Estée Lauder Staff Sale 2015 Report and Haul

One of the most anticipated yearly event has got to be the one and only Estée Lauder Staff Sale, which I like to call it as the mother of warehouse sale. It is beyond just the massive discount offerings at the sale. To me it is the girly get-together day for me and my friends. It was fun!

I didn’t thought of writing about this year’s sale due to various reasons but since I skipped last year, I thought I might as well note down what went down this year for reference purposes. This may also serve as a ‘guide’ for you if it’s your first time on what to expect and prepare for the sale as I do receive loads of emails, PMs on Facebook on what to expect at the sale. It’s tiring to repeat again and again as I’ve written about it at this link as well.

Estée Lauder Staff Sale 2015 Summary
Every year I managed to secure a few tickets. I do not ask for a lot, usually just 4 tickets to prevent wastage. I know there are tons of you wondering how to get the ticket and some of you have been bothering or rather stressing and harassing me over emails and PMs on Facebook in giving you tickets. Yes. Not asking IF I have extra BUT demanding for it. First of all, I DO NOT WORK for Estée Lauder Malaysia Sdn Bhd. I too have to ask for tickets myself and I suggest you try it too. How? If you are a regular customers of any brands under the company, I believe you will have one BA (beauty advisor) that is particularly close with you. Ask from him/her! If he/she have extra, he/she will give you. However, no promise. It’s totally up to him/her if they want to give you. I remember my first year tickets was from a BA working in MAC. Anything is impossible if you try to ask. So please stop harassing me 🙂

Last Saturday was the Suria Meriang Staff Sales (now known as Estee Lauder Malaysia Sdn Bhd Staff Sale), also nicknamed by me as the mother of all warehouse sales was held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel. Did I or did I not went for this yearly affair? Urrrmmm well, I did but I wasn’t allowed to publicise it so I won’t be telling you how it went this year. Oh bummer 🙁 . So instead I thought of sharing with you several smart shopping tips that I practised personally in order to constrain myself from overhaul or impulsive purchase. Suria Meriang Staff Sale 2013 Haul

I found out end of last week (12th Apr) that this year’s Suria Meriang Staff Sales is happening on the 20th April 2013 and I haven’t get any pass yet! I have only a week to get my pass and get a partner in crime. Quickly I sent an email to someone I know in Estee Lauder. She replied immediately, cc-ed the PR girl and told her to send me 6 passes. By Monday (15th Apr) I still haven’t heard from the PR and I dropped her an email telling her I can pick up those passes as I know they will all be busy preparing for the sales. You know what? The courier reached me in the afternoon on the same day. That was fast!

This year I re-invited my last year sales partner, Chin Ching but she is in India and her plane home is on Saturday itself. Her sister who is a reader of the blog doesn’t have anything to buy so she is not interested. Last year both the sisters were so sweet that they wanted to send me something as a token of appreciation which I turned down. I had a good time shopping with Chin Ching and they owe me nothing. Nonetheless I’m happy with their kind thoughts. No one actually do that to me. Normally they would just ignore me after that.

Suria Meriang Staff Sale 2012 Haul

It is true when people call this the mother of all sales. I called this the QUEEN of all sales!

I was too excited to sleep early so I stayed awake till 12am watching a Malay sitcom movie; Peluang Kedua. Maybe I had coffee earlier so I’m still not sleepy. Which is weird as normally no matter coffee or no coffee I’d be sleepy. Must be the anxiety as I spent the whole night worrying how the crowd would be, to double check if I have the invitation card ready etc etc.

The next day I woke up a 4am. I think I slept briefly at 1am and dreamt of ghost omg. Had a cup of coffee, bath, pat on some skin care, powder and I left my house 5am. I drove to the venue using Cheras way. That route will bring me directly to the hotel. I reached on my target time which is 5.30am. I thought the crowd would be acceptable but once I exited the lift, there it is. I heard the noisiness and I prayed the queue line wouldn’t be until the lift. As I turned in, I saw the queue line. I quickly called my partner that day who’s a reader’s sister (Chin Ching) and she’s also on the way. As I talk to her on the phone I tried to locate the ending of the line. I couldn’t see it. Then I spot it and quickly walked over. It wasn’t too bad. I was in the middle of second lane. My partner arrived and we chatted while waiting to go in. We were handed plastic bags around 6.30am. At the same time another guy is collecting the invitation card. We hoped they let us in around 7am but nothing happen. By the time 7.30am the queue line is up till the front door so we were let in. I think I finished shopping around 8.30am. But I make my second rounds, third, forth until I was bored and really really sure that I have nothing else to buy and I proceed to check out.

Here’s my haul of RM1,480. I grabbed so much lesser than 99% of the crowd there but yet the damage is huge. The purchase limit for each person is RM2,000. I’m gonna let go certain stuff in the set(s) so do look out for a blog sales!

Suria Meriang Sdn Bhd Staff Sale 2012

Something exciting which I can’t wait to share with you all =)

It’s the QUEEN of warehouse sales. It’s Suria Meriang Staff Sale!!!

I’ve known about upcoming Suria Meriang Staff Sale since a month ago but I have no idea where to get the ticket. Then I remembered a friend of mine is working at MAC. So I tried my luck by pm-ing her in Facebook. I was so happy when she told me she have the tickets!

I didn’t tell her that I wanted 2 tickets. I thought of asking her when I see her but this morning she pm-ed me in Facebook saying she only left 1 ticket. I guess my friend Casey will need to pass me her order since I only have a ticket. I guess luck was in my way when my friend Bobo passed me 2 tickets! But then my friend told me she couldn’t wake up that early *slap forehead*

So here’s my quest in finding someone to go with me. Read below really carefully if you’re interested.

YOU
Must be:-
1) Able to go alone (meaning no bf/mother/father/auntie/brother/sister) using the extra ticket with me as 1 ticket only admit one person.
2) Able to wake up early and be at the place by 6am sharp to queue with me.
3) Someone who really wanted to haul. Not someone that just wanted to “see” or “get the feel” of what warehouse sales is like. In another word, no look see look see! Don’t waste my ticket!
4) Able to pay for your own purchases. You must remember we don’t know each other.
5) Enjoyable to shop with and have fun!
