian women to take charge on their breast health and be breast aware. Thank you XIXILI for having me at the launch of the event yesterday. You have no idea how much this means to me in every way, having to lost an aunt a few years ago from breast cancer.

Every year, XIXILI promotes breast cancer awareness through education and a consistent reminder for women of all ages to practice their monthly Breast Self-Examination (BSE). BSE can be performed at home on a monthly basis. XIXILI is also active and advocate in helping others to spread the awareness of breast cancer.
