Nowadays who on earth have the time to put on lip balm, then lipstick, followed by a lip gloss after spending a few hours on the face and eyes? NO ONE. By the time I am about to put on a lip product, I am pooped out. I always reach for anything near me rather than really spending time on it. I am a firm believer of applying a lip balm before a lipstick all these while, until I find that the oily surface moves my lipstick around. Rohto-Mentholatum recently upgraded and relaunched their LipIce Sheer Color AND I AM IN LOVE!

Beauty enthusiasts will certainly understand when I say we go through product phases. Sometimes we are into foundation, sometimes blush, sometimes highlighter, at times it is bronzer, and the most frequent kick is lip product. I am not exceptional either. I have been on lip product kick at the moment. I am on a weird phase where I have been buying and collecting lip product for no reason. When Mr Postman dropped off a parcel with Mentholatum’s NEW Sugar Lip Lipbalm, I did the happy dance in the garden before ripping the packaging off for photos.
As someone who prefer to slather generous layers and layers of skincare before bed, sleeping mask is not necessary for me. Although I buy sleeping mask occasionally, I always chuck them under the ‘use when remember’ category. I know, I know. I should have stop buying but whenever something new came up, I was itching to own them. Over the recent weeks I notice that I’ve been slacking on skincare at night. Yes, I became the person who skipped the night skincare routine a few days in a week. I was so sleepy by the time I’m ready for bed. Sometimes I feel guilty so either I’ll apply a thick moisturizer solely or I will apply sleeping mask. One thing good about some sleeping mask is that it is good on it’s own. Like this NEW Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. Not only that. Laneige also came out with the all-NEW Lip Sleeping Mask. Say goodbye to thick lip balm!
The repackage came not just with a new name and packaging but with more benefits than just moisturising and brightening.
Water Sleeping Mask was developed based on 15 years of extensive research evolving around sleeping pack. This newly improvised product was elected as World Class Product of Korea in 2014 by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. What’s so special about this improvised Water Sleeping Mask is the three main functions, a significant upgrade from its predecessors.
Frequent visitors of our local drugstores will notice the new addition to the lip balm section. The all-NEW Chu Lip Lip Balm is a fun, unique and uber cute way of applying lip balm. I squealed in excitement when I saw this cute pink peach shape-alike lip balm.
The word ‘Chu’ comes from Japanese, which means kiss. Chu Lip lip balm is available in four colours – Pink, Red, Purple and Green. Each of it is infused with different unique secret blend of fragrance. However, all of them bears the same formulation for moisturizing ingredients of Olive Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil and Rose Hip Oil.
A few years ago I bought a copy of Marie Claire April 2011 as it comes with a tube of Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. I have heard so much rave on the lip balm so I bought it. Maybe the tube I had had gone bad or whatsoever because it taste awful and I totally dislike the dry texture. I threw that away and never went back to Burt’s Bees for their highly raved lip balm. Earlier this year, I needed a new lip balm for night time so I went to Sephora to look for one and decided to give Burt’s Bees a second chance. I bought Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tin.
Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm comes in two type of packaging, the normal tube or the one in a small metal tin. My room is quite hot in the mid day and most lip balm I had melted with such heat circulating in the room. I figure I would like the one that comes in a small tin. Plus it’s cute so why not 😀
Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is the original lip balm that’s been around since 1991. This small tin contain 8.5g of product while the tube only contain 4.25g of product. Price wise, it’s the same. I bought the tin version for RM22 while the tube version cost RM22 as well. RM22 may sound like a hefty price to pay for just a lip balm comparing to drugstore brand that only cost slightly over RM10 for a 4.5g, isn’t it?
What to do with RM20 Metrojaya cash voucher on hand on a post-Valentine’s Day? You bet I bought a lil gift for myself 😉
Origins has been teasing their fans in Facebook with a special Origins Drink Up™ Hydrating Lip Balm Set for RM88, just a few days before Valentine’s Day. I find it a bit sad that Origins only came up with one special set for the ladies and one for the men.
I had my eyes on Origins Drink Up™ Hydrating Lip Balm Set because they are a miniature lip balm with a few color choices. This means I won’t get bored before finishing a tube and I get to try a few different shade for probably the price of two full size Drink Up™ Hydrating Lip Balm? Plus this set is too cute to resist and I happen to finish all my lip balm at home. Score!
