TRENCH KISSES
Trench Kisses is the new make-up collection for Autumn/Winter 2013, direct from the Prorsum runway. The shades and textures of the collection such as saturated hues of Oxblood, Black and Stone in translucent rubber, high-gloss patent leather and abstract animal print are mainly inspired by the fabrics of the women’s wear show.
The overall collection’s main feature is none other than the birth of Burberry Nail Polish and the new Effortless Kohl Pencil. I’ve heard it, I’ve googled it and now it’s here. Three main colors for Trench Kisses Autumn/Winter 2013 are Poppy Black, Oxblood and Stone. The collection is created by Burberry Beauty Artistic Consultant Wendy Rowe under the creative direction of Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey.
Powder blushes is undeniably the most common and easiest to work with type of blush available in the market. Personally I would choose powder blush over any type of texture. I didn’t say this because I am a cream blushes virgin. I’m not :). I’ve won one from a reputable brand before. I’m not sure if it’s me or it’s the blush texture but that one failed on me. The cream was so dry that it is almost impossible to apply on the cheeks.
I’ve since waved a white flag on cream blushes and only uses powder blushes. Now, now. It is undeniably as well that there is one particular brand that came out with cream blushes and it is quite a hit I must say. What? You’ve not heard about Canmake Cream Cheek before? Good then. Let me briefly tell you about this cute lil pot.

I’ve seen a few types of cream blushes. This one by Canmake is a melting-gel type that comes in a clear, plastic pan. The claim on what this blush give is as sweet as the candy. Canmake said that by wearing this Cream Cheek, you are creating a complexion that exudes health from deep within the skin. It simply means that your cheek will looked like a naturally flushed cheek therefore resembling a fountain of happiness. You know how some people are born with good, fair skin that their cheeks are flushing all the time? Yeah that’s what it meant. I wasn’t exaggerating. Try looking at Canmake website 😀
I have had these Burberry Lip Velvet lipstick duo which I bought back in April 2013 for quite a few months now. I’ve never stuck on to a lipstick for so long and Burberry Lip Velvet is the only one that I used daily since I bought it. The days where shiny, shimmery lipstick rule the world are over for me :D. Matte lippie is IN!
When I went over to the only Burberry Beauty counter at Isetan KLCC, the BA was so thoughtful that he is quite concern if I would even use the lipstick. I suppose that’s because I have not even touch my previous haul of Sheer Foundation and Light Glow Blusher 😀

Burberry Lip Velvet is inspired by the most opulent of English fabrics. It gives the lips a velvety matte radiance finishing. All my life I’ve been avoiding matte lipstick because it accentuate my dry, chapped lips. It’s horrible. But Burberry claimed to differ. Lip Velvet is a combination of nourishing oils and gel dispersed pigment. So it’s extremely lightweight and I promise you that you will not even feel the oil on your lips. Ingredients such as triglycerides and wild rose promise to give an intense moisture as well as long lasting color payoff. In a nutshell, you will get a moisturizing matte lipstick with superb color payoff!
A few months ago I shared with you my first time experience with the brand Neal’s Yard Remedies which you can read from this link. There is one particular product that I couldn’t stop asking about which is the Purifying Palmarosa Mattifier. That product itself cost RM220 for a small 30ml! Yikes! I am not someone that will buy straight away without trying it out first. Good news for me, Neal’s Yard Remedies carries a few essentials kit including Purifying Palmarosa Essentials Kit. You’ve guessed it right. This kit contain a 10ml of Purifying Palmarosa Mattifier 😀
This review is going to be a quick one. But I promise you it’s a good one 😉
