Aubrey Organics Green Tea & Ginkgo Skin Care Travel Set

A few days ago I received a sms invitation from Skin Lab for The Beauty Project to collect my free Aubrey Organics Green Tea & Ginkgo Skin Care Travel Set worth RM49.

I made my way to Mid Valley on Thursday evening after a good friend of mine; Vincent called, asking me to accompany him to Mid Valley. I have a few redemption to make all over Klang Valley and thank God I remembered this!

This is the trial set which was given to me. It is for Normal Skin. It definitely look a lot nicer than the previous shower gel redemption whereas they used an empty bottle and not a trial bottle with their brand, ingredients and direction to use printed on.

I just realised the expiry date is…behold…September 2011! I don’t have time at all. Basically I need to stop my current skincare and start using this.

A week ago me and my colleague got ourself a cup of froyo (frozen yogurt) from Spoon Mid Valley and we headed to Clinique event counter inside to get ourself a make over, a cup of mini smoothie of our choice and Clinique product worth RM70!

After we paid for our froyo, we were given a redemption card with our receipt stapled on and we were told to present this to the ladies at Clinique booth.


We came home with this! Moisture Surge 7ml and Vitamin C Lip Smoothie in Mango-thon. We were told other colours are all out of stock and they only have this. The lip smoothie is a trial size but it sure do look like normal size.

Thanks to Clarins latest promo for Metrojaya Mid Valley, I had the chance to restock my favourite Shaping Facial Lift and grab some other product which I’m interested with.

Shaping Facial Lift 50 ml – RM225.
With this magic serum I’m able to reduce and eliminate water retention, puffiness and slim down my face while improving my facial contour, eye bag, fine lines around my eyes and forehead lines that I got from applying make up.

Pore Minimizing Serum 30ml – RM147.
This really works! I didn’t believe the SA before this and she handed me a 3ml sample tube to try at home before purchase. I can see results in just a few days of applications and I’m hooked! So I decided to get the full size and here it is.

Cleansing Milk with Gentian (Combination or Oily Skin) 400ml – RM142.
This is an unexpected or unplanned purchase. This is the 3rd promo from the promotional flyer above and this is actually jumbo size limited edition. I tried this at Clarins workshop and its good. Coincidently my make up remover is going to finish up soon so this promo came just on the right time. Although removing make ups are important but I hardly spend so much on it. Being a Clarins fan, I just bought it within 1 min of considering.

Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse (Beige)

A late post.

2 weeks ago I redeemed my Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse 30ml (trial size) in Beige after seeing a cut-out coupon from Sin Chew Jit Poh Sunday paper. I redeemed mine at KLCC outlet. The coupon said there’d be mini make-over and thank goodness there isn’t any as I’m not so into mini make-over.

As the paper was promoting the latest Sakura Collection, I actually thought I’d be getting that but instead I was given this and I was told the formulation is the same only difference is the packaging? =.=”

Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse is with SPF30 PA+++.

My gift was manufactured in August 2010.

Beige definitely looks like chocolate mousse!

This is the UV Base after spreading.

I tried it on the same day but I hated it! It’s too drying, too greyish for my skin and is more sheer coverage than Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen High Protection. I have some break out on my face and this doesn’t cover anything of it. As I didn’t achieve the result I want, no pics were taken.

However today I give this can a try again. This time I double my mousse and it was better than the first try.

FREE Clarins New White Plus HP 3-pc Sample

I requested for a voucher to redeem Clarins New White Plus HP 3-pc sample but I totally forgot about it until last week. Luckily there’s still stock available when I headed to one of the counter.

I was given Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser 5ml, Whitening Pure Aqua-Lotion 10ml and Intensive Whitening Smoothing Serum 3ml .

As the BA was friendly and chatty, she gave me 2 more additional sample!
The nice BA recommended Pore Minimizing Serum 3ml but I wouldn’t want to spend too much this month without knowing if it works or not so I was given this to try. I was also given Extra-Firming Tightening Lift Botanical Serum 3ml as I wanted to slim down my face due to medication.
