Clarins Club Beauté Beauty Reward Redemption – April 2012

Last week I dropped by Clarins Isetan KLCC counter to check if the reward redemption gift is ready for collection and it is! Good, I won’t need to make a second trip.

The last redemption is back in October 2011 and after a few rounds of purchases I managed to keep 30,190 points. Here’s the rewards catalog for April 2012.

 

I redeemed a set of G1001 from 7,500 points and a set of G3002 from 22,000.

G1001 – 7,500 points (Worth RM181)
i) Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 100ml – RM95
ii) Tonic Bath & Shower Concentrate With Essential Oils 200ml – RM86

G3002 – 22,000 points (Worth RM515)
i) HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase 30ml – RM200
ii) HydraQuench Cream-Gel 50ml – RM180
iii) Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream 50ml – RM135

 

Total redemption value – RM696. Not bad! This is a reason why I stick to Clarins. Not only I get GWP during purchase, I’m also rewarded with points which I could redeem for full size products two times in a year. Ain’t it wonderful?

{Things That Made My Week}

Last week is the bestest week I had after many months of downs.

(1) Another “shopping” without paying a single cent with Clarins. I collected my April 2012 points redemption gift from Isetan KLCC while on the way back to PJ.

 

(2) Finally my Crabtree & Evelyn VIP Membership card is ready for collection. Was given super soft face and bath towel worth more than RM120+? Can’t remember. Actually I redeemed a Chatime too with my redemption stamp card but didn’t managed to take a picture :). Lovely day.

 

(3) Just before I throw away my “moldy” Estee Lauder lipstick bought from recent staff sale, I tried my luck contacting them through Facebook and they responded with providing me the PIC name and contact number. I called up the next day and coincidently I was at KLCC so half an hour later they called me back and said I could exchange / get a refund at Isetan. Very efficient. Thank you Estee Lauder, Jean, Karen and Mandy of Isetan KLCC.

 

(4) To be able to meet an old friend whom I haven’t meet for quite some time. We have fun at her event and did some catch up during lunch at Ben’s. Good food, lovely companion, great chat. What else could I ask for. Sometimes it’s not about the free gift that we were given for attending events, to me it’s the catching up with a friend is what I’m looking forward to. Nonetheless appreciate the gift too.

Clarins VIP Beauty Workshop 2012

Rise & shine everyone! I woke up at 4am today because today is THE DAY. If you still haven’t heard yet, it’s the SURIA MERIANG STAFF SALES!

While I’m spending a few hours of queuing, here’s what happen at yesterday’s Clarins VIP Beauty Workshop at Zang Toi Cafe Pavilion.

I reached around 9.45pm. I couldn’t find “Zang Toi Cafe” from the directory floor plan and no one knew where is it. I have to walk all the way to the middle of the mall on 3rd floor Information counter to ask. Apparently Zang Toi Cafe is inside Parkson at 4th Floor. And it’s at far hidden corner in Parkson. No wonder no one knew where is it.

I registered myself with Priscilla who was taking care of the registration counter and I can see Kamsiah is already there. Chatted happily with Kamsiah as we finally met after chatting for quite some time in Facebook. Like myself…Kamsiah is a Clarins user and a devoted one too.

 

Peggy came over and offered to take a picture of us. So kind of her.

Review: My Current Favorite; Clarins White Plus HP Whitening Powder Foundation #03 Natural

One makeup item which I like to buy and stock up besides blusher, eyebrow pencil and foundation is powder foundation. My trusted 2-way powder foundation since 10 years ago has always been ZA. Till now I still keep a spare of that just in case everything else is cakey on me.

Sometime in March 2012, I read about a new powder foundation release by Clarins Singapore. It’s the new addition to White Plus HP range. A whitening powder foundation? Now that’s interesting! As I was hanging around Jusco 1U, I asked Fennie about this as I didn’t know if it’s available in Malaysia. To my delight, it’s available and it’s already on sale. I was given sample card to try but only shade #03 Natural is available. Fennie told me the best seller is #04 Almond and it suits all skin shade. Thank God I called back to change my reservation to #03 Natural as it looked like my own skin!

Clarins White Plus HP Whitening Powder Foundation #03 Natural refill pack is retailing for RM126 and the casing is sold separately for RM42. I think it’s pretty expensive for a powder foundation even if I repurchase a refill pack. Clarins said that this is “the avant-garde whitening foundation comes with double whitening performance which gives skin a naturally brighter, fair and flawless complexion”. So I thought why not try it?

As much as I’m hooked with Clarins Eye Contour Balm, I don’t mind adding another eye care to my skin care routine and that is Clarins Defining Eye Lift 15ml which I gotten it for “free” from November 2011 haul of Total Beauty Lift set. Clarins Defining Eye Lift is retailing for RM152 and what it does is totally different from Eye Contour Balm which soften fine lines around the eyes. What this do is to reduce / eliminate puffiness which resulted a brighter, opened eyes.
