Another great magazine freebies spotted!
If you are my Facebook page follower, you’d saw that I posted a teaser picture on Harper’s Bazaar October 2012 issue that comes with a FULL SIZE Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules for Face and Eye worth RM116.20. If you’re not then you should start following me on Facebook! I will be posting regularly in the page updates on freebies, workshop, promotions etc.
This promotion is ONLY at Times Bookstores. The magazine is selling for RM7.40 so it’s really worth it. I know I said that all the time but hey…I won’t share out if it’s not good right? 😉
However. There’s always a downside. It is manufactured in November 2010. That means you have another 14 months to use it. Although there’s only 14 capsules and you can easily finish using in a month. Don’t go crazy hunting and stocking up 🙂

I think by the time I’m there, the magazine is sold out 🙁
Not to worry. Womens’ Weekly is also having the same giveaway at Borders.
Have you tried the product? I found it, going to collect it later. Hehehe
Not yet. Was tempted to open it yesterday but kinda lazy LOL
I like it for one particular reason – good for travelling. Yay. I don’t have to bring so many bottles of skincare products. Hahaha!
I like the fact that this contain serum for face and eye.
By the way, Metrojaya Pre-Sales today & tomorrow (27-28/9). Time to check out Clarins 😛
If I’m not mistaken, Parkson too. Because the EL’s BA told me to come and look for her. Usually, when Metro has a pre-sales, does Clarins have special sets?
Yes Parkson too.
Clarins always have best buy set. It’s always sold out quick. I believe SFL double set is still available.
I’ll drop by both to check out Clarins and EL counter.
I saw your post in fb earlier on, was thinking to get it, but haiz
women weekly with this freebies only available in Borders ma~?
here dont have both Borders and Times Bookstores 🙁
Yeap. Borders. Stated in my FB 😛
I think most probably it is to boost up the sales at these bookstores? They aren’t far from me but I’ll still have to travel to get there. No jam, it is a bliss. Jam, it is madness.
Yes and no.
For brands that are unable to pay for advertisement in the magazine, sponsoring products is always welcomed.
It’s a win-win benefit for such collaboration. 1) Sponsored brand get more exposure and new user trying out their product. 2) Magazine publisher gets a copy sales boost.
Oh I see, thank you for the information 🙂
No prob. I’m from publishing line specializing in magazine LOL!!
Your industry must be fun and glitzy 🙂
Not at all! It’s not as glamourous as everyone thinks 😛 😛
Blame the tv, hahaha. It’s always so glitzy and glamorous. How’s the product? I have yet to use it.
It’s horrible LOL. I tried a capsule yesterday night. Couldn’t stand the smell of it. Sigh.
I’ve been reading some short reviews of it. Some say it’s so good, especially for dehydrated skin. One wrote that had small bumps on her face – this is what I am worried about. So now thinking to use it or not. My current breakout is making me miserable. I don’t need another breakout. Sigh.
No breakout for me *touch wood* but I can’t stand the smell 🙁
What does it smell like? Nobody commented about the scent (in the short reviews I read).
I don’t know how to explain the smell and I think it’s hard to explain too. I’m used to floral scent from Clarins so everything else is smelly to me. For our humid condition it’s kinda oily although it absorbed fast in.
Clarins is somewhat herbs like kind of scent. Most of the time, I’m not bothered with skincare products’ scents, unless it is really too strong. For me, Clinique’s scent is bearable.
Is it? Clarins scent goes according to their core ingredient. EA is not too strong though.
I know what’s the scent is like now. It reminds me of Vitamin E. Haha. It is oily during application, but matte thereafter. Tomorrow I will put it to test.
I haven’t smell Vitamin E before so no idea how does it smell like. Yes it’s oily but absorbed very very quickly. I’ve been hearing how good it is.
will it smell like fish oil ? like the seven sea fish oil … >_<
Yea a lil fishy smell. Not as bad as Clarins Cleansing Oil though
It is good. The good news, my skin likes the face serum. The bad news, the skin around the eyes dislikes the eye serum. Oil seed horror!
Oh dear Angelina, the oil seed is not good. I haven’t try the one for eyes. So far the one for face is ok for me. Thanks for sharing. Will try the one for eyes with caution.
I started using the eye serum again. Not much, just little bit of it.
The eye serum lasts me for a few usage (night).
We are supposed to apply the eye serum on both eyes. One capsule for both eyes. I don’t know how to do that because it is oily, lol. The face serum, one capsule for the whole face, I don’t have problem with that. I apply the face serum on bf’s face too 🙂
I know one capsule for both eyes babe. No one apply eye serum on one eye. I do it both at the same time. What I meant is it’s so oily that one capsule can be used for a few times.
Yes I know you know that. I was trying to say, how are we to apply the serum (so much) on both eyes? One capsule, it can be used few times, just like what you said.
I think the more you use it the more you get used to the smell. Lately I smell lesser and lesser of the serum.
how do you keep the rest? i mean after your application right, then it still left some.
i never use capsule before, cant imagine it..
I tight seal unfinish capsule in a jar
Thanks for sharing Fiona. I went out to hunt for the magazine as I wanted to let my mum have the Elizabeth Arden goodie. For most places the free gift is out of stock rather than the magazine. I’ve previously tried the ceramide serum before and my skin becomes softer after using it. I agree with you that the smell of the serum is a little challenging to get used to lol.
Hello Fiona, thanks for the very good information! I found your blog just one day after I purchased the Elizabeth Arden ceramide 60 capsules at RM288! What a regret… then I quickly hunted for this magazine (freebie) like a mad lady, called up many times bookstores… finally I bought a dozen! Woohoo!!! Now I don’t know what to do with the extra magazines. 🙂
I know it doesn’t smell good but it is a good product. It suits me right. Thanks again. From now on, I’ll follow you…. 🙂
Hi Siren, welcome to my lil bloggie 🙂
A dozen? WOW! I’ve read there’s a lady who bought 40 mags. I’m still trying to adapt to the smell. I heard this is really good. So I’m gonna ignore the smell and use it 🙂
Hope to see your more here! Nice of you to drop me a comment.
Actually, I don’t pay much attention to the scent. As long as my skin doesn’t breakout, I am happy. LOL. Siren, if you frequent nail salon, hair salon etc, drop the extra copies there. They’ll be more than happy to “take in” the magazine.
Good idea Angeline. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Angelina, that’s a good idea. May be I drop the magazine to hair salon when I need a hair cut soon. But I never do my nail in salon. (I’m quite a penny-pinching person. Ha ha…)
Hi Fiona, like Angelina said… as long as your skin don’t breakout, then that’s ok. Actually the capsules don’t smell ‘bad’, it just doesn’t contain any fragrance, very pure and good for anti-aging. If you know the Taiwanese 牛尔, he recommended this product, it’s best to start using this in twenties! I hope I’m not too late… just feeling uneasy when people call me ‘aunty’…
Yea fragrance-free :). I’m soooo used to fragrant skin care
