Review: ZA Groovy Smoovy Oil-Blotting Powder, Not a Must-Have But It’s Good to Have

The fact is, I’ve been eyeing on ZA Groovy Smoovy Oil-Blotting Powder everytime I’m at Watsons for the past few years. It’s always a “buy or don’t buy” question I ask myself because Groovy Smoovy is such a small face powder but with a higher price tag. I really couldn’t justify the price I’m paying against the size of the product. Really. I’ve lost count on those days where Groovy Smoovy was on 50% sales but the manufacturing date is like two years ago? So yeah, that sort of hold me back from purchasing ZA Groovy Smoovy Oil-Blotting Powder.

Besides that I couldn’t figure out if I needed this. It may look like a face powder but in fact this Groovy Smoovy is an oil-blotting powder. You see. A few years ago I don’t carry any makeup with me once I left the house with makeup on. I don’t do touch up during the mid day at all. Now that I carry a few makeup products with me when I’m out, I still don’t have the habit of touching up the powder on my face due to the obvious reason – oily skin. So the “buy or don’t buy” dilemma continued for a good few years 😛

Review: ZA Cheeks Groovy #02 Strawberry Pink – Pink Cheeks and Affordable, I’m Sold!

If it’s not thanks to Kamsiah who gifted me with a few ZA cosmetics last year, I wouldn’t have found my love for ZA cosmetics especially the blush. I’ve only started to dig into my blush collection one by one end of last year. Looks like my philosophy to open a new blush after finishing one is thrown out of the window 😀 . This ZA Cheeks Groovy #02 Strawberry Pink was hidden in between palette so I’m always missing it. One fine morning I thought “ahhh haaa! Where’s my ZA blush?”. It doesn’t took me long to like this blush.

I’m a loyal user of pink blushes. You have no idea how long it takes for me to finally accept coral blush. Yea I was afraid that I’ll turn into oompa loompa lol. No matter what. I’m all about pink blush.

Review: Corine de Farme Micellar Make-Up Remover Lotion, You Don’t Have To Travel To France To Buy A French Product

Micellar make-up remover seems like the talk of the town these days. My very first encounter with Micellar make-up remover is when I’m still in my teen. I walked up to Guardian Mid Valley and purchase a whole lot of Avéne skin care. Among all the deluxe samples that I was given, Micellar Lotion Cleanser & Make-Up Remover is one of it. I was told a 20cent coin size on a cotton pad is all I need to remove the whole face’s make-up. No need to top up, no need to repeat the removing process. Just one cotton pad will do. I never find that seems to work for me even when I have the lightest base make-up on but, I did returned to purchase a full size bottle as I find the whole “water” make-up remover thing something interesting.

Based on my earlier experience story, you can already tell that I’m not a fan of micellar make-up remover. It has been quite a good few years that I didn’t bother to look at this type of make-up remover in the market. So when Corine de Farme brought in their star product – Micellar Make-Up Remover Lotion and told me to try it, I was a bit hesitated. I don’t understand one thing. Of all product why would their Micellar Make-Up Remover Lotion the main attraction and not other skin care? That got me thinking.

Review: AVON Revolutionary Mega Effects Mascara, The First Wonderbrush That Changes Mascara History

I’m not sure if any of you are following AVON Malaysia’s Facebook page. If you do then you must have been seeing status update on their latest mascara – the revolutionary Mega Effects Mascara appearing on your timeline. I saw the picture, I told myself I got to have it. But I had a problem. I don’t have the time to go Avon boutique. Besides that I saw Avon fans commenting that the mascara has not arrive the store yet. So while I was busy with what I was doing, I stay updated with the stock arrival by checking up AVON Malaysia’s Facebook page once in a while. On one fine day last week, I returned home to a parcel on my bed. It was the new Mega Effects Mascara! I literally jumped up and down when I saw the mascara.

When I first saw the picture of Mega Effects Mascara, I thought the brush looked gigantic. So I was wondering how big is the whole mascara. The mascara overall is in a reasonable size. Not as huge as I imagined it to be 🙂

Review: Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow #Tenacious Teal & #Edgy Emerald – Probably The Best Vibrant Drugstore Cream Shadow In A Pot

I probably wouldn’t consider buying any cream shadow because I have oily lids and cream shadow crease on my lids like nobody business. When Maybelline released a mini series of Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow collection, I waited for every other beauty blogger to review it first before deciding. All reviews and feedback that I read said this cream shadow live up to it’s name – Color Tattoo 24 Hours and doesn’t crease at all so you bet I wanted these badly. I don’t do brown, earthy neutral tone so I was eyeing on blue and green. Then I had a problem. Tenacious Teal (the blue one) will not be available simultaneously with other color. It will only be released a month late.

Everyday after lunch I would walk to the only Guardian pharmacy at my office building and stuck my head in to peep if Tenacious Teal is available. Many times I was disappointed until one day. As usual I casually stuck my head into the left side of Guardian pharmacy main door as I was heading to Cold Storage. I thought I was delusional but I took another look and finally Tenacious Teal is in! Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow is retailing at RM19.90 each which is really a steal for a whopping 4g product. I grabbed Tenacious Teal (blue) and Edgy Emerald (green) and only paid RM15.92 each after 20% store discount!

I love colors especially my eyeshadow. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow fits the bill. But fret not, not only they have vibrant blue, orange, green and purple but they also do pretty taupe or brown which is a hit among everyone I know.
