Book Chinese Magazine Elle Taiwan Magazine English Magazine Review: Magazine Women's Weekly Magazine

Haul from Kinokuniya

After a few weeks not visiting Kinokuniya, I came home with these.

Elle Wedding Taiwan comes with Majiami sample in a can case – RM29.31
The one I got is purple can case as that’s the only one Kinokuniya have.
There’s 4 colours to chose from according to the back of the supplement box.

This is a beautiful can case with a diamond-like feature.

There’s description on the back of the case but it’s a sticker which was pasted on the shrink wrap.

To my surprise the manufacture date is 18th Aug 2009!
Upon opening the case, I was delighted with how neat it is. A leaflet was also included. Read on.

A mirror is attached on the lid! How delighted.

Another surprise I get once I moved the leaflet. The sample tubes were arranged nicely and it’s not sachet or whatever.

Eye Circle Concealer with SPF 30 1.5ml, Instant Brightening Corrector 2.5ml

Instant Wrinkle Eraser 3ml, Incredible Make-up Base with SPF 50 6ml

I also picked up a copy of local Womens Weekly magazine June 2011 issue. The magazine is priced at RM5.80. I wanted to enrol to Clarins youthful body workshop which is why I bought it.

The freebies in the magazine is just a sachet of Protex 24 hours antibacterial protection and a packet of Kleenex Ultra Soft tissue.

Along with this I also grabbed a copy of Marley & Me! I spotted this book on the shelf while I was walking towards the cashier counter. I love reading books but I read too fast therefore I seldom buy any books as it’d be a waste for me.

Marley & Me by John Grogan – RM32.90

So cute!!!

I’ll start my reading on these 3 magazines and book tomorrow 🙂

Japanese Magazine Mina Magazine Review: Magazine Snidel

Mina June 2011 X Snidel Multi Case

Picked up Mina June 2011 issue today at Kinokuniya KLCC. This issue comes with Snidel multi case which is something that I was looking forward to all this while. I placed my reservation a month ago when I found out about this issue.

Mina June 2011 X Snidel Multi Case cost me RM40.65 after Isetan member 5% discount. Original price is RM42.80.

As this is the 10th Anniversary Year issue, this is a double cover edition!

Supplement blurp on magazine front cover. I’m still liking their nicely done huge blurp.

The supplement packaging remain the same like any other magazine supplement.

But. . .one thing is missing though. The multi case is not wrap with a plastic bag before placing into the cardboard box.

The multi case is made from gorgeous peach colour polyester with polka dots. However I’m a lil disappointed that the case is not properly align before sewing making the design of the polka dots tilted to one side.
Compared with the previous Tsumori Chisato Multi Case that I bought, this is much more thinner material without padding inside unlike Tsumori Chisato one.

Once again, the brand label is also not properly align before sewing!! *slap forehead*

I don’t like to see the zipper end sticking out like that. It looks ugly. I tried sticking it inside but I have difficulties zipping the case. How? I never had this problem with Tsumori Chisato multi case.

The weirdest thing which I don’t understand is although the case is in peach colour, the zip is in mint green or light green colour. Weird right?

Here is the inside view. I love the compartment of this case though! I don’t get this many slots in Tsumori Chisato multi case but I’m glad this is different. This is the main reason why I got it.

I’m not so into japanese magazine anymore though. I can’t clarify why. My only guess is I’m tired with the same freebies i.e. tote bag, cosmetic case, mirror, canvas bag, small bag.

CanCam Magazine Japanese Magazine Proportion Body Dressing Review: Magazine

CanCam May 2011 X Proportion Body Dressing Bag Cover

Picked up CanCam May 2011 issue today at Kinokuniya KLCC which comes with Proportion Body Dressing bag cover. The magazine is retailing at RM45.55 and I paid RM43.25 after Isetan member 5% discount.

The magazine was selling fast. I remembered seeing around 10 copies and luckily there’s still 2 copies left. It has been raining so frequent recently and although I have “Apple Garde” my bag I still don’t like rain hitting my bag. And I was soaked in rain just to save my bag even under the umbrella lol.

Supplement blurp on main cover showing very clearly the usage of the supplement. Just in case some people thought this is recycle bag.

The packaging of the supplement is just like any other supplement of a typical japanese magazine.

The bag cover is covered in a normal plastic. It doesn’t bother me as I need not to be worried about damaged brand item during transit from Japan.

Here is how the bag cover looks like after stucking the whole thing in the attached storage section. I like the idea. It’s easy for storage in the bag and so convenient to bring around.

Tadaaa. This is how it looks like on my Coach Op Art Sateen Hailey.

Burt's Bees English Magazine Marie Claire Magazine Review: Magazine

Marie Claire April 2011 X Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lipbalm

Last Thursday I dropped by Kinokuniya KLCC during lunch time to pick up a reserved japanese magazine which I decided not to buy it in the end (opps! sorry!) and I picked up this instead. The funny part is my sales rep, Karen picked up the same magazine at 1 Utama! What a coincident.

Marie Claire April 2011 issue comes with a Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lipbalm worth RM18. The magazine cost is only RM7. The main reason for me to get this is because of the unique packaging. I wanna check out what other magazine is doing with their creative buy ideas. I think what Marie Claire did is really brilliant. I love their recycle bag idea!

Here’s the creative buy. The front view.

The back view.

Supplement blurp on front cover. A huge one.

The lipbalm is glued onto a small white cardboard which was glued to their full page advert. Ok. This part looks ugly. I wouldn’t do that. Basically the lipbalm is stuck out and you can actually feel the lipbalm from outside. The reason is they don’t want to make the magazine bulky so they just stuck it like that.

The lipbalm included. There was 5 flavour and I have gotten Passion Fruit flavour.

The part which I always like. The seal on the cap. You need to twist the cap to break the seal. After I broke the seal, I tore off the excess.

The lipbalm is milky white colour and very hard. I don’t like the texture and I don’t like the smell. The lipbalm makes my lips whitish like a ghost haha. I wouldn’t wear it out alone though. So I only apply this before I go to sleep. I still prefer Hada Labo’s Lip Moisturizer which I wore all the time even with my lipstick or lip gloss as the base.

Coach Japanese Magazine Mina Magazine Review: Magazine

Mina April 2011 X Coach Stationery Set

Pick up Mina April 2011 issue on last Sunday. Mina is collaborating with Coach this time and the supplement is a Coach stationery set. I paid RM40.65 after Isetan member 5% discount which is rather bizarre as the supplement is afterall Coach.

Mina April 2011 X Coach stationery set.

Blurp on magazine front cover indicating what is the supplement included in the issue.

Supplement comes in a box but a soft box.

Back of the box (I normally ignore this part).

This is how the tin case is in the soft box. There’s a few lines of hard cardboard around it to prevent the tin case moving around inside the box. The tin case is wrapped with a transparent plastic to prevent the tin case from scratches.

The upside and downside design of the tin case is different. This is the design on one side. The measurement of the case is vertical 7.5cm × side 10.5cm × height 2.5cm.

This is the design on the other side.

I was greeted by a wonderful colour purple upon opening the tin case. However the inside of the tin case is full with scratches. I wonder how the scratches got there.

Included is a sticker which says “Coach”, “Loves”, “Poppy”.

The mini booklet is pretty! It is measuring at vertical 6cm × side 8.5cm.

Memo pad is also cute. Measurement is slightly smaller than the mini booklet at vertical 5cm × side 8cm.

This is definitely a collectible item for me 😉

Chinese Magazine Review: Magazine Vogue Magazine

Vogue China March 2011

Dropped by KLCC yesterday to pick up my cheque book from Maybank. I decided to take a peep at Kinokuniya on what’s the new arrival and I spotted this magazine at the Chinese magazine section.

Vogue China March 2011 comes with 4-pieces of PVC pouch – RM30

Back view – a SKII notebook is also included!

Magazine free gift notification on a side of polybag.

Another notification on the other side.

Supplement that was included. Pouches are nicely pack in another polybag with a cardboard at the back as support.

All 4 pouches size was indicated at the other side of the polybag.

The larges pouch is in striking Pink colour with a huge “Vogue” word on it. Pouch measures at 320 x 230 x 0.3mm.

3 out of 4 pouches is a ziplock pouch.

Second large pouch is in milky White colour. Pouch measures at 220x150x0.3mm. The pouch was stained with green colouring from the Green pouch :(. There’s a breakage at the ziplock and I exchanged with a new one this afternoon.

Third pouch is a striking Green pouch. It measures at 150x100x0.3mm. I plan to keep all my traveling bills for claim with this pouch.

Smallest and 4th item is not really a pouch but a tag or card holder. It is in striking Orange colour. This measures at 65x95x0.3mm.

Also included with this magazine is a SKII notebook.

Simple back cover just like the front.

Let me share with you what seems like a hand painting pictures inside the notebook. Enjoy.
