Kelly was kind enough to extend the invitation from Suria KLCC to me last week to check out Clarins’ unveiling of its new concept of Clarins Skin Spa. The last time I have been to this skin spa was last year for their introduction of the new Tri-Active Facial Treatments. Suria KLCC do this activity often from time to time for their tenants so if I’m lucky, you should be seeing more 🙂 . As you know KLCC is the mall I frequent often especially when I do my beauty rounding every weekend so this is pretty exciting.

Having a smaller, V-shape face is every Asian girl’s dream. Not just slimmer face but a shaper feature, bigger eyes, and fairer complexion too. We just want what we don’t have 😉 . Typically, Asian women has more and larger face pocket compared to Caucasian. Don’t ask me why. I want to know why too LOL. I started my Clarins journey because I was under Hyperthyroidism medication and the meds gave me extreme water retention which resulted in puffiness. A client of mine told me she uses Clarins Shaping Facial Lift and the rest is history. I purchased and repurchased over 30 bottles to date. So when it comes to combating puffiness and to give Asian women a smaller face, Clarins is the expert.
Clarins, together with top 40 “Green Angels”customers ventured out to Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) on Earth Day to plant 40 fruit trees in an effort to raise awareness and appreciation of our Mother Earth.
The first “Green Angel” campaign for the brand are held at all Clarins Skin Spas from 1st March to 30th April 2016 armed with an aim to encourage their consumers to start recycling. Clarins customers are encouraged to bring back all empty jars, bottles as well as cartons for recycling at the Skin Spas. The top 40 recyclers of “Green Angel” were rewarded and a tree was planted for each of the winner.
On Earth Day, Clarins team together with a few customers had an enjoyable time in FRIM. The day started with a short welcome address by Gillian Tyo, General Manager of Clarins Malaysia & Singapore followed by FRIM and then a 40-minute walk to Taman Bidara trail where the tree planting took place. Right after the tree planting, each winner was presented a tree certificate, as a symbolic gesture to reward their commitment to protect nature; and helping Clarins run a greener operation in Malaysia. The partnership with FRIM was to highlight the importance of nature and helping to enrich additional fruit trees in the tropical forest to maintain the ecosystem of local fauna and at the same time to reduce carbon footprint by planting more trees
Clarins worldwide have always been practising the 3Rs principle – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and now, Replant. From the very beginning, Clarins has based its development on respect for nature as an honour to the principle of extracting the benefits of each plant without harming ecosystems, as well as making a commitment to preserving and reintroducing biodiversity where deforestation, urban construction and extensive farming have destroyed local flora and fauna.

What I love about Clarins is their annual We Care initiative in bringing a better life for the community in need. This year, Clarins Malaysia held a Clarins Values Day and every of their employees took a day off and headed to the Orang Asli children of Pusat Pengalak Pembaca Batu 12 Gombak, a pre-school, Gombak to restore and refurbished a previously abandoned playground for the children. Mind you this playground was abandoned for more than 15 years!
A few months ago, I went for a secret facial treatment by Clarins at Clarins Skin Spa KLCC. The mission? The try out their upcoming NEW Tri-Active Facial Treatments. Now, if you have been reading my blog since the beginning, you will know that I do not go for any facial except for Clarins. Clarins facial treatment focuses on massage techniques. There are no extraction and no machines. The facial from the beginning to the end are all using hand massage techniques. Something which I am familiar and used to by now.
While I was there waiting for the rest of the media friends to arrive, I cannot help but to ask Clarins PR & Communications Manager on the new Tri-Active Facial Treatments comparing to the existing treatments. I was told that they now uses all PRO products, with a few newly added skin problem targeted PRO products, and the formulation are now enhanced for quicker, immediate effects. And more massage techniques are included as well. My curiosity spikes up once again and asked “isn’t Clarins facial treatments are fully on massages? How much more massages can you put in?”. I was told it will be MORE and also the new facial treatments will focus more on the body massage as well. Another difference will be the treatment time. Previously it is 60 minutes, now it is 75 minutes due to the added massages. Now, that is really MORE 😀
