Bag of Love and I started off on the wrong foot. It is so true when people say never say never because I did said before that I will not subscribe anymore but hey I subscribed! I can’t stand anything that supports the Earth Month. I can’t stand the simple, roomy makeup bag. I can’t stand the sneak peek!! =)

Initially I subscribed to the April 2013 Bag of Love as I wanted to gift someone but because I don’t have fate with Airpak I was once again left waiting and getting agitated with the courier company because they refuse to send my parcel. I was so due to gift it out so I prepared another gift to my friend instead and so this bag is mine :). I contacted MiMi before that and she follow-up closely for me until one day she was so worried that she decided to drop one off to my office while on the way to her appointment. I refuse her kind offer and opted to wait for the courier instead but MiMi told me that she was also worried about the leaking issue that other subscribers had.

To cut the story short, this is Bag of Love April 2013 edition – The Green Bag. Can I summarize now? lol. I love it! I don’t intend to review at first as it’s meant as a gift but since it’s mine now I think Bag of Love is worth for a review. Let me tell you why.

To be frank I subscribe as soon as I saw the pouch design on Bag of Love Facebook page. This one is wayyyyy better comparing to the debut bag. I like the simple design the most and the fact that it is made of bleach-free canvas. Even the tag on the inside is made of recycled non-woven material. I totally support this kind of go-green effort. The simplicity design of the bag is something that I would use and carry out.

Now, let’s go through the content one by one. Another reason of subscribing is also because MiMi put up a brand sneak peek on the website. No beauty box ever posted sneak peek one short in the website but Bag of Love did and I think it is a smart move. I also like the fact that MiMi is confident with the bag’s content that she is able to do so.

Let’s just say the sneak peek was pretty good. I wasn’t disappointed because it is really good in real.

The item that I absolutely like the most is The Body Shop Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist 60ml – RM39.90.

Basically this is a mist to help with better sleep. Just spray on the pillow before sleep will do although you can also spray on the body but I don’t do that. Before this I always wake up 3am to check email. It was a bad habit that I pick up a few years back due to stress and work load. Ever since I use this I slept all the way till morning. Mum is using it too. She had trouble getting into deep sleep and this helps a bit. I even stock up 2 bottles from the recent 50% discount.

Another reason why I wanted this edition is because of this Full Size Definite Contour Brush – RM88.

This is a brush for contouring but if you are not into contouring like me, you can use it for other purpose. There’s no right or wrong with brushes. Most people use smudge brush to apply eyeshadow to the crease too. But I really can’t take the goaty smell. Even after 6 washes it still smells. Anyone have any solution please let me know ya.

This is one reasonable deluxe size of Phyto. Bag of Love gave out 3 version by random. The one I received is Phytovolume Volumizing Shampoo 50ml.

The bottle is a pour-type. It’s quite runny and a little goes a long way. The scent is quite pleasant on the nose. Makes my hair soft and airy.

Though the Nuxe Brightening BB Cream SPF 30 PA+++ 15ml is a deluxe size, it is actually half of the full size of 30ml which means this 15ml is worth RM60. I have not tried this yet. Going to keep this until I finish some of my BB cream first.

Decleor Hydra Floral “Flower Nectar” Moisturising Cream 15ml is also another premium brand that is in the bag. Besides that there’s also a familiar RM98 first-timer Signature Aromaplasty Facial voucher. I really need to find time to go for the facial cause it’s so cheap! Unfortunately it’s only valid for first-timer and I have two of these. Grrrrr.

We don’t always see Burt’s Bees in beauty box but they do appear once in a while like this Burt’s Bees Richly Replenishing Cocoa & Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion 6.5g. It has a strong coconut scent although this is cocoa. So weird. Must be something wrong with my nose lol. I’m not a fan of the scent and also the creaminess of the lotion. It’s too heavy for me. That is my personal opinion lah. I’m not a fan of body lotion in general 😛

Let’s recap the content for April 2013 Bag of Love. I have this bag next to my bed. Once in a while I like to dip my hand in and take out the stuff inside to see :P. Not that I’ve gone crazy or anything. I just haven’t have the time to put it away.

If I were to choose I would definitely prefer this edition over the debut bag in terms of the pouch design and the content. Definite brush collector would have a reason to subscribe Bag of Love due to the exclusivity of the brush. It is not sold anywhere. The only way you can get it is through Bag of Love. Clever eh?

I never knew the existence of The Body Shop Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist before this. I’m sure many doesn’t too. I’m glad I got this bag because the product is quite good and helpful.

I had also subscribed to May 2013 edition. The sneak peek is looking as good as April edition if not better. Can’t wait for it. This time I’ve decided to send it to my office in PJ instead. I guess I don’t have fate with Airpak Kajang.
