If you still don’t know yet, Pure Beauty is a Korean skincare brand from Korea, brought in by Watsons Malaysia and it’s available exclusively at Watsons stores only.

Last week, Watsons Malaysia launched an all-new Pure Beauty anti-aging skincare range; Pure Beauty Youth Restore Lift & Nourish by sending all the media to an evening cruise along Putrajaya lake. And since I haven’t been to any Watsons event for over a year, I make myself available for the product launch.

Pure Beauty Youth Restore Lift & Nourish range comprises of the latest breakthrough in anti-aging innovation. There are a total of four products in this new range and these four products promise to rejuvenate and restore youthful skin. This new skincare range contain a blend of unique natural formulas that was specially concocted by Pure Beauty’s Korean dermatological team. Hey, if there is one person that can came up with one good skincare, that would be the Korean 🙂

Youth Restore Lift & Nourish is able to help those who needed an anti-aging regimen to dimish fine lines as well as to restore youthful radiance skin. What’s even best is that the range is made from all cruelty-free ingredients but rich in antioxidants to fight free radicals. It features four key ingredients:

1. Liftonin™ Complex – boost elasticity and reduces wrinkles.
2. Red Korean Ginseng Peptide, Green Caviar and Blue Lotus Extracts – lock in hydration.
3. Certified Organic Active Extracts – soothe skin and prevent early signs of ageing.

I can’t tell you how the whole range performs because I only got two products out of the four to try. However what I can tell you is the very first impression upon using it for the first time.

Youth Restore Lift & Nourish Moisture Day Cream SPF 20 (RM54.90 / 50ml)

I thought this is a serum due to the bottle but a look closer and I realized it’s a cream and it comes readily with SPF20 in it. For a cream product WITH SPF in it, this product is quite light in texture, much contrary to the creamy consistency straight from the bottle. It is formulated with Anti-Ageing Complex to lift, firm and moisturise the skin. The SPF20 is a bit too low for me but since I always apply sunblock prior, this is just an added benefit to protect my skin against UVA / UVB sun damage and free radicals. It dries down to velvety soft finishing, again, very much to my surprise. The smell of ginseng is definitely there, subtle and disappear thereafter. But do note there is a floral scent to it that is much more stronger than the ginseng and that could be a little distracting. My face felt some cooling sensation after application. It could be only be me.

Youth Restore Lift & Nourish Repair Night Cream (RM55.90 / 50ml)

I’m still pretty surprised at this point as I discover that this Repair Night Cream is quite a cream-gel texture than a cream. The texture is somewhat lighter and watery than Moisture Day Cream. It is enriched with highly concentrated active ingredients vital, which is crucial to the skin during night time to reduce fine lines, improve dull skin complexion and provide supple skin the next morning. The finishing is still velvety satin but with a slight stickiness to it. Not a biggie since I always sleep with heavy skincare on. The ginseng smell is stronger in this cream but luckily there was no strong floral scent to it. You will like this cream if you’re not into scent and ginseng scent doesn’t bothers you.
