Budget Buy – Eye & Face Make-up Removers

A few weeks ago I asked you a question in Facebook if you are willing to spend on expensive makeup remover and most of you said you’re not willing to. There’s a reason behind the question actually. A year ago not only I’m not willing to spend on expensive skin care and makeup I definitely won’t splurge on makeup removers. After spending so much on expensive makeup removers I’m cutting down a bit on the splurge side while implementing some budget buy in.

I’ve grabbed some of the best budget makeup removers from a local drugstore; Watsons that I’ve tried previously. Here’s what I think.

Review: I Can See Myself Using RMK Extra Deep W Mascara For Long

Those that know me personally would know I can never go out without mascara. I always said I can skip eyeliner but I cannot skip mascara. A lil odd from the rest but yeah I’m a mascara girl. If I have time I’d do both. If I need to choose…mascara would be it.

The quest to find a suitable mascara for ownself is never ending. If you could recall a few months back I was invited by the lovely Joy from RMK Malaysia for a full makeover with Adrian Sin. If not you might wanna check out my transformation here *wink*. That was my first encounter with the iconic mascara; Extra Deep W. I went back to RMK counter to buy a few product and I managed to grab the last tube from the counter.

After a few months of using and a few times of taking the product shots, I’m finally satisfied with the new batch of photos and I’m ready to tell you what I think.

RMK Extra Deep W Mascara comes in a silver, heavy, shiny double-ended tube. So shiny that I need to use two flowers to get rid of the reflection from my camera LOL. For the price that you pay for this mascara…I can assure you it is indeed a luxurious well-made tube.

So what’s up with the double-ended tube? Well, one end is the mascara while the other end is the fibrous base for volume and length. Something which I rarely see nowadays. I never fancy double-ended mascara previously mainly because the base is WHITE. This RMK one are not. I’m sold.

Review: Flawless Face with BeautéCa™ Beauty Sponge

Not a pro in doing makeup? No worries. All you need is a beauty sponge!

Today I’m going to review a Beauty Blender dupe for applying liquid foundation which is equally high performance as the original one. The original Beauty Blender is not accessible here in Malaysia that easily. So far I only saw an online store selling and it’s expensive! I’m not gonna spend near to RM200 for a sponge LOL! Just in case you’re wondering what the heck is Beauty Blender sponge? Here you go.

The dupe; BeautéCa™ beauty sponge is available at SaSa outlet for RM12+. Can’t remember the exact price. It comes in a few colors. My first is blue. I went back 2 weeks after that to get a pink. I actually took the product picture long time ago. Kinda lazy to retake so bear with me on the picture quality 😛

The packaging is nothing luxurious. Don’t expect it to be like how Beauty Blender is packaged ya.

The first time I read the description on the back, I couldn’t understand how to use it properly as I wasn’t paying attention. After reading for the second time I finally get it.

Make Up Tips – Mistake Proof Two Tone Eyeshadow

A different tips post today. In today’s tips sharing I wanted to share with you a secret of mine when it comes to applying eyeshadow. Before I start…DISCLAIMER time. Please take note this is just an old method that I’ve been using for my own self which I think is useful to be share out. It may or may not be your liking so don’t judge me 😛

Back to topic. Have you ever wonder how to do that perfect extended eyeshadow? Now you don’t have to wonder anymore. Below is a step by step pictorial and guide on how I normally do my two tone extended eyeshadow. It’s a lil trick that I picked up some time ago and has been practicing it since then. This mistake proof secret is the reason that I’m willing to do my eyeshadow every morning 🙂

It’s also a good time to review this Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow palette GWP that was given to me during one of my purchases a few months ago. I’m going to use only 3 colors from the palette as numbered below.

First thing first, apply your usual eyeshadow primer all over your eyelid. In my case I’m using Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion #Original (UDPP). I normally apply slightly more on the crease cause even with UDPP, eyeshadow still smudge on me.

Review: The Multi-Task Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

I said I’ll be back with Clarins review and here I am!

This is a pending review that I’ve always wanted to blog about but slipped my mind because I don’t use it everyday. I’m not supposed to use it everyday. To explain that further, be prepared to get confused like I did when I first googled for reviews on this product.

Clarins has been undergoing logo and packaging revamp since last year. Slowly range by range changed packaging and to my delight Beauty Flash Balm is one of it. Previous tube is short and fat while new tube is tall and slim. There is no changes with the ml just in case you’re wondering. It’s still same ol 50ml.

Review: Sampar Glamour Shot – The Transparent Foundation for the Weekend

How many of you give your skin a break from skin care and makeup? I DO! *raise hand*

As you know I like to layer my skin care day and night and I decided to give my skin a break from all the skin care on weekend. The same goes to makeup. On weekend I mainly do my quick shopping so no makeup is needed. Believe this or not…I’ve been practicing this “break” ever since I started with Clarins. And to answer some of your question; no it’s not weird at all. I found out I’m not the only one. A blogger from Singapore did the same too! *high 5 girl!*

The question is. How about the days on weekend that I actually need to meet someone or when I need to do my beauty rounding at KLCC but not willing to put on makeup? I’ve found the foundation that is not only transparent but covers my pores, fine lines, broken capillaries and some of the redness. Sounds promising? Let me introduce you to Sampar Glamour Shot.

As I only receive a small sample of this, I need to be extra careful in the application on first and second use to get the result. There’s no room for error so I’m feeling a bit stress LOL.

Here’s a snap shot on the technology called the Urban Advance behind this transparent foundation which was developed by Sampar founder; Patrick Sounigo.
