My Perfume Miniature Collection

Months ago me and Wendy were chatting about her obsession on perfume miniature and she actually collects them. Brand new. As in not going to use brand new. I remembered I was saying I only like miniature cause it’s cute and it’s easy to carry in the bag. One day I ran through my perfume drawer and I went blank a bit cause I do have a mini collection myself *proud*

And, here’s the mini collection! I only get miniature that I like and that I’ll use. I won’t keep miniature that has a scent which is not suitable for me. Most of my miniature is given to me free that comes along with a certain amount of purchase. I’ll show you the break down don’t worry.

First stop. Jimmy Choo. My most favorite perfume of all. I actually own 6 bottles of these. Three each of EDT and EDP. Gotten them from Malaysia Tatler March 2012 issue. I’ve used up one each of EDT and EDP thus the missing bottle from the picture below. I would purchase a bottle when I’m done with these 4 babies!

Chasing The Bus – Dior Addict Extreme Bus Roadshow that is

In my post about Dior Addict Extreme Bus Roadshow, I mentioned that I’d be at Menara Milenium stop but due to some issue at work I didn’t make it 🙁

However after checking their roadshow schedule again I managed to match one of their stop to my schedule! As I’m gonna be at KLCC for Lancôme’s party in the afternoon, I decided to stop by 1 Utama in the morning to catch the bus!

As I reached the parking of 1 Utama, I was a bit worried that I couldn’t locate the bus. I was expecting the bus to be at old wing open air parking area. As I tagged in with my One Card I couldn’t see the bus in the parking. So as I drive in I peep again at the main entrance and there it is! I spot the bus so I save time walking around looking for it :). Happily I parked my car at Preferred Parking just next to Jusco and walked over to the main entrance.

I spotted 2 Dior girls at the main entrance and I stopped by at one of them, filled up my detail card and I was ushered to the bus.

This friendly guy is my Color Stylist. Didn’t managed to get his name as his name tag is only stating Color Stylist. He’s very nice, explained about Dior Addict Extreme lipstick to me while trying on a color on my lips. I told him I was looking for a nude with pink base lipstick but the Dior girl whom I met earlier had this beautiful pink on her lips and I want that too! I was wearing pink blouse so I thought I can rock pink that day :). So the Color Stylist suggest that I try #486 Cruise from Riviera range. Love it.

Review: Christian Dior Diorsnow Extase Mascara #090 Black

My first Dior mascara! LOL.

Dior is known for their good quality makeups but this mascara; Diorsnow Extase #090 Black is disappointing. I’m glad that I only purchase trial size and not the full size otherwise I’d bang my head on the wall. Among my makeup stash, mascara usually finishes the fastest so I think I could suck it up and force myself to use this until it’s finish?

I wouldn’t say I hated this mascara totally. It’s more like a love and hate relationship. IMHO it totally depends on how you like your lashes to be with mascara. For me I’m into volume, lengthening, strong hold, waterproof, sweat and oil-proof mascara. I can’t have volume and droopy eyelashes right?

Diorsnow Extase #090 Black 4ml – RM28

One thing for sure Dior makeup is always made in a luxury way. Just look at this mascara. It’s good quality gold tube! Looks nice on the eyes, feels good holding it. What’s not to like? And. Despite the one I have is trial size, Dior still stamped their famous “CD” inital on top of the cap/tube.

The brush size however is nothing close to trial size brush. It’s a big fat brush just like normal size. I usually prefer trial size mascara over full size because of the small brush and the length of the applicator. The shorter the easier to apply. Brush is wavy and not straight like others. Cool. I have no problem with the big fat brush with this. There you go. My love for the mascara.

So, why would I say I hated this mascara. This mascara does nothing for lengthening, voluming and holding the lashes. Not even waterproof, sweat and oil-proof. Nil. Zero. Zilch. On the first day I wore this (which is my birthday actually), I prayed hard that this will not smudge. And it did. When I laugh hard and teared a bit, the mascara just melted. While I was driving in hot sun, the mascara melted again. I hate to keep checking the mirror if I have panda eyes!

Pictures below is taken with my old Canon Ixus as I was about to rush to work.

Droopy lashes. No lengthening and the mascara doesn’t hold my lashes curl.

No volume here. If you like clean, straight lashes then this is your mascara.

Looking up. Trying to convince myself that it does hold curl LOL. Fail.

Oh. This reminds me of Stage mascara 😛

In conclusion. If you are like me, this mascara is not for you. If you like clean straight lashes that mascara doesn’t clumped up for volume, then this mascara is for you.

Last Friday I ordered a Miss Dior Chérie L’Eau miniature perfume, the seller sent out on Saturday and I received the parcel on Monday. I never expected the miniature to be this cute!

Miss Dior Chérie L’Eau EDT 5ml – RM36

I love how they store the miniature inside a somehow larger box. I never buy miniature before so I didn’t expect this. It’s so cute even when it’s in the box.

I took out the miniature and here’s how it looks like.

The cutie! Something which I like about miniature. It looks exactly like the full size bottle minus the spray nozzle of course. The small detail is there i.e. the ribbon bow at the cap.

You can see the perfume details through the back of the clear bottle.

I use this cap to dab onto my wrist and neck.

I love the scent very much. The smell is exactly as described in Dior website. My Victoria’s Secret Delicate Petals has been discontinued and I’ve been searching for a floral perfume and most of the perfume that is available is all fruity scent and it’s too sweet for me. I bought this miniature to try before getting the full size bottle.
However the scent doesn’t last long. The scent will be gone by the time I reach my office parking which is about 1 hour after dabbing. I wish they make it more lasting though.
