MIVVA’s April edition was highly anticipated because of the new box design. The team did a test run in this month’s edition but not all subscribers are getting the new design as the boxes was sent out randomly. I’m one of the lucky receipient to score the new box design. But before I show you the new box, let’s take a look at the content of the “Galaxy” themed edition.

If you’ve been following my Instagram and Facebook you would had already saw this new design on the day I received the box. The design on the lid was perfect in pink and mint green. By far MIVVA is the only beauty box to be bold in their box design. Although I like their previous box, I cannot deny that I love the new one more. But fret not. Everyone will be getting this new design from next month onwards. However the bottom part of the box is quite soft therefore it’s dented due to courier.

As I said before…MIVVA have never disappoint me in terms of putting full size product in the box. April edition was no exceptional as well.

FULL SIZE Beautymate Purifying and Brightening Nano Essence 30ml worth RM69.90

Although I’m delighted to see full size in the box, I’m disappointed to find that the expiry date is 10th August 2013. That’s like 4 more months to go before it expired. Thank goodness mum need some skin care to use so this will be her daily staple from now on. Putting the expiry date aside…I have no doubt that Beautymate is indeed a good brand and product to use.

Previously I was sent some samples from O’slee and I wonder why haven’t I see O’slee in any of the beauty boxes. I kind of suspect MIVVA would be the first to get them in and I was right. MIVVA is fast!

Timeless Truth Charcoal Detox Brightening Mask worth RM10 per piece

One of my hair chalk fell off from the side and dirtied the whole inner box and stained all products and brochure inside the box. It took me a while to use tissue to clean the residue off before using numerous wet tissue to clean another time. The guilty hair chair is the green one so yes everything is quite green now lol. Although the roll of hair chalk is properly wrapped and bubbled wrapped as well, I’d suggest to cover the side too as the chalk fell out from the sides.

I gotta say great job on the product description sheet. The theme for this month’s box is Galaxy. This month’s card is no longer a 1 single sheet. Now the card is larger so it’s folded to 2.

With larger card means larger wording on the product description page. Product title is larger with different color font than the price and description. It has always been this way. Now it’s more clearer and easier to read 🙂

What I Like
Definitely the new box design! It’s girly girl and suits the business very much. However the bottom part of the box is softer. Most of my boxes are dented from the courier although the box was bubble wrapped. But no biggie for me 🙂
Another good product selection in the box. I get to try new stranger brand thanks to MIVVA.
PosLaju came the next day after MIVVA sent out the box. There’s no delay on my side. Bubble wrapping used is double layer type, which is better quality and better protection.

What I Don’t Like
That one of the full size given is expiring in another 4 more months. I’m currently testing a few new brand with complete regime so I will not have the time to try out the product before expiry. The good thing is mum needed some new skin care so she can use it on behalf of me.
One of the hair chalk fell out from the side, broke and stained the box and everything inside. Glad that wet tissue is able to clean the stain off.

Conclusion
MIVVA took the initiative to change their box design from good to better. By far they are the only box that are this creative with the box design. I still think that they have been doing a pretty good job in putting in full size in the box. Only need to work out the expiry date. It’s too near and many people will have problem finishing the product as not everyone will start using it immediately. I like the product selection. The girls behind MIVVA have good beauty sense and they do know well what is happening around the industry.
