Review: A Complete Double Cleansing Ritual with DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and DHC Mild Soap

I’m sure we all know that we should always double cleanse especially when we have makeup on. I have always been an avid cleansing milk user. I am not a great fan of cleansing oil until I discover a pretty good one a few months ago and the rest is history. You can say that I’m sort of neglecting cleansing milk at the moment as I’m still pretty hooked on to cleansing oil 😀

There is one teeny weeny problem with cleansing oil. It always leave a trail of oil after rinsing. I have friends telling me that some brand sting their eyes as they are also using cleansing oil to remove their eye makeup. I never had that because I always believe in using a separate eye makeup remover for the eye 🙂

I’m also sure that you have heard about the brand DHC right? This brand is the #1 direct skincare company in Japan and it is exclusively available only at Watsons store. I had the rare opportunity to try out the highly raved Deep Cleansing Oil together with Mild Soap as Double Cleansing Ritual recently. Let’s just say it totally changed my mind on cleansing oil since then.

When Clarisonic first came into the beauty world, everyone went crazy. For the first few years we here at Malaysia doesn’t have the luxury to purchase it off the store so many travel oversea for holiday and brought back. Back then I have no idea what was they hype all about. I mean it’s only for cleansing the face. I don’t get what’s the hoo haa about. To spend close to RM600 for a device to clean the face? Not for me. No way I’m going to spend that much on a hand-held device to wash my face. The best part is after reading all the redness and breakout from using Clarisonic, people still go continue to go crazy.

Ever since my skin allergy attack I have to be careful with what I use on my face. When I first heard about this Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System, I went blank a while trying to think if Olay Malaysia launched it that I’m not aware of. Silly me. I then realized that this is not sold in any physical pharmacy store in Malaysia. In fact you can only get it from an online store, particularly from Supermodel’s Secrets Beauty Store that order the devices directly from USA. Most of their beauty products are imported from oversea 😀

One of my biggest headache of all time is still pimple marks. I have no problem lighten the marks with whitening products but I can’t seems to get rid of it completely no matter what. Review: Uriage Hyséac Gentle Cleansing Gel, The Closest Dupe To My Favorite Cleansing Gel

Rather than my usual 1,000 to 2,000 words review, I’m going to keep this post short. I have people telling me that my product reviews are too detail which I can’t help but to raise an eyebrow. Aren’t review suppose to be in detail? Would you prefer to read half way cause I hate reading a review that are incomplete with just a few pictures that I need to google for another review. Well anyway everyone review differently. Like it or not I like mine to be IN DETAIL lol 😀

Anyway back to the cleansing gel. How I discover this Uriage Hyséac Gentle Cleansing Gel was quite funny. I had this from MIVVA March 2013 edition which means I’ve been keeping it for a few months. I keep a few cleanser near the sink and a few more in the bathroom. One of the cleanser near the sink ran out so I took Uriage Hyséac Gentle Cleansing Gel out from the storage to use. After that I took a short nap. I woke up a few hours later with my eye still closed, walked to the sink to wash my face with Uriage Hyséac Gentle Cleansing Gel. At that time I have a tube of Clarins Purifying Cleansing Gel near the sink as my morning cleanser. Half way through the cleansing I stopped, open one eye to check if I got the right cleansing gel. It was Uriage one alright but how come it smells like Clarins? I stoned in front of the sink, with cleanser and hands on my face for a few minutes before I took another sniff of the cleanser. That is when I realized I found the exact dupe version of the now extinct Clarins Purifying Cleansing Gel. Well maybe not 100% but 98% 😀
