MIVVA “Glow Gizmo” September 2013 Edition Review

This month’s MIVVA “Glow Gizmo” Box was delivered out slightly late than their usual shipment day. It was nerve wrecking for me in so many ways as I ordered three boxes for my friends.

Earlier of the month just before the shipment, I was contacted by MIVVA to fill in a survey form as this month’s box will contain contact lens. I thought it was thoughtful of them to ask me before sending out. But at the same time my mind started to go wild on whether three of my friends who will receive a box from me are contact lens user. The day finally came. I was at work while my complimentary box was sent to home address so I do a quick Instagram check on the content of the box. I told you earlier that it was nerve wrecking for me as three of my friends worked in a top beauty company. I need the box to look good. I’ll tell you what they think at the end of this post 🙂

One Fragrant MIVVA “Flower Power” August 2013 Edition Review

This has got to be the most heavily fragrant beauty box I ever received so far.

If you are a MIVVA subscriber, you will receive a sneak peek newsletter from the team. Although the sneak peek doesn’t reveal much but based on the theme “Flower Power” and the product in general that will be included, I already knew that I will like it. I tried asking for first hand news from the girls, and boy they sure can keep a secret. Mission failed :(. I got to hang on for a few more days for the box to arrive.

As expected, MIVVA never fail me. So far they are the most creative beauty box of all. I said so many times before that I like to see brand or product diversity in a beauty box and only MIVVA has done it. Some people tell me the brands they get is weird. Heck, that’s not weird. That is DIVERSITY. Who doesn’t like to receive “weird” stuff? I do. At least it’s something that is different from retail store don’t you think so?

Wonderbox July 2013 Edition Review

Ahh Wonderbox. It has been quite some time since I last talk about Wonderbox. It is a beauty box that I seldom review or talk about nowadays. I find them not interesting lately which is a surprise because they started off on the right foot and keeps getting better until they fell off the bandwagon. Up till now.

As for me…I fell off Wonderbox bandwagon since the February 2013 edition. I don’t know. The box is not the worse but the oomph is not there. The worse box should be the Murad box which is the March 2013 edition. Follow by the May 2013 edition which is the Ginvera box that I hated very much. See the drill? It just keep going downhill for me.

I heard that July 2013 box is good and I do have lots of points in my account therefore I redeemed a box. Well, let’s just say I imagine the good, told the worse but in real it was ok-ok. Here’s July 2013 edition.

Bag of Love “Fun in the Sun” June 2013 Edition Review

I love sneak peek from beauty box/bag. They gave me an idea what product I’m getting for the subscription fee that I paid but I also hate them because they make me spend and add clutter to my already-so-congested-room :D. Yes, it’s a love and hate relationship.

One thing that I love about Bag of Love and MiMi is that she is not stingy with sharing sneak peek. I have mentioned before that in order to post up a sneak peek to the whole wide world you got to be confident with the content. Which is what Bag of Love never short of.

This is June’s “Fun in the Sun” edition. My bag was the first batch that was sent out but I still didn’t receive it despite second batch subscribers already received their respective bag. So I suspect it is stranded once again at AirPak centre. Three days later, coincidently I was on leave and I drove to the centre early in the morning to pick up my parcel. I was at the centre for close to 15 minutes and they couldn’t find my parcel! After numerous checking and searching later on only my parcel was found stashed at one lonely corner. I lectured 2 different administrator there on AirPak’s poor service and the fact that I live just down the street but yet they refuse to send the parcel. The answer I get is “rider don’t want to send we also can’t do anything”. Errr rider is suppose to follow instruction from the administrator or the administrator follow rider’s instruction? Honestly I will not want to go through all this trouble again if Bag of Love were to continue using AirPak. Good news for me now that MiMi announced the change of courier to TA-Q-BIN except for East Malaysia as TA-Q-BIN is not available there.

Enough of my courier drama already. I bet you see that coming lol. Let’s see why I subscribe to this edition 😀

Limited Edition KOSÉ X Vanity Trove July 2013 Edition Review

After nearly a month of teasing in Facebook on the upcoming exclusive single brand box, finally the Limited Edition KOSÉ X Vanity Trove box reaches me end of last week.

This box would not be my first single brand beauty box that I received before. My first one would be the Astalift box back in March 2012 from Vanity Trove Singapore. To be frank I hated it because that time there’s no beauty box in Malaysia and I was really looking forward to try many different brand through beauty box. Plus I was still new in this beauty world. However I totally changed my perception on the second single brand box. It was the Kanebo box and God I love it!

Two months ago I was wondering about single brand box cause I kinda miss receiving such box once in a while. So when I found out that KOSÉ is partnering with Vanity Trove for their July box, I can’t wait!

Here’s the box. I know what you want to say but hang on to your horses and let me tell you what I think. Grandma story coming up!

As this is a special single brand collaboration box with KOSÉ, this time there is a special branding on top of the box. Vanity Trove should do a belly band instead of double sided tape because that thing keep peeling off. But then…it doesn’t really matter 😀
