So far BY TERRY‘s new launches has been nothing but interesting and a hit. From the much love Rouge-Expert Click Stick, which remains my most used and favourite lipstick, to the interesting Techno Aura Glow-Expert Duo Stick, which I had fun making video of, and Eye Designer Palette Parti-Pris, which is an underestimated eyeshadow palette. Out with the Spring now let’s welcome Autumn/Winter 2017 collection – the BY TERRY Expert 2017 Collection.

BY TERRY Expert 2017 Collection adapted a new technology – I.M.C.® short for Intensive Mimetic Camouflage technology that is inspired by backstage and photo shoot makeup session challenges. The products within the collection are formulated with optical prisms blend, micro-camouflage pigments and mineral powders. All these work hand-in-hand to blur every imperfection on the skin, it smoothes skin texture if any, minimizes shin, capture and reflect light and it brings out the skin’s natural beauty. Terry de Gunzburg was inspired by the cultural trend that makes her create this new collection: as technically crafted and superior as professional makeup products, that are able to attain flawless skin without requiring any particular makeup expertise. No photo touch-ups but appears as perfect as it does in real life. Sounds like every selfie lover’s dream came true, eh? 😀

Compact-Expert Dual Powder (RM235)

The product I’m most excited about is the Compact-Expert Dual Powder. I do have a soft spot for powder. Honestly, at one glance I would tell you this is a bronzing powder. But when I saw the lighter shades, I would then say it’s a highlighter powder. So what exactly are these powder?

The answer is, it is a hybrid powder for mattifying, illuminating, blushing, bronzing, sculpting, strobing and concealing. In another word, it’s an all-in-one- powder!

Unify
To use it as an overall powder, just swirl both shades together and apply all over the face for a luminous, flawless complexion. It mattifies the T-zone and has a coverage to conceal shadows and other imperfection.

Sculpt
The outer ring has a gorgeous golden warmth that are suitable to be used to contour the face. It adds warmth and can be used effortlessly to sculpt the face. The warmth depth varies, so choose one that suits your skin tone.

Illuminate
At the center of the compact is an iridescent highlighter. Used together with the outer ring shade for an all-over natural looking glow or use it alone on the high points of your face to highlight!

How can one get away with an effortless flawless complexion using the Compact-Expert Dual Powder even without any makeup expertise? Easy. The secret lies within the powder’s smart pigments. The production begins with the product being in a liquid form before molded into the signature dark purple case and then heated to dry. Stylo-Expert Click Stick (RM179)

The second main product within the Expert 2017 Collection is the Stylo-Expert Click Stick.

Adapting to the unique water droplet shape from the Rouge-Expert Click Stick lipstick, the Stylo-Expert Click Stick is Terry de Gunzberg’s promise to keep the multi-purpose stick the smallest but able to achieve as much as possible. The result is a silky stick that are ultra-creamy with ultra-lightweight formula to cover dark circles, camouflage imperfections and unify the complexion by sculpting the face using contouring or highlighting technique.

Thanks to I.M.C® Intensive Mimetic Camouflage technology once again, this multi-purpose stick is velvety and matte, providing barely there coverage to absolute opacity. It’s fully customizable!

Terry de Gunzburg created an application that is simple to master and effective – pat the product onto the areas that need correcting, as if you were making polka dots, and then blend into the skin with fingertips or sponge or brush.

Tool-Expert Retractable Kabuki Brush (RM219)

A new brush was also brought in as the perfect companion brush to the Compact-Expert Dual Powder. The Tool-Expert Retractable Kabuki Brush are made with ultra-light synthetic bristles. It has a dome-shape top to sweep on makeup in a single stroke. Another feature of the brush is it’s retractable case for easy travel and hygiene.

Rouge-Expert Click Stick (RM139)

Another five new nude shades were also added into the existing Rouge-Expert Click Stick lipstick range. These new matte velvet shades are said to be the classic. Terry wanted to bring a little more character to nude shades by enhancing sublime skin tones. These shades idealize natural beauty with true colors that cling divinely to the lips.
