Japanese Magazine Ray Magazine Review: Magazine Ryza

Ray April 2011 X Ryza 2-Way Pouch/Bag

Picked up Ray April 2011 magazine that comes with a Ryza 2-way satin pouch which also could be a mini bag. Magazine is retailing at RM47.65

Ray April 2011 X Ryza 2-Way satin pouch / mini bag.

Blurp on magazine front cover.

Brand item packaging looks normal but the side is with flower patterns.

The back.

The pouch is securely stored in a clear plastic bag and in a brown box.

The bag is well made. The satin is very soft but sturdy when felt with fingers. The only downside is the bag is very very small. Just like a wristlet size. Even the employee at Kino said that this is small lol.

The gold chain could be detach out whenever you like. Everything is well made except for the gold zipper pull. Metal feels light.

I’m particularly liking the gold chain strap. However I couldn’t stop thinking if this would change colour in anytime soon.

I was shocked to see the pipping in the inner pouch! Look at this. No ending sewing done?? Or they forgot?

Every single angle I look at I saw this bad ending sewing of the pipping. Sigh.

Coming out in May 2011 issue. I really wanted the Jill Stuart multicase from Como March 2011 issue and I’ve waited and waited for weeks only to find out that it’s sold? Too bad Kino wouldn’t restock it. They only brought in 2 copies! Aiyo yoooo. So I placed my reservation for this instead. Not my first choice but what to do. . .

Japanese Magazine Review: Magazine Saita Magazine

Saita January 2011 X Indoor Ballet Slipper & Pouch

This magazine was launched in Japan on 7th December 2010 and I didn’t saw this until today. I thought Kinokuniya Malaysia didn’t bring this in. Spotting this magazine is just at the right time was I was looking for socks and indoor slipper.

Saita January 2011 X Indoor Ballet Slipper & Pouch. Magazine is retailing at RM35.35.

Lovely blurp on magazine front cover. Just to confirmed that the brand item is exactly the same as the picture on the cover.

This packaging is cute and different from others. Nice huh :). It looks like those baby clothes in a box thingy.

Back of the brand item packaging.

Plastic bag is removed and the shoe and pouch is nicely placed inside a box.

Closed-up view on the material and the ribbon bow.

View on the inner of the slipper. The insole is nicely sewn and sturdy looking 🙂

The slipper sole looks like rubber but I think it’s like half rubber?

Opps. I forgot to take picture of the pouch :(. The pouch material is the same with the slipper outer material. The slipper can be bend easily. To store this slipper in the pouch provided, just fold the slipper in half like this.

Gently put the slipper in the pouch.

It doesn’t matter if you fold both side together or 1 by 1 before putting in the pouch. In this case, I folded both together.

Pull the drawstring together and voilà!

I never take picture of the brand item from the magazine so here’s an exceptional case. I thought it looks nice.

Isn’t this cute to the max??

Japanese Magazine Liz Lisa Love Berry Magazine Review: Magazine

Love Berry January 2011 X Liz Lisa Socks & Satin Pouch

Saw this magazine weeks ago and I was tempted to get either this Liz Lisa “moco moco” socks or Gelato Pique one from More magazine January 2011 issue. I couldn’t make up my mind even after going to peep a few times so I gave myself a reason not to get it…which is “I don’t wear socks to sleep” haha. But with our current cold and windy weather nowadays, I decided to get it. Everyday I wake up to a very cold weather. My floor is cold, shower is too cold. Everything is cold. Mum told me to choose from Daiso last Saturday but I don’t want just any socks as I’d want to buy a “moco moco” socks IF I were to buy a pair of socks.

When I arrived Kinokuniya this morning, I still didn’t know which to get. I saw another magazine with a pair of indoor ballet slipper which I’ve been eyeing on since last month from other blog (I’ll blog about that after this post) which I bought too. I’m wearing the slipper as I type this hehehe. Finally after comparing both Liz Lisa and Gelato Pique socks, I decided to get Liz Lisa one.

Love Berry January 2011 X Liz Lisa Moco-Moco Socks & Satin Pouch. Magazine is retailing at RM32.45.

Blurp on magazine cover. Brand item is exactly the same with the one on the cover which is rare.

Brand item packaging.

After you removed the plastic cover, there’s a brown cardboard protecting the socks. The socks is covered by another clear plastic bag.

Liz Lisa moco-moco socks! I choose this also due to the fact that I love pink and blue combination. The colour combi is just nice.

Up-close view of the fluffy moco-moco material and on each outer side of the socks, there’s a bow with Liz Lisa all around.

A satin pouch is also included to store the socks or you can put anything you like in this pouch. In my case I’d be putting the pair of socks in.

To store the socks in the satin pouch, just fold the socks in half.

Gently and slowly put the socks in the pouch.

Like this.

And pull the drawstring to tighten the pouch!

Lemme share with you the pictures of the brand item from the magazine.

Here’s me wearing the super comfy pair of Liz Lisa moco-moco socks!

Who say you can’t get Liz Lisa stuff in Malaysia? =)

Gelato Pique Japanese Magazine Review: Magazine Spring Magazine

Gelato Pique 3-Pc Set from Spring August 2010

2 weeks ago I bump into an online seller selling all sorts of japanese magazine freebies but without the magazine. I browsed thru her page and all the tote bag is kinda expensive. Towards the end of her page there’s all sorts of pouch which I’ve never seen before. Something caught my eye among all. 3-pc set of Gelato Pique brand item from Spring Magazine August 2010 issue! A set cost only RM15 with FOC Registered Post shipping and I bought 2 sets and upgraded my free shipping to Skynet courier. Even with that my overall spent for 2 sets is even cheaper than buying just a magazine at Kinokuniya. I don’t know why. I love to buy everything double recently. Another reason for me to get 2 sets of these is I want the scrunchie to set curls when I sleep haha.

Gelato Pique set from Spring August 2010 issue. This set of 3-pc comes with a pouch, a matching scrunchie and a matching handkerchief.

The pouch.

Matching scrunchie and handkerchief inside the pouch.

Happy family.

Gelato Pique brand logo on the front of the pouch.

Matching scrunchie. So cute, fluffy and soft. With the brand item logo sewn on it makes the scrunchie look different from normal scrunchie.

Brand item logo on the scrunchie close-up.

Matching handkerchief. It’s very small and feels thin though. Not so sure what I’m gonna do with this haha.

Brand item logo sewn at the corner of the handkerchief. You can actually hook this up using the logo tab.

One thing weird is that the overall yellowish beige colour makes the pouch look old and used. I’ve tried smelling everything *lol* for so long and everything smell new though.

Chinese Magazine Cosmetic Surgery & Beauty Magazine CUTiE Magazine English Magazine HbG iS CLINICAL Japanese Magazine Queen 5th Anniversary Queen Magazine Review: Magazine

Magazine Haul – 3rd Week Dec

This week magazine haul is rather different. I picked up 1 each for Japanese, Chinese and English!

Haul of the day for the week.

Finally I managed to pick up a magazine copy which comes with a HbG tote bag. I wasn’t liking the previous freebies print but this is nice. I just hope the size is bigger that’s all. The tote is very well-made and sturdy. I encounter zero problem with glue stain, stitching etc haha. Surprisingly the material is kinda hard so the tote could stand on it’s own. As soon as I took the pictures below, I went out with mum and I used the bag. I was a bit nervous to bring out the bag from my room as I bought too much of everything lately. Mum says it’s not that small. Just nice for a quick outing.

CUTiE January 2011 X HbG tote bag. Magazine retailing at RM39.35.

Blurp on cover.

Brand item packaging.

This is how the tote folded inside the brown cardboard box cover.

Presenting. . .HbG tote bag!

Brand tag sewn on the bag which is different from other brand item. Normally they just print the brand name on the bag or pouch. This is different. Makes the bag feels expensive.

There’s 3 pockets on the outside of the bag. Mum was suprised to see that extra pockets

Ahh. The bag also comes with closure button which is a plus point!

Interior lining is purple.

As I entered Kino entrance, I notice the huge promo poster has changed to a new promo. This time it’s Cosmetic Surgery & Beauty magazine freebies! With purchase of the magazine, we are getting a goodie bag with lots of stuff (you can see what’s the goodie from the poster). Goodie bag is redeemable at cashier counter upon paying. I totally forgot about this and only realize I missed this magazine when I was about to leave. Immediately I grabbed a copy and headed to cashier counter.

Cosmetic Surgery & Beauty December 2010 X iS CLINICAL 9-pcs skincare. Magazine retailing at RM20.

From left to right: Cleansing Complex, C Eye Advance, C-15 Serum Advance, C&E Serum Advance, Poly Vitamin Serum, Firming Complex, Eye Complex (sachet), Moisturizing Complex (sachet) & Youth Complex (sachet).

Should have bought a few set more 🙁 🙁

Finally spotted Queen magazine with freebies! I never seen any before but I’ve seen from the tv show. Then I found out that there’s 2 type of stock. One batch comes with freebies and the other is without freebies. No wonder I never seen any.
I spotted this on the “preview” rack. I grabbed from the rack after realizing there’s none left at the magazine section. It was the last copy. Then I spotted another Queen magazine with another freebies which is a wristlet pouch and I grabbed it too. Reason being? It’s the last copy too! After a few rounding I realize I don’t need the wristlet pouch. I had too many. So I put it back for another lucky girl to discover it =)

The one I grabbed comes with Queen 5th Anniversary cosmetic pouch.

Queen Fall Winter 2010 X Queen 5th Anniversary cosmetic pouch. Magazine retailing at RM32.58.

Belly band on the bottom of the magazine indicating the brand item is included.

Unlike japanese magazine brand item, this brand item is just packed in a clear plastic bag only.

I don’t know why my pouch is not aligned properly. It’s slanted to a side no matter how I adjust it. Could it be that the pouch has been squashed in the middle of the magazine for too long or it’s workmanship issue? Anyway, the material outside is satin. Very soft.

Gold 5th Anniversary zipper pull at 1 side.

Normal gold zipper pull at the other side.

First side inner view. Looks OK. Wait till you see the other side.

The other side is bad.

What is that plastic thing anyway? And it’s not properly cut at all.

I like the Agnes B pouch which comes with Elle Singapore November 2010 magazine or the Agnes B pouch from Elle Hong Kong. Too bad we at Malaysia doesn’t have this privilege.

Biteki Magazine Coach Deicy Dia Daisy Magazine Gisele Magazine Japanese Magazine Kitty Lab Neal's Yard Remedies Review: Magazine Sakura Magazine

Japanese Magazine Haul!

Yesterday as usual I drove to Kinokuniya to check out the latest arrival of japanese magazine. Nothing really interest me this time. The one I wanted is expensive. The one I don’t want is rather cheap. Then I remembered the bargain corner so I went to take a peep and I snagged 3 magazine at a bargain price in less than 5 minutes!

Here’s my haul of the day. . .

Biteki July 2010, Sakura July 2010 & Dia Daisy July 2010.

As my eyes were looking at the bargain corner, I was looking for any bulky magazine. At first I was disappointed as all the magazines are thin which means there are no brand item available. Suddenly I spotted a huge and bulky magazine stuck in between all the thin magazine. I slipped in my finger to peep at the cover and I saw the blurp! It’s a Hello Kitty flip flop and I thought I was dreaming. Quickly I picked up the copy and I take my sweet time looking at the blurp and the hidden box inside the mag just to confirm the brand item. Dia Daisy July issue comes with a pair of Kitty Lab flip flop is at a clearance price of RM15. Usually magazines which is at bargain corner is only RM10. I even spotted before more than 10 copies of Spring April 2010 issue which comes wich Jill Stuart tote bag. Anyway, I was worried about the size of the flip flop at first. There’s a small caption of “(24cm)” at the blurp which indicate the length of the flip flop. I remembered my size is around 24cm too. But I care less if the flip flop fits me or not. It’s a rare find! And cheap too =)

Dia Daisy July 2010 X Kitty Lab Flip Flop & Anklet (oh yea, I only found out that an anklet is included when I opened the box at home!).

The blurp which caught my attention. I say this many many times before. . .these blurp kills me! So nice!

Kitty Lab flip flop comes in a box, not those brown cardboard box packing. Nice right?

Back of the brand item box.

How the flip flop was packed in the box. Very neat and well protected.

Tadaaaaaa. Kitty Lab flip flop. So cute! I love it inside out, left and right, up and down *lol*

Kitty Lab logo.

The anklet included. It has an initial “D” on the love pendant. Unfortunately I took the picture upside down haha.

My best, cheap, most thrilling purchase of the day! The flip flop is sooo well made and looks exactly like the blurp picture. Really really worth it right?

Immediately right after I found Dia Daisy, I found this! Nearly missed it as the brand item box is very very small and thin. It was hard to spot on in between all the magazine though. Luckily I flip through one by one. Sakura July 2010 issue comes with Deicy clear makeup pouch is selling at RM10. I was looking for a pouch and I need not to spend RM40-RM50 this week for a pouch. This is just nice. I actually thought the pouch is huge but nope. It’s smaller than usual. Nevertheless, the size is OK for me.

Sakura July 2010 X Deicy clear makeup pouch.

Blurp of brand item on front cover. I couldn’t resist pouches!

Brand item box and packing.

Deicy pouch in brown cardboard. I just realize the 2 love resemble a specs >.< The cute pouch itself.

Back of the pouch is beige polka dots.

Initial “d” on the zipper pull.

Another great find! Yippy! The pouch looks exactly like the blurp picture on front cover. It’s very well made. Not those cheapo and flimsy pouch at all.

As I was about to leave the bargain corner, I spotted this out of the sudden. Biteki July 2010 issue comes with Neal’s Yard Remedies Rejuvenating Frankincense Facial Serum and notepad is selling at RM12. You know how I love skincare as well so I bought this too.

Biteki July 2010 X Neal’s Yard Remedies Rejuvenating Frankincense Facial Serum and notepad.

Brand item blurp on front cover. I kept on wondering what’s the blue and green thingy.

It comes in a box though.

Back of the box is similar to front of the box.

This is how the inside looks like. Ahh so the blue and green thingy is a notepad.

Neal’s Yard Remedies Rejuvenating Frankincense Facial Serum. I haven’t try this so I don’t know if it’s good.

First half of the notepad is blue.

Second half is green.

Mum said “cheh” when I showed her. But to me this is another good find though.

Guess what else is in my shopping bag?

I spotted a copy of GISELe December 2010 issue which comes with Coach Poppy 2011 diary. I bought another copy for a client friend of mine who asked me to get her a copy a few weeks ago. This is now selling at RM50.85.
