Estée Lauder Make Up - Lips Review: Make Up

Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick: So comfortable on the lips that you won’t remember you had any on

Last year, Estée Lauder Malaysia launched an Asia exclusive Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick, where everywhere else was Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick. The shine version has more moisture and a healthy sheen to it and understandably, we had entered into the “matte” trend whereas the less sheen the better! Just a few months ago, Estée Lauder brought in Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick. With all the good reviews surrounding this version of lipstick, I was intrigued to find out myself if this is better than the shine version or they are as equally good.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Envious
I received the most compliments when I’m wearing a red lipstick. I’m more of a mauve shade girl as I always feel insecure with my thick lips. Surprisingly everyone I know like to see me with red lipstick so here I am. I don’t own a lot of red lipstick. The Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Envious is probably my 2nd red lipstick 😀 .

CATRICE Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette: A hit and miss budget-friendly rose-nude palette

CATRICE is my most favourite drugstore brand. Most of the products are below RM20 and some are not even over RM30. When it’s on sale at Guardian, everything is from less than RM10 to less than RM20. Super affordable and good.

A few months ago, CATRICE brought in a few new Absolute eyeshadow palette namely Absolute Rose, Absolute Bright, and Absolute Matt (this one I’m not sure). Within the Absolute family, I am more attracted to the rose-nude shades of Absolute Rose as it reminds me of Urban Decay Naked 3 😀 . I have been tracking Absolute Rose palette down for a while and later on spotted them on 30% discount a month ago at Guardian KLCC.

Catrice Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette
The palette is originally priced at RM26.90. Even without discount, it is still a pretty decent and affordable eyeshadow palette to get. I wouldn’t worry if I’m you. CATRICE products are constantly on sale, either 15% OFF or 30% OFF (sometimes) so don’t worry if you’d miss out the sale. I just happened to bumped into some crazy sale happening at Guardian where all cosmetics are on 30% discount. In the end, I only paid RM18.85 for this. Score!

Breena Beauty Make Up - Beauty Tools Review: Make Up

Breena Beauty Face Luxe Brush: Foundation routine done in just 1 minute and 16 seconds, or less!

I don’t know about you but I am very particular with my makeup brushes. I have several different type, size and shape brushes for one section of my face. That is because I go through phases with makeup brushes just like how I go through phases with makeup products. One day I may like flat foundation brush, the next week I’m feeling flat top kabuki, the following week duo fibre brush and so on. Lately I’m on a beauty shopping diet. That means I have to do “stash” shopping. I probably had own this Breena Beauty Face Luxe Brush (thank you Breena Beauty for sending this!) for a few months now and all along I’ve been using it only for finishing powder as I learnt that the brush is the best brush for powder and it give an airbrush finishing.

It all went well until last week. I was in a rush to do my makeup (what’s new) and this brush was calling out for my name. I reach out for it thinking it’s a huge brush so I can get my base makeup down in a few minutes. It’s a good thing I washed it the week before. All hell break loose because this brush is THE best brush for liquid foundation! Ignore every brush you had, your HG brush, your most reached brush as this Face Luxe Brush is about to change your life. It changed mine.

Breena Beauty Face Luxe Brush
First of all, this brush is actually the brainchild behind blogger Sabrina Tajudin. It is their first debut brush and they are currently coming out with more brushes so do lookout for it at Breena Beauty website, aight? The Face Luxe Brush is huge and heavy. It does give this luxe feel to it due to the (1) weight, (2) the rose gold ferrule, and (3) the white handle.

BB Cream L'Occitane Make Up - Face Review: Make Up

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious BB Cream SPF 30: I gave my heart away to this Western everlasting flower-infused BB Cream in 1, 2, 3

Most people opt to go with BB Cream whenever they don’t feel like having much makeup on, but not me. I would either go with all or nothing at all 😀 . BB Cream (especially Korean brand) is my least favourite base makeup as they are too oily for my skin. It’s not a secret that I’m all about matte skin. Having said that, I actually kinda like Western version of BB Cream. They suit my skin and preference so well. And when I said Western BB Cream, that includes this NEW L’Occitane Immortelle Precious BB Cream SPF 30.

L'Occitane Immortelle Precious BB Cream SPF 30
Funny thing is, I was all hyped up on L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream as CC Cream is my absolute favourite so when I started using this Immortelle Precious BB Cream, I was speechless. It’s unlike those BB Cream that I hate and I think I just smack myself for declaring my love for CC Cream loudly last week because I like this BB Cream too! Oh boy 😀 . I should have known better Western BB Cream NEVER fail. On me at least 😉

L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20: Adapting a French CC Cream for the no makeup makeup look

My friends find me weird when I told them I am not into BB Cream but I am a huge CC Cream fan. That is because I used to have very oily skin and BB Cream makes my skin even oilier, and CC Cream in general are more matte thus the love for CC Cream. Let’s just say I have better luck with CC Cream than BB Cream in the past.

When L’Occitane sent me the NEW L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20 (aka CC Cream), I was jumping up and down like a kid high on sugar.

The NEW L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20 comes in two shades – Light and Medium. The one I have is Light and it matches my skin tone perfectly.

L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist: Feeding the face mist craving with a touch of peony flower for the mid-day fix on the go

In my mind I already had a plan to review the NEW L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist together with Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20 (CC Cream) and photos were already taken a month ago but when I look back at my photos, I had to kick myself for forgetting to take a photo of both products together. So that explains why I will only talk about Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist alone today without the CC Cream. But fret not, the review for CC Cream will follow next 😉

Now let’s turn our attention back to one of my current craze at the moment – face mist. I am so into face mist now. The L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist landed on my desk at the right time.

L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist
You might think all face mist are more or less the same. Well, true to an extend but I always believe each face mist are different or unique in their own way. Pivoine Sublime is one of the many range under L’Occitane. Not all of the range under the brand has a face mist. The Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist happened to be a new extension under the range. This face mist is a multi-purpose beauty mist that refreshes, beautify, tone, hydrates, helps to refine skin texture and fixes make-up at any time of the day. Sounds like a all-in-one wonder face mist, eh?
