Let’s be frank here. I am not a tea person. I love my coffee. Tea? Well, I am okay with a cup or two once in a while when I am not feeling well but I would prefer to hold a coffee mug. I took the plunge (sacrifice coffee for tea) and invested in SkinnyMint TeaTox. It is one of the tea detox thingamajig that took the world by storm overnight from various skinny model endorsement. You know what? Lifestyle Sunday: Shell Electric Run 2016 Post-Run Report

I have been running for quite a bit. Most of my running event participation as you’re aware are mainly focusing on charitable runs 🙂 . The only non-charitable running event I participated is the Nike We Run KL 2016 21km run, which is my first memorable half marathon run that I should blog about but I chose not to. I did however share some of the lessons learnt on my other site Modern Mavens. Click this link if you want to read on it 🙂

This Shell Electric Run 2016 however I must blog about. It is my first night run, my first Shell Electric Run, and also my first most epic wet, slippery, muddy, and slushy run. And of course it is a charitable run as well as I was running not for Shell but for Rexona who partnered with Electric Run to raise RM100,000 for five disability charities.

The third edition of PUMA Night Run Malaysia is making a comeback this 20th August 2016 and this time around the organizer have decided to held the biggest Night Run event to date at the Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam instead of Setia Alam. This will be the biggest run for PUMA with 10,000 participants expected.

The prizes are also generous this year. There are RM12,000 worth of prizes to be given away. Top finishers of the men and women categories will each receive RM2,500 worth of PUMA vouchers, while second-placed runners in both categories will receive RM2,000 worth of PUMA vouchers. Third-placed runners in both categories will each receive RM1,500 worth of PUMA vouchers.

Lifestyle Sunday: Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2016 Back For The 8th Installment To Elevates Competition and Improves Running Experience

Race owner and organiser of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2016 (SCKLM), Dirigo Events announced today that runner’s registration will begin from Tuesday, 15th March 2016. This year marks SCKLM’s eighth installation and will take place on Sunday, 7th August at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur.

A new staggered registration system will be introduced to ensure a better registration experience for runners as it simplifies the online registration process and lessens the chances of web-traffic congestion. In addition, participants of SCKLM 2015 will be given priority to register for the 2016 event due to last year’s race cancellation caused by the haze.

Lifestyle Sunday: IOI City Mall Run 2016

IOI City Mall Run 2016
IOI City Mall is like 5-10 minutes of drive from my house and it is 8.1km away (based on Waze). A few days ago I jokingly said this is the only running event I can run from my house to the starting line and run for another 6.4km! 😀 . The theme? Keep Up with Your New Year’s Resolutions and Run for Better Health.

Following from previous success in organising community activities such as the IOI Eco Fun Ride at 16 Sierra, Puchong, this time the mall’s management will be having the IOI City Mall Run 2016, opened to all Malaysians of 18 years old and above.
